  1. Well yes if there are people arguing that players of that level earn that because it's a short career then yes, it's moronic. I have never, ever heard someone say that though. Obviously players are greedy and Neymar is a grade A c*** but he earns PSG a fair wedge of money through shirt sales, exposure and so on. The alternative is PSG just pocketing that for themselves which I'd say is pretty unfair.
  2. Is the point just that a players salary isn’t determined by the length of career? I mean, that is obviously correct but I can’t say I’ve ever come across someone making that argument.
  3. I can't say I know the process, just meant it's unpaid work. I'd guess they are picked from some posh tennis clubs in London though yeah.
  4. 10 seconds is a guess but you would absolutely add on time. As soon as a point ends, a ballchild instantly hands a new ball/towel to the player while another runs on and collects the ball, it all happens while the player is readying the next shot. If the player had to jog and collect the ball, then jog and get a towel, then towel himself off, then get ready for the next shot, it definitely adds time.
  5. Dogd are basically bred to take their lead from whoever owns them. Yes, some have personality traits that make them more difficult than others but essentially if a dog is doing whatever the f**k it likes it's because their owner has showed them that it's ok to do so. Some people either don't care or have no idea how to train or interact properly with a dog. It's a frustration for sensible dog owners as these dogs are most likely to run up to another dog in public as opposed to random humans.
  6. I think so. A quick google says there's 675 matches played in 2 weeks at Wimbledon. If you added say 10 seconds onto every point played because you were having to jog and collect the ball you'd add quite a bit of time onto the tournament.
  7. According to the OP, Romeo is in a majority and therefore has made a spectacular c**t of himself by putting it in here.
  8. You'd add quite a bit of time to every match if the players were having to go and fetch balls between every point. It wouldn't make great entertainment and probably fucks up all the scheduling too. It makes perfect sense to get volunteer kids who probably love the experience to do it.
  9. True. We see Mckenna as an asset to be cashed in so I'd like to think we have prepared a list of ready made replacements that kicks into action as soon as Mckenna goes (hiya Jason Kerr ). I believe Celtic are still keen on Mckenna so would expect that to ramp up if a deal for Tierney happens soon.
  10. Gudge, please report to the Aberdeen thread so we can have a quiet chat with you.
  11. Agree with you on midfield. I still think there's a good chance Mckenna will go this window and we'll have to replace him though.
  12. Last season is the only time I've felt we've had a sustained period of injuries that felt worse than a lot of clubs around us. The Motherwell semi final was suspensions, not injuries I believe.
  13. I have a feeling gloating too much about funso to the hibees may come back to bite us in the arse but that Edinburgh evening news article is hilarious.
  14. If you think I’m a sad c**t for enjoying time with the dog that’s no issue with me.
  15. Because we want to go to the pub and we enjoy the company of our dog.
  16. A lot of rangers fans interacting with each other about football in this thread. Sort it out please lads.
  17. Id say if the mere presence of a dog in a pub upsets you then the problem is firmly yours.
  18. If a dog runs up to you in the pub it’s because whoever owns it has no control and shouldn’t be anywhere near dog ownership, never mind the pub. Dogs are absolutely superb and given the OP seems to think it’s more acceptable to be in a pub full of Celtic fans we can file it in the irrelevant opinions thread.
  19. You are absolutely right. I do not see your point.
  20. The world is over populated and getting rid of people who don’t like dogs would be a good start.
