Heard this on Radio 6 earlier, apparently his first solo work in about 30 years.

Thankfully I've managed to get myself a ticket for the Usher Hall gig, can't wait* *will probably forget until the month before.

Am I fu[test][/test]ck! I'm not averse to drinking at daft times, especially at the end of the working week coming off a nightshift, but I do actually want to see most of the day! Chances are I'll get up about 8 or 9, then after breakfast I'll head to a former workmate's place, have a few tins then head into town in the afternoon. While everyone else fannies about at the shows, I'll probably head to the cricket club or Star for a pint, and eventually end up doing a mini pub crawl, bumping into a few folk I haven't seen for years, and also meeting a few total zoomers that I'd be glad to never see again. Pretty standard fare, really.

I'll be heading through to Linlithgow for the Marches on Tuesday, and I'll probably end up posting pretty much the same thing on here that I did last year. I might end up at the Bo'ness Fair Gala Day as well, if I can be arsed.

I've just finished my first week of nightshift (Sunday-Thursday 22:00 - 06:00), so far my sleeping patterns are a bit fucked, and since I have a week's annual leave from next Wednesday, I'll probably have to start from scratch in sorting them out. That said, it's been a fairly easy week as I've been able to just get on with my work without any hassle. The increased shift allowance should come in handy as well!

Purchased from a pound shop earlier, pretty fucking decent so far. Just started on this song:

Try living down there for a year and a half, and you'll know the real meaning of soul-destroying. Granted I lived in the dodgiest set of council flats in Bo'ness, but even taking that out of the equation, the town itself was a bit like a ghost town whenever I was there, and it did seem that (as a very general rule) the further up the hill you went the nicer the houses were. The lack of decent pubs there didn't help, there are only about one or two I can think of. Thank feck I moved to Falkirk, then Edinburgh after that!
