  1. Apparently we're interested in a loan move for James Maxwell. Not sure if there is much truth in it unless we want to move Reading to LM.
  2. Andrew Heaney and Jonathan Hogg were part of the U18's last season and were listed online as trialists but noticed the stadium announcer read out their names. Didn't pay attention to what he said for the sub goalie but possibly was a youth GK, although not sure if Sandberg is still at the club.
  3. He initially joined Burnley U23's on loan last October from the Angers B side before the move was made permanent in January. Given the number of U23's that stayed back to train with the Burnley first team I'd imagine anyone that made the trip to Scotland will be available for loan provided we can guarantee enough game time and the players are genuinely interested in joining.
  4. Burnley U23's playing Rangers B this afternoon. 6 out of the 17 man squad are trialists so no guarantee Burnley will even sign them. Trialist, Trialist, Williams, Bedeau, Dodgson, Costelloe, Gomez Mancini, Trialist, Trialist, Harker, McGlynn Subs: Armstrong, Helm, Unwin, Tucker, Trialist, Trialist
  5. Today's training included how to press teams. I may have misheard and it included de. Didn't look like McAdams was one of the GK's but could be wrong as I then realised I've never seen him in the flesh. Also I was sure I noticed Fjortoft so given the team news above my scouting mission clearly wasn't very good.
  6. 20 y/o QPR striker Charley Kendall now following the club on twitter... https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/under-23s-news/u23s-in-profile-charley-kendall/
  7. Looking at their squad they do have options up front if it's an area we want. Harker sounds like a Hopkin type, McGlynn represents Scotland so could suit him, Richardson seems like the most rated and Max Thompson might sign just so someone re-words the personal life section of his Wikipedia page.
  8. Joel Mumbongo has joined Accrington Stanley on a season-long loan from Burnley. Hopefully they don't loan out everyone before they play us.
  9. We could always rely on Shankland scoring goals himself whereas since he’s left it’s needed to be more of a team effort. However in recent seasons we’ve also lost McDaid, Forrest and McCowan who could always chip in with 4 or 5 and it’s harder to see where the goals are coming from this season (similar to last). Could really do with either a Stevo or Pat McGinlay type midfielder who can take some of the pressure off the strikers.
  10. I'm guessing on of the reasons McHugh was previously mentioned is because transfermarkt has him down as being out of contract. However this suggests otherwise https://queensparkfc.co.uk/squad-update-news/ so neither him or Simon Murray will be playing for Ayr anytime soon.
  11. Been told the trialists weren't up to much so not sure what will be more concerning tomorrow night. Same guys appear proving we're desperate or no trialists which would suggest we have no actual targets. Probably end up throwing the full budget at Obika only to be rejected and end up with Denny Johnstone.
  12. Can't see anyone interesting follow the club on twitter since yesterday apart from McCarragher today. Don't think the other two outfielders were from the same agency though as that FDA account only referred to a player on trial. The No.11 is in a a few of the photos TNS posted and the No.12 appears in the background of one. Keeper in the 1st half is wearing 21 which was Sandberg's number but it doesn't look like him. The blonde keeper could be Nicky Hogarth but that's only as he's represented by CAA Base who are the agent for a some of our players and Hopkin himself.
  13. I would be hoping he's maybe one for the future rather than a starter. Only really comparison we might have is Liam Tomsett impressed for us in this league years ago and hasn't really made much impact beyond the 7th tier. Although it may just be he never kicked on after his loan spell. As for the budget claims is that something that was said on here and has grown arms and legs or was it actually confirmed by the chairman or manager? If they have confirmed it themselves then they only have themselves to blame if people are unhappy with the level of signings. However if they haven't put it out there themselves then I'm not sure if I was in their position I'd want that made public even if it's true as it will bring more pressure and valid criticism if this is the signings we make.
  14. Mark Kerr had Kyle Mitchell and Sam Alderson on trial not long after he got the job. Both were ex Ytterhogdals players but Mitchell ended up at Gretna and Alderson signed for Hungerford so not sure what the standard is like.
  15. Possibly Greg McCaragher who is represented by that agency that were sending us trialists.
  16. A few missing, hopefully no injuries though. Kinlay Bilham is a defender from the academy. Was involved in pre-season last year before going on loan to Irvine Vics.
  17. TNS have put a team sheet up for themselves on twitter so assume it's either a half 1 or 2 o'clock kick off
  18. Bit closer to home, Birmingham City are basing themselves in Troon for their pre-season. Maybe they can leave behind the next Jude Bellingham for us too.
  19. Kerr may not have leaked as much to the press as McCall but last summer he did have a chat with AUMedia for 34 mins. Also although some people disliked him for daring to be different I personally enjoyed Mick McArdle using his laptop to give us midweek updates after B&W TV launched. Maybe we'll get something this week or it could be down to the availability of the media team. As for using player agencies it's nothing new at this stage. I'm sure under McCall we had players from some agency turn up at one of the Gretna tournaments and it felt like Andy O'Connell won a raffle to play for us, only for us to release him just as he learnt how to play football.
  20. Clients appear to be a selection of National League jobbers and the QoS goalkeeper
  21. Probably could have had a decent career at this level. Instead after leaving us he signed for a Falkirk team where Pressley liked to play out from the back which was never his game. By the time he re-joined us on loan he had gained some extra pounds and wasn't the same player. Still not as bad as Neil McGregor who we signed at the same time and was apparently a Premier League player.
  22. Not sure it's been updated since the end of the 19/20 season as some on the list either have a club or been and gone at clubs that aren't listed as previous clubs.
  23. Started following around the time Todd joined on loan and I assumed at the time it was as they played together at QoS. Nothing interesting recently but I'll keep checking.
  24. I'll say Somersetfan but if I'm right then he was last on 7 hrs ago so he'll gonna have some catching up to do on here in the morning
  25. I suspect he already could be on here based on a post that was made a couple of months ago in response to comments about the hub not being opened by the start of the season. Smith was actually on a podcast the other week and talked about not being ready for the backlash on social media after the Arbroath game so may need to lay off it all season based on current expectations.
