  1. I believe that’s only the second time we’ve ever not lost an away game in the playoffs? Hoping saturday goes a little better than what followed that 1-1 draw with cowden..
  2. The guy on co-comms is a massive “yer da” but I kind of like it. It’s like yer da on holiday when he has a sun lounger and a pint. Cheery and laid back. Good vibes.
  3. This thread is dedicated to making fun of Dunfermline. We’ve made sure fans of all other clubs are spoilt for choice in how they approach their gloating and goading. There are limitless possibilities. Morton especially can boast of improving drastically under a new manager halfway through the season unlike us. A Morton fan bragging about pipping stranraer and Brechin to the seaside title on the final day about 8 years ago surely isn’t the most effective route to take here.
  4. I’d absolutely love it if the only embarrassing thing to happen to our club this week is this ticket fiasco, but given we play 2 matches of football in this time I highly doubt it. I thankfully left the country after the QoS game so cannot attend these playoffs. Good luck to all of you poor b*****ds that go to these games as, win or lose, I doubt it’s going to be pretty.
  5. At the front of the queue before boarding last night they had 2 slots. One that fits the new basic size (45cm x 36cm x 20cm) and the other for the “large cabin bag” which you can pay to bring (56cm x 45cm x 25cm). It says on your boarding pass if you’ve paid to upgrade so I’m guessing larger rucksacks etc. will be checked if you haven’t paid for the larger size.
  6. They made the carry-on allowance even smaller than before as of yesterday. For the past year you could get away with most rucksacks included in the basic fare.
  7. Thanks I hadn’t seen that. I’m flying with easyJet tonight and had assumed this would be the same for all airlines. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/lifestyle/travel/tui-easyjet-ryanair-jet2-ba-26824282.amp This article suggests most airlines no longer require masks (unless it’s law in the country travelling to/from) except Ryanair KLM Emirates Air France
  8. Not sure if this is the right thread for this but most airlines have now relaxed mask mandates: All flights between England, Northern Ireland, Jersey, Isle of Man, Denmark, Finland, Czech Republic, Croatia, Bulgaria, Scotland, Slovenia, Sweden, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Hungary, Iceland and Poland: it's no longer a legal requirement to wear a mask if you're flying between any of these destinations. It may be helpful to have a mask with you, but wearing a mask is optional and your choice will be respected EasyJet yesterday also implemented copying Ryanair’s awful policy of downsizing the carry-on luggage allowed. This means you now need to pay for additional carry-on baggage if you want to take a rucksack with you.
  9. I will never, ever understand the mindset of (presumably scottish born and bred) fans going to a football match thinking “what songs should we sing the day?” “That everywhere we go one is good, and can do the Lisbon lions song in the 67th minute. Oh aye and the one celebrating an Irish paramilitary group.” Fucking weirdos.
  10. I see id never heard it before at EEP. From where I was sitting I could hear the tune but couldn’t make out the words. I obviously assumed our fans weren’t loudly fantasising about committing a genocide on an entire people group. But I’d still say it’s a terrible look and wish the tune be binned from the songbook. I don’t care if our fans borrow tunes from other clubs whether it’s the OF or anyone else but I see no need to take musical inspiration from bigoted nonsense like the Billy Boys.
  11. Did anyone else hear one of the chants from the NW in the second half last night to the tune of the Billy Boys? Get that so far to f**k. Was up town after the game and the NW lot were out singing homophobic songs about Hibs fans? No idea why, but our club is embarrassing itself enough with the shite we put out on the pitch. We really don’t need anything else bringing shame on the club at this point.
  12. Honestly it doesn’t bother me at all that other teams’ fans are laughing at us. I truly believe that we have a top manager and lots of very good players that can keep us up and make sure we go on to have the last laugh next season!
  13. I counted 46 people in the away end tonight. Fair play to each of them would I f**k have made that journey if the shoe was on the other foot. Feel free to take John Hughes and any players you like on your long journey the f**k away from Dunfermline
  14. Audible, continuous chanting about the IRA there for a few minutes. Clearly the mics at the stands were turned down after it started but the “tiny minority” could still be loudly heard.
  15. 14/15 has to be worse. Even the current mob would surely come above 7th in league 1. But at least that team had a fair few likeable players tho, that would go on to be successful the following season. Reckon we need another clear out regardless of what league we are in next season.
  16. These short corners we have been trying the past couple weeks can get so far to f**k another one absolutey wasted
  17. Scrappy as f**k. We started looking somewhat decent in the last 10 minutes or so there, but I can’t see where a pars goal is coming for the life of me. However I did think that last week against ayr as well so hopefully can pull it out again
  18. Not high praise this but the partick commentators might be the most tolerable I’ve experienced in the league
  19. Guy on my uni course has, in the past week, decided he is now a Burnley fan. In addition to Liverpool, he now refers to Burnley as “we” and “us”. He was texting me about it during their game the other night, and when I mentioned what he thought of the game he didn’t realise they were playing. He then sent me a massive paragraph after the game of how big a win it was for them and how nervous he was until the final whistle. You’re scottish lad, you have no connection to Burnley and I bet couldn’t even point to it on a map of England. The kind of c**t that would rather watch Norwich vs Aston Villa than the Edinburgh derby. Yet come 1st June he will be a massive Scotland fan and constantly slag all the Scottish-based players that they should be dropped for english based players as he has never seen them play. He will also claim to despise England despite cheering on their players every week at club level. If you love English football so much just f**k off and support England.
  20. A win here would be doubly useful because on top of the 3 points it’d (hopefully - dependent on raith) mean that partick go into their final game vs Ayr needing a result and thus playing a full strength side in that game. But surely so long as we don’t lose here we want Queens to beat Ayr? Queens can only catch us if we lose both games. If we do keep up our awful away form then it’s probably a draw we want there to take away the threat of 10th.
  21. Yup that’s the one. After the forfar chaos Jeffries insisted we needed to be tighter in the final and couldn’t afford to come back from 3 down again - right before we went and got pumped 3-0 off Alloa
  22. By all accounts it seems mcinroy has improved a lot at airdrie and has been good for Ayr since earning a move back to this league so good on him. But from where i was sitting for his performance yesterday he looked every bit the lazy shitebag, who occasionally passes forwards, that rotted on our bench last season. I certainly wasn’t wishing he was on our team the same way ayr fans won’t have been wishing to have chalmers back by watching his performance. Both seem to have improved since leaving the former club but you couldn’t tell it by how they played yesterday.
