  1. In fairness the club would have supplied it as Musonda is in another from today's batch of training photos. Only looks like fitness work so he'll still be a while away. Appears Reading was training too although his eye looks a mess.
  2. The idea that some footballers might want to play football which appears to be his attitude. Situation is he can join us for less money but for a guaranteed start and potentially achieve something or sit on Livingston's bench which is the exact reason he's pushed for moves before. Also not playing regularly leaves him sort of match practice potentially impacting deals he'll get in the summer.
  3. Mullin's requested his last two loan moves and got them so I think if he really wants to stay with us he could ask for his Livi contract to be ripped up. If we've offered a figure in line with our wage structure then it's up to Mullin to show some flexibility given his current situation. A 4 month deal and he can reconsider his options after that if it's about money. Ayr can only do so much.
  4. Essentially he can't play for any team that has a similar league season to us i.e. Aug-May but could move to Ireland for example as their season run Feb-Nov. Not that I see him moving away from the Glasgow area as him and his partner seem settled and also has a young son. to think about rather than himself.
  5. Not sure that's true. Truth is probably more the CB's (Roscoe, Baird, McGinty etc.) got all the flak but in reality Reading's has always looked weak defensively. Lacks a bit of aggression to stop crosses, easily beaten inside and 4 or 5 goals lost due to his failure to defend the back post when crosses come in from the left. In fairness this is the first time he's had the same manager for a year but concerns would be he's not showed any improvement since. Attacking wise he seems reluctant to cross from deep and most of his crosses from the byline go out for a throw in, corner or goal kick. IMO his next move is probably the National League or below. Hopefully proves me wrong but if not I suppose we'll always have that goal.
  6. Think Bilham played LB for Meadow when he was on loan. Unlikely he'd get off the bench even if Reading's out though.
  7. Was talk of attitude issues but the loan was only until the 14th January and he played that day for us so maybe it was a mutual decision. Wouldn't blame him given some of the football we played that season. Do think it's funny the amount of stick him and McKenna get as if players can't improve over time The likes of them and Cadden showed glimpses of quality with us but no consistency. More a case of wrong time than anything else.
  8. Must be as he played 1 minute for St Mirren in the League Cup so can't go anywhere else.
  9. I suppose if they made us sign him permanently then he would be eligible to play them if it happened so in their best interests to leave it as a loan deal as you can't play against your parent club.
  10. Martindale's mentioned needing players to leave in order to repay their COVID loan and pay for VAR. Given Mullin can't play for anyone else this season we shouldn't be parting with any cash at this point.
  11. Rule 12.5 is: When a Match which is postponed, drawn, or abandoned is played or replayed, only those Players who were eligible, by means of their registration, to be listed on the Official Team Line for a Club at the date fixed for originally playing the Match, are eligible to be listed on the Official Team Line for that Club for the rescheduled Match
  12. I'm sure only players eligible for today's game can play in the rearranged game, unless I've made up that rule in my head.
  13. Probably the question who would play Andy Murray in a movie.
  14. Funny how it's only when he loses a close match that people say it's time to retire. They should at least be consistent. Hopefully they've managed to sort something else to do tonight at such short notice as he going nowhere yet except to maybe have baby number 5 if Kim was in Australia.
  15. Ridiculous defending from Murray to get the break back. Kokkinakis rattled at the minute.
  16. Was being linked with Barnsley yesterday. Financially we would struggle to match them if the interest is real.
  17. Robbie Ure looked decent when Scotland U19's played Kazakhstan at Somerset in November. No idea if he's available on loan though.
  18. Be surprised if it was this option as it's unlikely we'd pay a fee for anyone in this window. Would need to have a similar contract situation to Gondoh and be at their current club on a non-contract basis. Would rather we wait until the summer to explore the English non-league market. An U23 player on a 3 month loan with a view to signing or someone from up here is more likely I'd think.
  19. Glad to see I didn't jinx him completely. Turned it on at 2-1 in the 3rd set only for Murray to fail to convert a break point for the first time and get broken in the next game. Hopefully Kokkinakis v Fognini goes 5 sets.
  20. Yeah after the last couple of seasons I'd have taken 6th-7th at the start of the season and safety secured early. Our start means most people would now be disappointed with that but even 4th would represent a very successful season given how tight the league will be to the end. Excluding Raith, performance wise it probably goes further back to the Hamilton game but this team at least has some character. Agree we need something new although hard to know what that is exactly will be due to the recent change of shape and our injury list having ever moving return dates.
  21. Club probably have 3 options available. 1. Go all out for the title which would require 4 players in 2. Bring a couple in and target the play-offs 3. Assume we’re unlikely to be relegated so sign nobody and use the existing squad while getting a head start on planning for next season All 3 have risk and rewards attached but could see number 2 happening with a CM and ST joining. Option 1 is unlikely since the January window is notoriously tough and not helped by the 9 sub rule these days either. Doubt option 3 would go down well but if it offered more game time to some of the younger players then the experience gained would at least give them a chance to stake a claim for next season which wouldn’t be the worst thing.
  22. Would have been hypocritical of Geraldine to complain though given she voted for Michelle in episode 2. Finished it today. Think it helped that I only knew the swimmer so watching the show all the reality stars blended in. Think a UK celebrity version would be a tough battle between our Z-list celebs having the acting skills to be traitors v the rest of them having the intelligence to figure them out. No doubt skill watch it though.
  23. Should (if he stays) mean Mullin playing on the right every week which is a good thing. Hopefully Hewitt is excluded from the 1 in 1 out scenario and we get another body in. Although since Mullin, JML, O'Connor and Ashford are now the wide options and we've got another 4 ST if Young is still here then you'd want someone who walks into the starting 11 or it's a waste of time.
  24. Thought the same when I read it but watching this week's press conference the article seems to be based entirely on that. Particular comment was more of a quip from Bullen so hard to tell if there is more to it or not.
