  1. Thought that was a better half from us generally than most of the season. But our defending will continue to undermine those efforts. We just don’t ever look that assured. Encouraging signs though but nothing more than that at this point.
  2. If you can, take some time to enjoy yourself. Do somethings that are just for you that maybe you’ve not been able to as a husband and a dad the past few years. That’s what I’d do anyway. Your situation is one I find myself fearing a little bit (even before you shared your story). Just that life, work and kids will slowly erode a marriage away until the point you realise it’s gone. My wife and I are very happy just now and talking about a 2nd bairn so sounds silly but I reckon it can creep up on you. I totally get what you’re feeling though, I can’t think for a second what I’d do as a single man at this point. Probably just be tragic and throw myself at my career.
  3. They know how to kill your buzz don’t they
  4. No idea how good he is now but I’ll give Warnock credit for recognising and addressing the complete lack of width and pace in the team.
  5. Is it really 3 points in 17 games for livi? Ooft. Hadn’t appreciated it was quite so bad.
  6. Reached the point where every upcoming fixture is greeted with a heavy sigh. Lucky we aren’t having to cram one in every few days for the next 9 months or something. Hibs are almost as Jekyll and Hyde as us so f**k knows what will happen here. Would be nice to see us put in a 90 minute performance not peppered with heart in mouth defensive moments, goalkeeping calamities and/or ridiculous goals conceded. Or just something, anything to get me interested in this team again.
  7. Welcome to the forum, pal. it’s a better forum than most, but we all still talk absolute shite
  8. I don’t think anyone can really say that tbh. Not even VAR. It’s just a bit sad how far down the rabbit hole the offside rule has gone. It’s all a bit dull.
  9. No no no, you don’t get to take a moral high ground here.
  10. Aberdeen threw it, then Motherwell gave it back. Then everyone got bored and just dropped it.
  11. And I will concede if you do. Just remember that a mere mention of the fact we had games in hand by someone doesn’t justify your slightly strange triumphalism.
  12. Folk talking about lines and dotted lines in relation to offside give me a fucking headache. But I long for a VAR-less world and that would’ve resulted in a 4-3 defeat so get on with it.
  13. It’s in our hands but we are far too fragile at the back. Even after we came back to 3-3 last night we still looked pretty shaky in moments and like we could concede again. Killie, st Mirren and Dundee so far don’t look like falling away in any significant fashion so to sneak top 6 we need a run of form that I just don’t think we have in us based on what I’ve seen. The defence (and Roos) are too much of a liability and as an attacking force simply not potent enough to compensate.
  14. This post says way more about st Mirren fans than Aberdeen. Happy to be proven wrong by you evidencing anyone saying this or showing perceived arrogance that our games in hand would see us propelled up the league table.
  15. You can go too far either way on warnock tonight. The starting XI was an absolute nonsense and you could put the majority of the blame at us being 3-0 down to him. It may be the short term nature of his appointment and lack of personal jeopardy in the success of this role that emboldens him to ‘try things’. That could be harsh, but I just failed to see the logic of the lineup. But, he was decisive and changed it so credit where it’s due. Possibly gets slightly fortunate that we immediately score after the changes and the momentum shifts. But I’m happy he made those changes so quickly. The last half hour was disappointing though, we ran out of ideas and it didn’t really feel like a goal was coming. Motherwell steadied themselves and looked comfortable. We got very rushed and direct and came away from what we’d done to get back in the game. Would’ve been nice to see a change then but options on the bench were lacking. Offside is tight but not complaining too much, we’re quite fortunate with the Motherwell goal, which is another absolute howler for Roos by the way. Longer term it doesn’t really do anything for me. Even if we’d got the 4th I’d still be feeling like this team is way too unreliable to put together any sort of run to push for Europe. I do believe we’re bottom 6 bound now and the season is going to just go through a slow death.
  16. Hmm. Cant say my overall feeling is good after that. Need to sleep on it. Good to see glimpses of an actual Duk.
  17. Yeah. Excellent, well researched and insightful journalism thread for this pish.
  18. Sorry pal, I’ll respond to your very relevant and serious point ASAP.
  19. Oh lads, do not get sucked into actually debating this nonsense.
