Ayr miles better first half. Very glad they decided to time waste all second half instead of continuing to outplay us, allowing us to steal the win. I love this club

Fitting this game is against ayr, we have been each other’s closest rivals for 5 or so years now. Both had possibly our worst ever seasons together coming 7th & 8th in league 1. Regardless of how poor Ayr were today there is absolutely no chance Peter Grant would’ve guided us to a 3-0 victory. So whilst it may not be the best test to see where we are at a competitive level, we are definitely seeing signs of hopeful improvement.

This is where the master plan starts to come together lads. Our loss at Somerset ensured the ayr board and fans were happy for one troglodyte in the dugout to be formally replaced by another, meaning they would remain around the relegation places for the rest of the season. Our loss to Morton the other week guaranteed their hopeless manager would remain for another month or so at least, giving us plenty of time to ride off into the glorious sunset of mid table mediocrity
