  1. Used to play it regularly when I was younger - was only a 2 min train ride and a 10 min walk to get to. As has been mentioned before, 5-7 are particularly bland, all playing very similarly. 2, 8 (with the right conditions) and 10 are all reachable par 4’s, 12 is a bugger of a hole to pick the right weight of club, and 13-15 can kill an otherwise good round. Always found it was really well looked after as well.
  2. Not jealous at all mate - hope it's as good as the Man Utd game a few years back! Tell me ma.......
  3. Yeah, fantastic gig! Didn't hear much of the 1990's, but what I heard was good.
  4. Managed to get tickets to see Idlewild's "Warnings/Promises & acoustic" and "Make Another World + Captain" sets at King Tuts
  5. Andy's taken the first set 6-4 against Michael Llodra at Flushing Meadows, but has proceeded to drop the second 6-1. Hmmm......
  6. I know. Answer your texts and I might make more of an effort.....
  7. I need to come from Paisley? That's a bit out of my way, but if that's what you want....
  8. Delays at the ABC last night were brilliant. Wish they'd play a slightly longer set though.
  9. Was at the Idlewild gig tonight at Byblos in the Merchant City - amazing as always!
  10. I had an absoluter nightmare tonight, like I do anytime I play fives. I really should give it up............
  11. Moobs, what's the situation for next week?
  12. If you're likely to be short of players, I can play on Easter Monday, and again a fortnight later.
  13. Murray through to the quarters after a 2 sets to 1 win over Fernando Verdasco this morning.
  14. Manic Street Preachers - Motorcycle Emptiness
  15. Clearly, that's where the hangover kicked in. If only he drank more
  16. No way that I'm playing tonight - I was lucky if I got an hours sleep last night. I'll still be there though so I can laugh at everyone, and I've got a football with me.
  17. Aye, but you're a cynic anyway, and you're not related to him It was fairly obvious that it wasn't solely down to injury from the outset, given his lack of matches.
  18. Couldn't argue with a word that Jamie Murray said - when your brother says things like that publicly, you know it's not as simple as injury. Andy's been saying for ages that he probably wouldn't play much Davis Cup because he'll prioritise ranking events, but when he's not played in 3 weeks thanks to his early Australian Open exit, surely he should've been raring to go for tomorrow? With him, we might've had a small chance. Without him, and as HB said, we'll probably lose 13 sets to 0 (with the last two matches being dead best-of-three singles rubbers). edit - BBC reports that he's committed himself to our next match, either a quarter final in April () or a play-off in September. Is that unless he suffers a first round exit at Wimbledon or Flushing Meadows?
