  1. Aberdeen’s extra Twitter followers are all obsessed haters from Kickback and Hibs.net, imo.
  2. I'm not trying to elect myself as the anti-.net spokesman of Hibernian but the hating Aberdeen more than Hearts thing is some really next level stuff. I didn't think Hibs fans gave a f**k about Aberdeen, never mind that carry on. If someone actually posted that, they're a massive drama queen.
  3. Aye pretty much the first thing I posted at full time was that Aberdeen were the much better team today. Everyone I was with today thought the same. Whenever I’ve read hibs.net, it’s just so far removed from anything resembling my experience of real fans. I don’t think I’ve ever met a Hibs fan who thinks we always play swashbuckling flair football. I’ve never been on an Aberdeen forum but I’ll bet I could find whatever ridiculous myopic opinion I set out to look for on there too. On your second para I would say that, imo, Aberdeen have been a pretty dirty, cynical team in recent years (not today particularly). When Hibs had a spell of playing the same way prior to soft as f**k Heckyball, I loved to see it. You need a bit of that at this level.
  4. About 99% of this is some complex Aberdeen fans have made up and have to search forums full of slavers to actively look for. I don’t mind saying Aberdeen have had our number for ages, it’s objectively just the case. It really doesn’t read like you find any of this hilarious tbh.
  5. We need both. As soon as our one defensive midfielder is out we look vulnerable in front of the defence and if Allan isn’t going to perform consistently, we need proper competition for his place. Aberdeen exposed the Gogic shaped hole in our team with some good football at the edge of our box. I don’t know if that’s just how they play now or if it was a clever adjustment but either way, I didn’t think McInnes had it in him. While Aberdeen are beating us that easily, we don’t have the right to even think about 3rd. Major improvement needed.
  6. That’s been coming, cigars out stuff. Good away performance from Aberdeen tbf but also shite from us. We already knew this but the depth in this squad needs to be vastly improved.
  7. With Gogic at the top of that list Back to having no defensive midfielders available, brilliant.
  8. Worrying about which player could be out really emphasises how bad the depth is in this squad. Stevenson would be a worse but not disastrous replacement for Doig, Mallan or Hallberg the same for Newell and Allan or Horgan could take the one spot they're competing for. Otherwise, there are about 8 starters whose absence would concern me.
  9. Pleasing. Obviously this increases our chances but I still wouldn’t be shocked if he goes in the next one or two windows. You’d think a Cummings style deal where he signs an extension with a reasonable release clause would be the obvious play for his agent. The depressing scenario would have been him leaving for peanuts so at least that’s off the table for now. Tick tock eh.
  10. I don’t know why some Aberdeen fans are so touchy about their style of football bring slagged off. Do you think it’s good to watch? Our last few games have been televised and widely ripped as total shitfests. Which they 100% were, so who gives a f**k about people calling it. Anyway, if Hibs can keep up this kind of form I wouldn’t care if we don’t string two passes together all season.
  11. I can’t tell if we are going to go up several gears or if we’ll keep playing shite and have our luck run out. The good thing for us is the attacking options across the league look worse than they've ever been. We’ve improved a bit defensively but our two goals conceded (that were given) looks as much to do with our opposition being crap in the final third. I think having a few players who are dangerous on their day might see us into around 4th.
  12. Seeing Yes at over 50% without don't knows is what I've been waiting to see. The don't knows are utter shitebags who have no intention of actually considering a Yes vote, imo. Encouraging but still tight tight tight. Absolutely seething
  13. Got away with that, poor stuff. You could maybe say the same for Motherwell but a clean sheet was particularly undeserved for us. The defence, who have started well before yesterday, looked shaky throughout. I thought Porteous had one of his worst games I can remember. We already knew this but we desperately need more depth in the squad if Europe is the aim. On Gogic question, he wasn’t great - particularly with the ball - but it would be interesting to see stats on how many interceptions he makes in a game. Even when he’s having a bad game, he shields the defence better than anyone we’ve had since Bartley at Championship level.
  14. One of the best things about him so far is that the defenders look much better with him around. I feel a bit shan slagging off Hanlon so much now. Some of the stick he's had for the last year or two has still been deserved but the last few games have really highlighted how much the defence was being let down by not having a DM. Suddenly they're not constantly charging about into no man's land and what do you know, they all look quite good.
