It's ok Peter, the cavalry's arrived.

Yep, still stirring it.No, still telling the truth. There has been no announcement from the SJFA regarding the result of the vote on the constitution changes, despite the vote closing nine days ago. Until it is confirmed that the vote has passed, there is no guarantee that the WoSFL clubs will be allowed to play in the Scottish Junior Cup if they so wish.
Sorry if the truth is awkward for you to read.
Ever since you've overthrown the committee at Glencairn you just have to keep on about how bad an idea it is for anyone to even consider staying with the SJFA. Probably some people at your own club not convinced yet?1 -
Still stirring it, I see.
That's still to be confirmed.1 -
Oh, look. Just what we need to see us through lockdown.
A thread about 'Summer Football'.
Just like the other 476 we've already had.0 -
When will people get it?As I understand it (and it’s only hearsay) Broughty voted for the East Region season to be declared null & void. Surely that means their involvement in the Scottish is done & dusted?
The Regions and the SJFA are not one and the same.1 -
But, if you're not taking up SJFA membership for next season, surely Broughty will get awarded the tie?Be same for all clubs , just have to go with who they sign for the season coming up whenever that is , broughty seemed very confident but I don’t think we will Lose sleep if we have to go up there0 -
Nah!! I'm on the wine now, and I love everyone. You could just hate yourself now, that would save time.3 -
That is what I'm suggesting. I just cannot see the benefit to be gained from promoting a known lie. Something that the promoter knew with inside knowledge that it had zero chance of going anywhere. As far as I'm aware, the SJFA's rep at PWG meetings wasn't the person telling the west clubs that. That means the west region exec may have been passing on second hand info that they sincerely believed was accurate. You can certainly question their gullibility level and overall suitability for a leadership role in light of that but talk of them being liars is a step further than necessary.0 -
I know I'm going to hate myself in the morning, but for once I am going to agree with Burnie. So it's peace in our time, all clubs joining the WoSFL for next season. Nobody staying in the Juniors.
Maybe people can now expend their excess energy on making sure all 67 clubs make it to the starting line for kick-off, whenever that might be.3 -
Sorry mate, I'm not stupid and I don't believe you are either. You just don't seem to grasp what is being asked.I'm not calling anyone names but...…
Here's a bit of advice Beenzon before its escalated any further as all you are doing is the exact same and going to make you look so, fekcing stupid
Where did I say I say "s if they already knew that going back to the PWG with Option Z was a non starter?""
I never said that, I was told from 5 different committee men from 3 teams exactly what was said by the committee association guy at the meeting to those individuals.
The ham fisted idiot way they, (association)operate, which I would not be surprised if your one of them, is that they wanted the backing from the junior clubs and then would go to the meeting and try and sell it, That's how dumb shit an idea it is. This is why the juniors are left tin the state they are, no one elses fault, no Lowland, East of Scotland or South of Scotland leagues or the SFA or the SPFL but its all the juniors association fault
Yu are so blinkered in your love for the grade that you will back Shit on the street if it was outside a junior ground.
I am an advocate for the pyramid and I'm not against the juniors but I believe I am objective in everything I say, .
I'm fully aware of what the 'ham-fisted' advice was. I'm not disputing that he told the clubs to vote for option Z.
You claim he lied when he said that the LL was in favour of it. Which I believe he did.
So, please, just for once, take of your Pyramid tinted glasses and think about it for a minute.
Why would he say that? Why, if he knew it was lies, would he deliberately set himself up for ridicule? What could he possibly hope to gain?0 -
You've explained nothing.
lets explain it and why the lowland League wouldn't go for it and what the west region would gain
Option Z - the Lowland League is split into two divisions East and West, with additional LICENSED member clubs being admitted to make up the numbers.
Why would the Lowland want to spilt their league and have a west and an east as it would cause hassle regarding the playoff for a start with the highland league
The west region were wanting to come in and take charge of the west section, so obviously that was never going to be allowed by the Lowland league
You know summit Beenzon, you only have to look at your posts , the daft arguments and know your views.
if I was a junior guy, I would not even comment on it as its actually FACT, the west region member lied to the west region committee men that the LL and spfl were going for option Z when they were never going to do that
for anyone else information the other options were
W - the WRSJFA Premiership ONLY is linked into the Pyramid at Tier 6 (i.e. below the Lowland League and equal in status to the EoSL Premier Division and the SoSL) for season 2020-21. The champions of each, IF LICENSED, qualify to play off for promotion to the LL. The WRSJFA Championship, League One and League Two will effectively be placed at Tiers 7 to 8. The ERSJFA and the NRSJFA remain outside the Pyramid.
X - the WRSJFA joins the Pyramid as in W above. ALSO, the ERSJFA creates a top division of 16 clubs which is placed in the Pyramid at Tier 7 (i.e. below, and feeding into the EoSL Premier Division).
Y - Same as X, but the ERSJFA is placed at Tier 6 equal in status to the WRSJFA, EoSL Premier and SoSL.
Option W was really the only one that could go through
I know what the Options were.
Everyone knew what the options were.
I understand why the LL would not be in favour of Z.
But the question asked was why would the WRSJFA try to lie to the clubs if they already knew that going back to the PWG with Option Z was a non starter?
Why tell a lie when you know you're going to be found out?0 -
Please explain to me how the WRSJFA thought that lying about option Z would benefit them if they knew it was a lie from the outset. Why would they put it to the clubs if they knew that it couldn't possibly happen?Well first of all the WRSJFA have been pillared on various social media platforms with accusations of lying to clubs, yet here we are. We actually this is FACT
West region clubs were told at the junior meeting that Option Z was backed by Lowland League and SPFL, and the five committee people of different junior clubs who all told me this went with Option Z because of what they were told by junior committee member that night. That was infact a lie, clear as day lie. The following day I spoke to two people involved with the Lowland League and SPFL and they said Definitely not. There was never any chance that Option Z was on the table and that was even before I contacted the people to confirm. it was just common sense
Out of all this one thing I will say, to my detriment, I never thought for one minute that we would not have enough graded refs for the tier 6
What could they gain?0 -
What 'massive shift'?Am not trying to justify anything at all. The word sporting integrity covers a mass of things depending on your outlook.i just think that after coming so far then a massive shift from rod petrie and the s.f.a.( wonder why that happened) be rest assured it was nothing done by the lowland league.they are just trying to make the best of it they can.which yes will not please everyone.
Petrie said from the start not to bring conferences back to the SFA.
The LL ignored that and told the clubs that conferences will be accepted.
The LL denied that they would cherrypick, yet here we are.
The WRSJFA have been pilloried on various social media platforms with accusations of lying to the clubs, yet here we are.3 -
Reading between the lines here. But it looks to me that a conference call with Darvel, Blantyre and Cumbernauld represented agreed to go with a 20 team top division, whilst the other call decided that was not acceptable. Darvel threatens legal action and the WOSFL cave in. WOSFL goes to SFA and begs for a 20 team division in at tier 6 without a mandate. What happens if Shotts, or any of the other clubs that feel betrayed, decide to take legal action?

