Salim Kouider-Aïssa returns to Airdrie, end of loan. Scott McLean has contract cancelled for some reason.

Shown glimpses that there’s something there but being truthful he’s been a disappointment. Don’t think him and the manager see eye to eye, he’s turned up late for the team bus a couple of times resulting in him being dropped. Not sad to see him go.

Strange game. Not much between either team in the first half. Stenny probably edged. Dubious free kick for the first goal, if that was hand ball there were several more in the game afterwords that went unpunished. Second half was an all too familiar story away from home. Dominate up until the final third and then clueless. We battered Stenny the entire half bar a five minute spell were the should have went 3-1 up. Frustrated with the team selection, I like both Hilton and Walker however, neither are out and out forwards. Both more suited to playing either beside someone or in behind, yet we see them start with two forwards on the bench. The game was crying out for Duffy when we’re on the offensive, he’s the best finisher we have yet no sign. We seemed to lack an ideas other than swinging a leg at it from wide areas to get in to the box. Non of our attacking players had a chance against Higgins or Jamieson. Especially with the poor standard of cross. Forrest was wasted on the right and for me should have started in the middle and move Robbo in beside Girvan and Ross. Lack of sub keeper yesterday, not for the first time as well. Poor management from Hamill, we have a reserve team to supply us with cover. Apparently Hamill only phoned the reserve manager at 9am to see if there was a goalkeeper available. We’ve only known Scullion has a broken collar bone for the last weeks. Finally speedy recovery to Brennan, never nice to see.

We don’t keep well away from home. Scullion and Hackshaw both out long term and Sal away back to Airdrie with no replacements coming in we are a bit thin. Stenny win for me.

Good news for you guys is Stranraer have really struggled to turn up away from home this season. Considering not turning up either given the admission price, no cash turnstiles are ball ache too. Weather been stinking, don’t want to commit to a ticket online then the game get postponed and can’t make the rearranges fixture.

For a 3-2 game there wasn’t a great deal of excitement. Stranraer edged it first half and felt Stenny had the second half. Didn’t see much wrong with the tackle from Girvan. He’s in control and wins the ball, I’m looking forward to a second look. Really is taking something away from the game if your not allowed to tackle. Referee didn’t have a great game, strange that he reached in to both pockets before showing the red card. Looked like he was influenced by the Stenny players around him. Maybe it’s now a case of our reputation preceding us, our discipline record is horrendous this season yet, I don’t think we’re a dirty or physical side.

I believe it’s not feasible for part time clubs to opt for insurance that covers operations.

Thought at the time the first yellow was harsh, hard but fair challenge. Like many of Forrest’s tackles are. Had a decent view of it from the main stand. In the highlights it looks like the referee couldn’t be happier to give the second yellow, he had a huge grin on his face. Referee poor for both teams. Very much all about him.

Stranraer have not lost a league game at Stair Park since the opening of the Maybole bypass. Well done to all involved.

Firstly, feel for any Dumbarton fan that made the journey. Never a good way to lose a game but that’s a real sickener. From a Stranraer perspective what a difference a few days make. Unrecognisable from the team that was on the pitch at the Forthbank. Felt we were worthy winners and unlucky not to be a couple up at half time, with Hilton missing a couple of good chances and Woods missing one. Scored two decent goals and thought it was just a case of seeing the game out. Always felt Dumbarton were a threat at set pieces and sure enough it was set piece that got them back in the game. A moment of madness from our young keeper ended up in Dylan Forrest having to commit a foul for the Dumbarton keeper and it was very much a thought of here we go again but, credit to our players. Heads didn’t go down at 2-2 and managed to get what we deserved from the game. Pass marks for all in blue, Hilton grew in confidence after the goal, Hackshaw played one of his best games for us, Matty Grant one of the best on the pitch once again. Even O’Connor after his howler, still coming collecting crosses. Anyone that’s only watched us at home this season will be baffled as to how we’ve been beaten so easily away from home.

I expected a reaction at Stirling on Saturday after the way we lost at Stenhousemuir. I don’t see anything other than an easy away win.

From the first few minutes it was evident Stirling we’re going to score a few goals. We are lucky it wasn’t more. At no point today did I feel we were in the game or saw anything to excite me. At least when we were hammered last time out we played a bit of football. Can take defeat when we compete but we were a million miles off it today. Strange choices when it came to the team selection once again. Woods, a winger at right back, Robertson who’s played over 100 games at right back in centre mid and Hackshaw a centre mid playing wide. Woods wasted playing at right back. Simple to start Roberson right back, Woods and Hilton wide and put Hackshaw in the middle. It’s the second game in a row we’ve had a right back available but chosen to play someone out of position there.

If we fail to get anything tomorrow The club need to seriously consider the management teams future. 1 win in 11 competitive games this season. Gave a bit of leeway last season but we don’t seem to have learned anything from then. The reluctance to play our better players when needed, in Robbo and Duffy is killing us. Who cares if they don’t want to play. You play your strongest players. If Robbo and Duffy don’t want to play then don’t sign them. Their contribution as coaches doesn’t seem to be having any great affect though either. Recruitment has been poor, this season and last. We’re still conceding ridiculous goals, we’re still not strong enough in the final third, we’re still out muscled by more physical teams. As a captain Hamill wasn’t up to much, seems even less as a manager. Sad when you hear the names that didn’t even get an interview when he was appointed.

Think this one is similar to the first home game of the season, in that all the attention is on the away team and their form. We are underdogs going in to this, hopefully suits us the same way it did against Annan. Seen enough in the last two games to suggest we can compete. A good team performance in the first game and decent in spells in the second. Still lacking a forward. Duffy needs told he’s part of the squad until we sign someone better. Use the best squad available instead of pandering to his crap. Don’t see the team changing too much, wouldn’t mind seeing Matty Grant start after his showing at Forfar.

Forfar worthy of their win. Just didn’t seem to click for Stranraer today. Thought we’d done the hard part by getting to half time at 0-0 against a strong wind. Forfar only having one real good chance, really should have scored, a great save from Scullion stopping them. Second half Forfar looked a lot better and started to play the ball a bit more. Couple of half chances for Stranraer but think our only shot that tested McCallum was the penalty. One positive from the game was Matty Grant when he came on. Looked like he had a bit about him.

Watched the boy against Talbot at the back end of last season. Was a stand out for Pollok. Good luck Matty.
