Tierney is a very good fullback who is capable of doing well in England. Folk saying otherwise are trying too hard IMO. Plenty of people were jumping up and down not long ago that he wasn’t ambitious enough to try a higher level as well.

The short career argument isn’t used to justify their wages, it’s to justify why a player may prioritise wages when choosing what club/league to play in. Like why so many young Scottish players go to England and spend a lot of time on the bench making money. It IS a short career and I’d suggest you having an issue with someone trying to maximise their earnings during it is simply your issue. Also frank lampard is a terrible example given there’s a decent chance he’ll be unemployed again by Christmas. Your complaint has some credence if you’re discussing the very top footballers who clearly earn enough during their careers to sort themselves for life. But the vast majority don’t earn enough in that 15-20 year period to not need a career afterwards.

I don’t know much about Curran and his work outside of goals etc but to be fair to may he is well liked at Pittodrie. Most fans I know desperately want him to find the goals because all the other parts of his game are brilliant and he has contributed a lot to us in spite of not scoring.

Yeah I was raging at the time. It looked so easy for them. I spent all of the second half begging us to get a 3rd to put it to bed so for it to finish 2-1 was a massive kick in the balls.

Got an issue with an inflamed tendon in my thumb. Making a lot of weights and upper body exercises really painful. Went to the doctor and basically just gave me ibuprofen and try and not do it anymore damage, will just take time to heal

There’s a lot of revision of history on these things. The Scottish cup win at ibrox was amazing. But without the early goal and sitting back the way we did it could in an alternate universe go very differently. If we lose I’m sure we’d be accused of shitting the bed. Our record against Celtic is poor tbf but our record last season against a side that pay multiples of what we do on wages and transfer fees was excellent.

In seriousness, very pleased. Was a little concerned they were in the final year of contract. There will be some seethe over this that I don’t understand but best ignored.

For clarity I’m not saying it’s a brilliant business model in the slightest, and not particularly sustainable. But when people suggest they’re up to their ears and on the brink etc it’s clearly based on hope not knowledge.
