  1. Is "no football colours" still a thing? I agree that every pub is Buddie-friendly or at least Buddie-tolerant. For reasonable food and simultaneous Live Red Hot Barclays Action you'd be looking at maybe the Stag or McGinty's I reckon. Both a bit further away but still only a 20-odd minute walk to the away end. The Illicit Still shutting down is a pain.
  2. We've got Co-wheels here. I've used it a few times and it's quite good, but given most of the parking spaces are on streets and not under cover, seagull shite can be a bit of an issue. Keeping the cars clean is a big challenge I guess.
  3. Wikipedia agrees with you, and also offers an alternative nickname of "The Rechabites", which is not a word I've ever encountered on my four decades on the planet!
  4. Starting a topic for this because there isn't one yet.... I'm going to guess there are no Banks O' Dee fans on the P&B? This'll be an interesting matchup between the Junior hosts and the team propping up League 1. I have no idea what kind of crowd will be in attendance at Spain Park - the Dons play at Parkhead on Sunday, but Cove's match a mile or so up Wellington Road, and the minging weather, might minimise any "no game at Pittodrie" boost they might otherwise have got.
  5. TD Lions but they 12 man the XP .... get it on the second try though.
  6. Kinda like how I imagine the Pro Bowl to be, not that I'm ever bored enough to watch it. Is this the shittest Thanksgiving matchup ever?
  7. Thanks for this. Then the second yellow for Ojo makes sense. This seems like it's one of those situations where the ref doing what the rules tell him he has to do results in a harsh consequence - similar to Hedges against Sevco last season when he tripped Morelos in the box giving away a penalty and got a red card, as dictated by the rules (and of course plenty of incidents not involving my club).
  8. Going to head up for this one and tick another ground off the list. What's the recommended strategy for a pre-match pint? Is there a bar at the ground? Or park in toon, have a pint there and walk to the ground?
  9. Phone up a right wing radio show and make up some seething nonsense about the protests blocking an ambulance full of dying people, a lorry full of sick puppies (really, really cute ones), and a school bus full of disabled kids, all needing a pish?
  10. Two immense games from him over the last few days. Last week I was bigging him up to my old man as an outstanding non-scoring striker. Partially correct!
  11. Every one of the starting 11 could probably make a case. Adams for me. Gilmour and McGinn close behind.

This Josh Allen thing is getting creepy. Bills in full on self-destruct mode.

    Josh Allen sacks Josh Allen.
  15. I was utterly horrified. Sitting there having a civilised pre-match pint with my old man and my pal, and the next thing you know there's glasses flying around, blood on the floor and auld bald guys with pot bellies trying to put a squad together for god knows what. Retro!
  16. Back from the game now. Motherwell absolutely ruined us. Fair play. Off the park - any information from the Well fans about the wee c***s in their support who were chucking glasses across the bar, attempting to square go a window, and then got a bit of a shoeing outside the Scotia Bar? It was acceptable in the 80s.... I was very much trying to get as far into the corner of the pub as possible throughout, due to cowardice.
  17. "....his daughter has said, as she announced the creation of an new Captain Sir Tom McPoppyface Memorial Charity, with a board of executive directors consisting of her and members of her extended family (directors' salaries, pensions and bonus structure currently undisclosed)"
  18. That's one angle. Another angle is - the presence of a person on a road shouldn't be a green light for a seething motorist to run them over in their unnecessarily massive motor because they've been delayed by 15 minutes on their pishy school run or whatever. Motorists don't own the fkin roads, nor do all legal and moral obligations disappear just because you're a car driver and you think the road belongs to you.
  19. Aye definitely! He would at least have kept himself warm if he'd kept to the linesman's position ie. stayed in line with the last defender. I enjoyed that piece though - it was really well produced, a simple idea, and the deadpan voiceovers from the camera Duncan were genuinely funny. Overall I thought that was one of the best episodes in a while - Bradders fitted in pretty well, some proper good laughs, and getting Chico on was ace.
