  1. That is massive news. It's definitely happening now. Talbot will have to follow.
    It's hardly 'massive'.
I believe that every club in the WRSJFA should declare a statement of interest.
    But that's all it is.
An interest to find out first hand from the LL what their intentions are.
There's nothing in Cumnock's announcement to indicate that they're going.
  2. honestly, what idiot would put it to his member clubs without getting proof from the LL, SFA of whatever league or association that option Z was backed.
ESPECIALLY when everyone knows that its not in any way worthwhile for the senior leagues to accept option Z
honestly, what idiot would put it to his member clubs without believing that the people in the meeting with him, including Ian McQueen, were genuine when they told him that the LL, SFA of whatever league or association that option Z was backed.
ESPECIALLY when everyone knows that its not in any way worthwhile for the senior leagues to accept option Z
  3. Because he is "hinging it oot" as long as he can to maximise his earnings and get as big a redundancy payout as he can. This has been obvious for quite a while now.
    And that's your answer?
He's 'hinging it oot' for a big payout.
    Big gamble there.
Surely he could be facing dismissal for gross misconduct in office by deliberately misleading his employers?
  4. I'm sorry to say but it sounds like a man sadly deluded or simply deliberately misleading people.
In the last two years of this "done deal" debate there have be no firm offers of any such 'assurances'.  No official communication other than a series of badly presented graphics cobbled together on Powerpoint, one of which included the ill-fated Option Z.  The SFA have got an in-house design team - look at the website and all the promo information that comes out on a daily basis.  If they were taking it seriously they'd have handed the copy and diagrams to a graduate to fancy it up for issue, with SFA logos and trendy straplines like "BE BRAVE" appended.  The options didn't look like they were official SFA docs at all.
How people were taken in by all this for so long is unfathomable.
    WOW.
So, I take it you mean that none of this came from the SFA or the PWG?
It's all a fabrication from TJ to mislead his clubs.
Completely made up by him alone.
    A work of fiction.
    Really?
  5. Did he aye?  Please share the email / letter / minute of these assurances.  If you can't we will all assume you just made it up in your own head.

Why would TJ ask the clubs to support an option that he knew had zero chance of being accepted?
Someone please explain that one to me.
Surely someone, somewhere give him the wrong information. He's been played and made to look foolish by passing on what he was assured was probably the best way forward for the SJFA. Was it the SFA? Was it there way of backing him into a corner with no way out? It was their options that had been put forward. Did they already know that none of them would get agreement?
Did the LL tell the SFA that they would support option Z, with the knowledge that they wouldn't?
  6. There's not a chance in hell the LL et al would've bluffed backing option z.

The west region is not in the pyramid solely down to the SJFA showing zero comprimise at any point. See how they refused to ever go with an option that'd see the west in only.
The reason that the WRSJFA backed Option Z was down to the fact that they had been assured by the SFA that it had the support of the LL. The EOSL weren't keen on it, but Petrie claimed he would push it through regardless.
  7. If David Baxter and Kenny MacLean are still pulling double duty as LL/EOS Secretary and fixture Secretary you can hopefully get both to do triple duty for a year. They would be the perfect people to guide the board in the requirements of senior football.
Then you vote in a board who can be set up to run things in a year. With the likes of Matt Bamford likely coming across he should be able to get enough support to be the inaugural President and has basic experience of fulfilling that role already.

    There you go.
    From your own fair hand.
  8. That isn't what he says in the post you quoted. He states 2 members of the PWG ie LL and EOS league have a crossover of officials. The rest of his post is clearly nonsense though.
    Nonsense?
    Of course it's nonsense.
Who would have thought that those nice guys in the LL and the EOSL could come up with something so machiavellian?
  9. Yes they did, last year it was an open goal as more than one contributor to here has stated.  The SJFA didn't want it. They still don't want it.
TAJ re-iterated that "all-in or none in" remained their stance (he forgot to add that into his "minutes"), which is clearly unworkable, and an illustration of the SJFA's refusal to compromise or consider alternatives.
I guess the LL had enough of listening to him over the years, as have his clubs.

Like I said, all lies and a smokescreen to cover up their scheme to destroy the SJFA.
2 members of the PWG that happen to have a crossover of officials running their organisation, made mugs out of Petrie and Maxwell and shafted the SJFA to satisfy their own ends.

  10. Does this mean that the LL & EOS had changed their opinion on the west region joining?
    Finally catching on.
Except that they never had any intention of letting the WRSJFA in. All lies and smokescreen to make them out to be the good guys.
Looks like TJ's last email to the clubs is not so ridiculous after all.
  11. I have on several occasions the full West juniors are moving and the sjfa will cease to exist and tj  will retire.
It's what needs to happen now.
That way the West can retain its history, heritage, and identity. It can move forward as one. It would allow it to retain all its competitions and invite others to become members. It may have to reinvent itself as a separate structure from the SJFA and depending on any other clubs showing an interest then it may have to go to conference leagues for it's first season. Sticking with the SJFA will only result in further fragmentation because more and more ERSJFA clubs will leave because of the roadblock that's been put in their way. Some WRSJFA clubs will also follow suit if there's somewhere to go, leaving the rest to wither and eventually die.

    What's more important?
Remaining together as one regional group of clubs and building on that, or sticking with a dying SJFA for the sake of 1 cup?
  12. As far as im aware neither were on the PWG. And serve very specific job roles. You're clearly exaggerating their influence on decision making.
I didn't say that they were on the PWG.
Someone else said that they were on 2 Associations involved in the Pyramid process.
You're clearly underplaying their potential influence on decision making.

No wonder we couldn't get a deal. 2 men serving 2 Associations.
  14. In my opinion, IF there were no official Minutes taken at the PWG meeting, the SFA/PWG should (instead) issue a public statement clarifying the outcome of the meeting, and at the same time, highlight any inaccuracies/misunderstandings in Tom Johnson's 'Minutes'.
So, what part or parts are inaccurate/misunderstood?
