  1. I'm sure I read an Accies fan saying that they'd sold some tickets for every section of the ground they were given, so I'd imagine that would be difficult. Is there a fans bar at the ground likely to be open?
  2. I was reckoning about £325,000 all in. 40000 @ £15 * 40% less Vat = £200,000 £100,000 prize money on exit £25,000 TV money
  3. I think this boy was eclipsed by the burd pushing the pram who was frantic about the inscribed brick she'd bought for her bairn at Ibrox.
  4. McKechnie the butcher is still on the go yet, albeit they merged to create McKechnie Jess a good few years ago.
  5. They'll maybe install the glass fronted boxes in the railway stand that John Sim was proposing.
  6. Murray will be bricking it as they'll be looking to bring in Barry Ferguson as manager
  7. From the same page of the Joma catalogue as Morton's kit, but still way nicer than the red and white monstrosity we wore in last season's final.
  8. It is a good stand to watch from. I've been fortunate enough to get hospitality through there a few times and the the view of the game is excellent.
  9. Moving on from all the Seaside League nonsense above, does anyone know of any pubs running buses to the final on the 26th? The buses organised by the club were fully booked pretty much immediately and the buses from the Novar and Dunnikier Golf club are also full.
  10. Does anyone know of any pubs running buses to the game with spare seats? The buses organised by the club were fully booked almost immediately. Tired the Novar and Dunnikier Golf club, but both full as well.
  11. Oh yes, absolutely. And no doubt they'll have some mouth breather like Alex Rae to impart his wisdom.
  12. How solid a foundation will largely depend on how many of our better out of contract players are offered more lucrative deals elsewhere.
  13. Morrison will rightly get slaughtered for that, but big questions about your 6 foot plus centre half being out-jumped by a guy half his size seconds before.
  14. The one thing that really struck me tonight is that, despite our issues with central defenders, we made the right call in not offering Sean Mackie another deal.
  15. I would reckon that could well be true, unless someone did it for Clydebank when they had consecutive promotions in the mid 1970s. I'm sure the Pars fans nicknamed him Winker and the Rovers fans called him something very similar.
  16. Much as it pains me, I agree with you on it being a cracking ground. The atmosphere was immense under the shed on the north side, especially in the dark where you could hear, but barely see what was on the other side. The noise cranked up when the teams used to emerge from separate doors, rather than a tunnel, in the main stand and had to trot down the steps on to the pitch. We actually used to win an odd game or two through there when it was like that.
  17. I can't remember an awful lot about that game, other than the fact United must have won as they played Motherwell in the final. If you want to talk about refereeing injustices, fast forward a few posts to the photo of Moyes and Watson re the 1991-92 league cup semi.
  18. When you think of John Lambie, Frank Connor, Ally MacLeod, Eddie Hunter, Jock Wallace and Jim Leishman, you soon realise how bland and sterile today's managers are.
  19. East End hosted the 1979/80 League Cup semi final between Dundee United and Hamilton as well.
  20. Sad news. A great servant to your club and fitting that you named your Main Stand after him. His teams always played good football and produced a conveyor belt of young talent.
  21. Especially with Morton and Ayr having a game in hand against each other.
