  1. I sincerely hope it’s Malcolm at left back with Newbury continuing at centre mid. The thought of Lennon at left back and a midfield containing Malcolm and Hilton fills me with dread. Chucking Durnan straight in is a huge gamble given how long he’s been out. Healy hasn’t impressed me at all so far so I’ll it’s a good opportunity for him to prove a point.

Any other manager might change up the formation a bit after a complete shagging and injury problems but I think Farrell would rather curl up and die than try a different shape.

  2. Whilst I’m not against the idea of people protesting, it wont make a blind bit of difference when it comes to Mackay. The guy genuinely doesn’t care about supporters or what we think. He has no interest in communicating with supporters. When was the last time he provided us with any form of update? After we were relegated when he told us about the floodlights and GPS vests?

Past regimes may have had a private member clubs mentality but I don’t ever remember a chairman at DFC who views supporters as a hinderence rather than the lifeblood of the football club. Without us there is no Dumbarton  FC and Mackay would do well to remember that.

Perhaps @Sons Fan could convey to the chairman how unhappy the support are and could approach the chairman for either an update or a Q&A with supporters?

  3. I see that Stenny can clinch the title at our gaff on the 30th. I really want it to happen so that Neil Mackay has sit and watch their celebrations and host their celebrating directors post match. Here’s what you could’ve won Neil, if you weren’t such a useless, spineless waste of space.

It will certainly be the closest Uncle Faz will get to a league trophy.

Results went our way last night - Bonnyrigg penalty in 96 minutes when down to 10 men.

We need 4 wins to guarantee the title, assuming Spartans were win 9 in a row. Feels like it is getting close but I am still panicked!

The cherry on the cake of our shitey football club would be you boys rocking up to our place and securing the title on our coo field.

Two club ambassadors had their positions withdrawn after they entered the hospitality area after the Rangers Cup-tie.

What on earth is a club ambassador?

I’ve heard about that incident but the version I heard varies slightly from yours. I had no idea they were ambassadors or what they actually done mind you.

Don’t know if they were emptied exactly, but haven’t several folk like Stephen Lynch and the groundsman walked away because of how badly they were treated?

The groundsman wasn’t a volunteer, he was a paid employee who quite rightly chucked it when the club fucked him about. I know of a few folk walking away because of the state of things but I didn’t about any volunteers who were punted?

  7. Fair play to Stranraer, all the pressure was on them tonight and they delivered.

As for Dumbarton FC, I don’t know where to start. Farrell is a bum, of that there is no doubt but the players turned in a truly shameful performance. Michael Ruth looked like he was at least trying but the rest of them were embarassing. Lynas, Wilson and Lennon in particular were absolutely miles off it, they looked like competition winners who had won a slot in our starting 11. If I never see any of the 3 of them in a Sons shirt again I wouldn’t be arsed. Ryan Blair also turned in a complete stinker and his OG was as baffling as it was laughable but the guy at least has a little shred of footballing ability. Even regular good performers like Finlay Gray and Carlo were rotten.

Removing Lynas and Wilson at half time was absolutely the correct but introducing a clearly broken Orsi was not. His subs thereafter were just panic merchant stuff and by then end up I had no idea what the hell was going on. 100% shame game from start to finish.

    Farrell out. Mackay out.

Scored a beauty on Saturday and puts in a shift but never looked like scoring that one tonight.

i just think all the talk about him going up a level is a bit out

Michael Ruth isn’t a natural goal scoring poacher. He’s levels above the rest of the team and could easily operate at a higher level. One miss doesn’t change that.

This might be the annual match where Farrell chooses to throw the players under the bus at the end and say it was an unacceptable performance. (Which it is but he always does it once a year.)

The fact that these players feel like they can go out and perform like that says all you need to know about farrell as a manager.

The players deserve to be “thrown under the bus”. They have been shameful.

I heard we're looking to ditch Pix-E-Lottery, the sooner the better.

I’ve also heard the club are looking to move on to a proper camera stream. I do wonder if they are underestimating the costs involved in such a set up when we don’t have any of the equipment already. It also involves getting volunteers on board who have the sufficient skills to operate said equipment.

I’d massively welcome it mind you, the stream is a life saver for those of us who work shifts.

Do you think a full time team will gamble on Ruth? I'm not so sure, he's still yet to prove himself at League 1 level and I'm not sure he's built his name up enough yet to get to a top end team at that level. On thinking about it I actually think he'd suit Stenny perfectly, he's almost the complete opposite of Aitken and they could form a good partnership. The only way we have a hope of keeping him though is winning the play offs.

I reckon a full-time team in League 1 would take a punt no problem, maybe even lower end Championship. This is his first full season with a proper run of games and I don’t reckon he’d command a big chunk of anyones budget given he’s coming from League 2. If any scouts have been watching him this season it would be slim pickings for them seeing any poor performances from him because even when we’re playing shite he tends to play well.