He'll need a new sidekick as Redmond's team have said they're leaving the Juniors.
Stay safe bill and john.
Please bring back the junior podcast whenever the new season starts and keep them great guests coming!0 -
My arse!Ok guys, fair enough. On reflection my reply to bc57 was a bit short and lacking in tact. My intention was genuinely just to be informative, but I didn't do it very well.
You knew exactly what you were doing.
What was informative about your reply?0 -

The gentleman asked a question about what the recent developments meant for this division.
I answered his question.
I don't know why that's a problem.You know exactly why it's a problem.
You saw another opportunity to have a go at the 'Juniors'.
Everyone knows that the WRSJFA will not exist next season, he was asking what it meant for the teams in his current division.
But you're so intent in ingratiating yourself to your new Lords and Masters, that you had to have a pop.
Probably helps with your bid to be their choice of leadership in the new WOSFL.
But it's you and people like you that have some fans wondering what they've got involved in.

And again when Clydebank were there.Did the Maryhill pitch not take a bit of a doing when BSC groundshared?0 -
How long do you think that would last without the West? How long do you think a sponsorship would last without the West? The chances of a winner or semi finalist coming from the East or North has reduced significantly in recent years. Remove west clubs who are now senior and it guarantees the £12k and £5k payments head east and/or north every year.
The SJFA is not a poor organisation to keep funding the Junior Cup short term.
The people running the clubs in the East and North are not shortsighted and would see that without the West it would all fade away.0 -
Can't see turkeys voting for xmas.As they no longer compete in Junior football, doesn't there need to be a change to the SJFA constitution to allow clubs to retain membership? The WRJFA won't exist.
There's no guarantee that remaining Junior clubs will want them in their competition and likely scooping up the money associated with the Junior Cup.
Carnoustie Panmure's recent tweet illustrated that not everyone is happy with that prospect.
Excluding the WOSFL from the Scottish Junior Cup would bring about its demise.0 -
Hooray. Someone has actually got it.Looks like every one got what they wanted then.

LL - Want a tier 6 in the West of the country. He’s on here claiming Gordon Ronney is some sort of hero and without him WRJs would not get accepted into the WoSL. He’s claiming the LL only wanted 12 teams (cherry picking) and when I pressed him it turns out he meant the minimum number required was 12. I’m not looking for digs but I’m not going to stand by whilst others spin this into something to suit their own ends. Gordon Ronney and the WRJs dropped their trousers and conceded everything to the LL. No amount of spin is going to change that.
WRSJFA - Want a tier 6 in the West of the country.
LL - Want a minimum of 12 teams to get started but will accept more.
WRSJFA - Want all 63 WR teams in but will accept more.
LL - All teams will be members of the WOSFL and play in the leagues and cups of the WOSFL.
WRSJFA - All teams will be members of the WOSFL and play in the leagues and cups of the WOSFL. They may also retain membership of the SJFA and be able to play in the Scottish Junior Cup if they wish to do so.
Yes, it's clear that Gordon Ronney and the WRJ's dropped their pants and got shafted.2 -
I asked the question nicely.Beenz,
I've been following this forum for months as I'm interested and care about the pyramid and what happens to Scottish Football and also enjoy the banter from the majority of punters in here. I don't post a lot, but I do read nearly everything and just wanted you to know you just come across as an utter condencending twat (feel free to report me).
Paassbackdave has asked a simple question, try answering the question, it was asked nicely.
All your posts just seem to try to put people down and belittle them, does this make you feel like a big man?
What's it to him?
His club has never accepted that they were Juniors, and they couldn't wait to leave the Association that gave them a lifeline. So they've decided to leave the Juniors? Who cares? I don't think anyone in the Juniors does. So why do they care so much about what they're leaving? Scared they've made the wrong decision?0 -
Looks like you've been taking lessons from your mentor. Waffled on, said nothing and avoided the question. Well done you.You really don't need me to explain that. If you do then we don't need to pretend that you're stupid. But you're not, and you know fine well (as does everybody else) what I'm saying. Pretending not to just makes you look silly.0
