  1. Very strange that. And more than a tad concerning with a day and a half left to sign folk...
  2. Is MacLean going to you guys? Don’t get the negativity about him, reckon he’d score goals at this level.
  3. So having checked the website I see that sadly you’re correct. Now I’m far from a Jim Duffy critic, I reckon his hands will be pretty tied behind his back in terms of budget and being honest, we won’t be as attractive an option for a potential loanee as other part time clubs. However you do wonder what Duffy is thinking here. Surely extending Scullion’s deal and trying him upfront would be worth a go? Tierney isn’t good enough for this level and particularly not when he get so little service. No harm to the lad, he works hard but I just don’t see the merit in retaining him. More so, in extending his deal, that gives cause for concern if you ask me.
  4. I’m hoping beyond hope that you’ve got them the wrong way round?
  5. Long way to go for such a disappointment and such a weird line-up. Peterhead deserved the win, fair play. What’s blindingly obvious is that we need bodies, and quick. Which makes Scullion being on his way even weirder. And tierney up front just won’t do. I’d have rather had scullion up there today. Tierney’s a trier but he just isn’t what’s required. Big week ahead.
  6. It’s not on the site in our list of fixtures which id expect it to be if it had been rearranged.
  7. We gave a good account of ourselves but no matter how the loss came about, no great surprise. We have a terribly thin squad but they gave everything and we defended resolutely which is positive. Onto the important stuff of the league now, hopefully we take a bit of confidence in holding Aberdeen for so long, best of luck to the Dons in the next round.
  8. A tad unfair on Layne and PJ but a decent gag nonetheless.
  9. Like most of the rest of us, I expect this to be a bit of a doing with Aberdeen likely not getting out of second gear. It’ll be a good day out though, and a good occasion. I’m hoping for one or two positives to take from the game, for it not to be an absolute hammering and as many folk through the gates as possible which means £££ and then hopefully squad reinforcements before the month’s end.
  10. I don’t disagree but money will come into it. As will how attractive an option we are. Would DU and Wardrop (as an example) prefer a loan to us or say, Alloa?
  11. I’ll be delighted to be proven wrong but there isn’t a hope of us getting 5 or 6 in this month. Realistically I reckon it’ll be 2 maybe 3.
  12. He’ll get far better and financially lucrative offers than us unfortunately.
  13. You do wonder how things would have gone for both him and us if he has signed for us. Can’t help but wonder...
  14. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, Sons fans, where ever you may be.
  15. Awful. Our defending is laughably bad. Not much more that can be said really.
  16. Comments on referees can be made whether your team wins or loses, what a bizarre stance. He was awful in the way he got dozens of decisions wrong throughout the game. As I said though, none of them influenced the outcome of the game. We absolutely deserved to lose our defending and goalkeeping was amateurish from start to finish. Doesn’t mean the referee wasn’t awful though, which he was.
  17. The referee was absolutely awful yesterday. Numerous incorrect decisions and some that were really baffling as to how he got to the decision made. Not that any of them influenced the game in any way. We were awful and a pub team would’ve beaten us yesterday we were that poor.
  18. I’m not on Facebook but I can only presume it’s in relation to the shocking refereeing performance yesterday.
  19. It’s not very in-keeping to see such a fair, level-headed post from a Clyde fan in this thread. Very welcome though.