  15. Great stuff from us in the first half. Dropped off again in the second but I definitely won't grumble with a 4-1 at a ground we've been shite at recently. Although as Livi posters are saying, the drop off from Livi is as drastic as our improvement. Good to see Horgan contribute. The first two are the kind of easy looking goals that we will hopefully see more of. The team is balanced quite well that you can play either Horgan in a 4-4-2 or Allan in a 3-5-2 without changing the other 10 starters. Nisbet/Doidge and Gogic/Newell are shaping up to be two brilliant partnerships. I didn't realise Sibbald was playing until I saw his name here. He used to routinely give us a terrible time when Hibs and Falkirk were closer in the pyramid. I suppose he has technically went on to a better level since then but I'm surprised his career hasn't gone further than it has.
  16. Who would be a politician. Cautious exit from lockdown: Boo, nanny state, stop killing the economy, wee Nippy making it all about her. Some dafties ruin in for everyone after getting down to f**k all cases: ffs shambles, how could Sturgeon let this happen!!!
  17. Some state the big boy league is in with this Covid stuff,. That’s when we are months past the worst of it. Manlike Neil should’ve got Sturgeon telt and finished the season though eh.
  18. It’s almost like having a summer long beamer led to wishful thinking from Hearts fans about our situation. An option at both CB and DM seems like a good idea but I hope it’s a permanent. Taking players on loan from Rangers every window doesn’t sit well.
  19. I still have good memories of Commons, when he turned up on an emergency loan and smashed in a late winner v Falkirk; thus sending the P&B diddy forum into a collective hissyfit. Some laugh that. Twat of a guy but, 250k We’ve all seen this move from the OF a million times though. I guess we know for sure that Celtic are in for him now. There is no way Boyle will be here past this window. Hopefully he continues on from Saturday and increases his value.
  20. I'm surprised to see the defence being picked out for so much criticism. Considering the midfield and attack had no control of the game in the second half, the couple of good chances Killie had is not bad going for our back three. I thought they did reasonably well. Newell's composure and protection of the ball is excellent. We need to trust him more and let him control the game for us, rather than aimlessly getting rid of it and inviting constant pressure. Doidge was a good addition on that front, things seemed to stick a bit more up front once he came on. All very simple stuff but it was pleasing to see someone in the Gogic role again. A bit less headless chicken stuff from the centre backs with him there too. Not the best performance every but I'll happily take the opening day shree points.
  21. Huge opportunity for Doig. If he looks like the real deal, it would solve a lot of problems. If it turns out he's not ready yet, we're in trouble.
  22. My preference would be for Hibs not to be utter shite at handling anything like this. The club deserve some stick for being a tinpot operation when it comes to any logistical issues (what a shock that folk are apparently having issues this morning) but some of the emotional stuff here is hysterical in all senses of the word. Re away fans, they won't have turned away money from Kilmarnock out of spite. For Hibs fans, yes, they've been clear about needing a ST to see all games but not having a right to see every game your team plays without a ST is a fact of life (for clubs like Hibs) at the best of times. I've had times where I haven't been able to afford a ST and missed out on games. That wasn't the end of the world either. Yeah that is weird. Hibs obviously just didn't want the money
  23. Hearts fans turning on each when the siege mentality wears off at different times will be funny and all but I’m fascinated by what happens with Budge’s popularity. Her Victor Orban approach for winning over the PHM’s seems to have been bafflingly successful. What happens when she goes back to constantly telling off a bunch of now furious imbeciles. Plenty more good content to come from this, imo.
  24. Well the club don’t seem to think they can do it ‘easily’ or the PPV package which they say they’re going to bring in eventually would be available for this. It’s a shame for genuine home and away Killie fans who are missing out on a game they would’ve seen in normal circumstances. Nevertheless, I get Hibs worrying more about getting this right for 11k if their own customers than a few hundred Killie fans. I’ll bet there are still issues tomorrow. For the majority of Killie fans who wouldn’t have gone to this anyway, it reminds me of the Louis CK bit about people complaining about flight WiFi not working. This wasn’t an option five minutes ago, get over it.
