  1. Can’t remember a player regressing as quickly as Albinson has. Doubted it at first but the fact it coincided with Timmins leaving maybe isn't a coincidence. Clarke was getting pelters from people standing around me today. I can’t really recall him doing anything wrong since he came in. Certainly not to the level of Albinson when he was chucking them in.
  2. Honestly just get a life mate. It was funny if nothing else.
  3. It was the sponsor who picked it and clearly did so to make a point that we were pish. I doubt Brown really cares that much.
  4. Well no, it’s blatantly down the injuries unless you’ve got the tinfoil hat on.
  5. You can’t praise Brown for getting a result last week with a makeshift team and then write him off this week when that same team loses. He’s making do with what was left to him and the fact he’s managed to get wins where Bullen wouldn’t have tells me that he at least has some idea of what to do but ultimately needs a summer to be judged.
  6. If Brown continues on his current trend of win, lose, win, lose etc then we’ll be fine. We’re still picking up points which is important but we’re still largely pish. We need to hope a few of the injuries are back next week. Namely Chalmers and Musonda.
  7. Chalmers had a knock last week so I’m guessing it’s gotten worse that he doesn’t even make the bench. I don’t even want to know who’s playing left back out of Stanger, Sanders or McGinty.
  8. He does strike me as another in a long-ish list of young players who have been touted as having a promising future but for whatever reason can’t make it work. Not sure if he’ll be here next season or not. I’ve long said that the level of clubs that we send players out to isn’t the best. Yes you’d imagine the standard is one where players should be standing out but it’s not an ideal environment for young guys to develop. Most of the football is played between the centre halves and strikers with long punts and if you’re a smaller, more creative player you aren’t going to develop much. I’m not sure what the alternative is as reserve football doesn’t have much of an edge to it and League Two clubs don’t seem to be that keen on taking our players on loan. At least Ecrepont and Watret seem to be doing well and getting regular game time. Would hope that Watret is used properly next season alongside a more established option.
  9. At the end of the day it’s a friendly so the only conclusion you can really draw from the subs is that Clarke wants everyone to get a bit of game time. I do think that the team that started tonight is our strongest team with the exception of Hickey over Patterson but that was enforced. I still think Gordon is our best goalkeeper but Gunn hadn’t really let us down before. Only other two players who are lucky not to be starting are McGregor and Ferguson but I’m not sure who you drop to accommodate either of them.
  10. Tonight shows that Shankland isn’t of the level we need either. Very good top flight forward in Scotland but he’s not what we need at this level. FWIW I think we’re a forward away from being a good team but that forward needs to be on the same level as Gilmour or Robertson. There’s no one near that right now.
  11. Colin Steven the ref tomorrow so no point in anyone heading along to this.
  12. Genuinely had no idea how far down the league they were. What a riddy.
  13. What’s this c***s issue with going to uni? Did he not get the exam results he needed or something?
  14. He's a terrible goalie. Mind watching the goal McKenzie scored up there last season to secure us second place and he looked like he’d been shot by a sniper when attempting to save his shot.
  15. That penalty decision is one of the worst I’ve ever seen. Thankfully it didn’t cost us.
  16. I would’ve thought McGinley was signed to eventually displace Musonda and even allow him to move back into central defence. It strikes me as a very short term signing and he’ll be away in the summer regardless. I know Brown has been tinkering with the squad as of late but McGinly at least has history of playing left back. I’d think for this double header against QP and Airdrie, where if we take all six points we could be safe, he’d go with someone who’s a bit more tried and tested.
  17. Guessing we’ll be throwing McGinley into the team against QP if Musonda is away on international duty?
  18. At least he’s firing now which might mean we end up getting a bit of cash for him. If Accies want him permanently I wouldn’t be giving him away for free.
  19. I don’t think anyone can question that Chalmers doesn’t run about a lot but he hasn’t got a defensive thought in his head when we don’t have the ball. Thats almost as bad when you expect everyone to be defending from the front. I like Chalmers, I think he’s a good player but I wouldn’t be spunking a load of money on him for next season as I think over the course of a season he doesn’t do enough.
  20. Delighted for Bryden to get a goal yesterday. I think you can slowly see signs of improvement in him since Brown came in. Lee Bullen obviously loved him but there was zero development on show since he made his debut against Arbroath about two years ago.
  21. If only the Caley had appointed Broony rather than large Duncan.
  22. I think he’s easily nullified imo. Too many times he disappears if a full back gets tight to him. I think he can still contribute this season as ultimately we cannot be using this team for the rest of the season. Murphy has to come back in as well. The only player I think that is 99% likely to be away next season is McGinty. I don’t think Brown rates him at all.
  23. We narrowly missed out Paton so then went into panic scatter gun mode and went for Graham and McKay. Both would’ve been decent signings but neither would’ve made sense as a long term replacement for Dipo as they have zero resale value.
