  1. Roll on Friday, can't wait to see HMHB at the Liquid Rooms.
  2. I bought X-2 first, and while it was a fairly decent game I still think X shites all over it in terms of storyline and gameplay. I haven't played either of them in a while, but I;d probably be more likely to play X from the start, as the plot more than makes up for how linear the first half of the game is. I also found Tidus' fish-out-of-water buffoonery pretty amusing, though the less said about the forced laughter when you leave Luca the better, I still fucking cringe any time I hear that. I also seem to be one of the few folk on here who actually quite enjoys playing XII, due to the more open combat style and license system being an interesting change. If folk want to talk about properly linear though, then XIII wins that hands down. This is one instance where I actually prefer the sequel.
  3. Great, we've essentially offered Murty the job, or at least our own version of him.
  4. NES SNES Mega Drive Sega Saturn N64 PS2 Xbox Xbox 360 Xbox One Gameboy (original) Gameboy Colour PSP Also played a fair few games on my sister's Binatone, ZX Spectrum, PS1, Gamecube and Wii. The family PC years ago (Windows 95) came with Doom as well, if that counts. I only really play GTA, FM and Undertale on my laptop.
  5. I'm also headed to the Barras tomorrow. I only got the album delivered a few days ago, worth the wait tbf. Every pub in the Gallowgate will probably be fucking rammed tomorrow as well.
  6. It probably counts as a bit shit if nothing else. Ross County's new signing Michael Gardner will be proud of his contribution though... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47904627
  7. I've made a last-minute decision to see them tonight, support act sound decent enough so far. Edit: Also booked a ticket for HMHB in June, should be a laugh.
  8. Aye. I've got a bad feeling about this, 2-0 Leith Theatre.
  9. Away to Mogwai tonight at Leith Theatre, should be good.
  10. John McGinn getting in touch with his feminine side on the right.
  11. I was going to try and get a ticket for Hyde Park, but made the mistake of waiting till payday in February. TRNSMT was a decent consolation tbf. I was at Leith Theatre last year for Idlewild and it was a pretty good venue, curious to see how the interior looks now.
  12. I'm going to see Mogwai at the Leith Theatre next month, otherwise I'd have looked at this. Last saw Twilight Sad supporting Chvrches a few years back and they were pretty fucking decent. Got myself a ticket for Ocean Colour Scene in December and Chvrches in February as well, can't wait.
  13. Forgot to say earlier that The Temperance Movement were pretty solid as well. Also went along to the King Tut's stage just before they came on, and I'll probably look out for the Amorettes in future, was quite impressed with them.
  14. That's the entire point of The Darkness, isn't it? They were shit-hot though, and I was fucking buzzing before and after. Alabama 3 gave a good account of themselves as well, I thought. This is the first time I've been to see Texas live and aye, they were fucking superb. Away to see if GUN are any good live.
  15. Thanks to your post, I went into what was once a useless account I set up, and I am now on my way to this. I already had a ticket for tomorrow, so the fact that Gerry Cinnamon has been moved to a later slot is helpful. Starting a day off with a bit of Sheds is never a bad thing.
  16. In addition to this short list (compared to most on here), I've visited New Douglas Park and Stadion Stozice, and revisited a few other grounds.
  17. Just left the Idlewild gig at Summerhall. Paws were a pretty good support act, missed Man on Moon.
  18. Played it earlier and my first impression of it is that it's good, but not spectacular, may change my opinion after a few more listens though. I'm also headed to the Hydro gig, so hopefully the new stuff sounds better live. I'm also looking forward to The Coral as well, never been to see them.
  19. Just bought a ticket for TTF in June, and thinking of going to Electric Six in February if I can get time off.
