Raith Rovers v Hamilton Accies
Specky Ginger replied to roverthemoon's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
I honestly thought that Connolly, and Vaughan minutes before, could have made more of an effort to do something with the ball rather than wait on the contact coming. No idea how both the referee and linesman missed Connolly throwing the punch in the aftermath. Not much to add re the performance to what's already been said on here. -

Piss poor. Had a good amount of possession early on, but created nothing then got more ragged and careless as the half went on. -

It'll be interesting to see how Hamilton set up tonight. If they shut up shop and go for the draw it gives them the psychological boost of jumping Cove, but keeps them adrift of Arbroath, whereas if they go all out for the win, it brings Arbroath to within striking distance. -

We haven't managed three league wins in a row since returning to the Championship. Hopefully Tuesday is the night we break that particular statistic. -

Me as well. I remember getting him in a packet of football cards (cardboard, not stickers) along with a dawd of pink bubblegum around 1977/78 (Ayr were definitely Premier League and Clydebank's Mike Larnach was in the packet as well). I remember the 'thrill' of seeing guys who I had football cards of playing in the flesh at Stark's Park the following season. -

Hamilton gave their all for the full 90 plus minutes yesterday. Bossed the first half and when it became Attack v Defence in the second half, the Defence won. -

No complaints at the outcome. You can't turn up for 45 minutes and expect to win a cup final. Accies bossed the first half and defended for their lives in the second. Hope Accies fans enjoy their night. -

You'd be better getting the train to Grahamston (which is served by trains from both Edinburgh and Glasgow, but not on the fast Edinburgh - Glasgow line, if that makes sense). -
