  1. God knows how you do it. I’d of had the footage straight in the bin. keep up the good work.
  2. New two year contract announced for the manager. Find the timing bizarre, Faz could well take us up but we could also end up out with the playoffs. Not sure why things had to be rushed through? Would it not be better to wait and see how the season pans out? Surely the aim was for promotion, fail to obtain that then the manager has a relegation, the lowest win percentage of recent managers and the possibility of equaling our lowest finish since the restructure of the leagues to his name. Hopefully that's not a worry and in the next few weeks we are talking about how well we've finished the season.
  3. Sore one tonight but it happens in football. Sometimes things just don’t click. Hopefully thats out of the system and we kick on. Well done Elgin, far sharper and wanted it more. Concerned to hear Yates left Stair Park in a moon boot. Thuggish from Wilson, who was fortunate only to receive a yellow. Would like to see the Paton penalty claim again. Had a good view at the time and though it would’ve been a harsh decision. Intriguing run in. Plenty of nails to be bitten between now and next week.
  4. Not sure about this season. We had a couple of boys on £40 a week last year. Think the manager is about £400 a week.
  5. Looking forward to this one we’ve not been great of late but, we do have capable players. Tuesdays win was much needed and keeps the playoffs in touching distance however, if we’ve ambitions of playoffs we can not afford to lose this one. Not to sure of the team given the short rest period.
  6. In a recent interview the manager mentioned how much a stats man he is. Can you pease concentrate on the stats above and rectify them. Gutless today. Wouldn’t have known we are fighting for a play off place.
  7. A lot of the Queens Park players are now amateur in what used to be their profession, spend time to free electrical and plumbing work when they’re not training or playing games with the club.
  8. What’s the thoughts on form at the minute? One win in four league games. Not really play off form. Looking the other way Stenny have a great chance to catch us if we slip again and get themselves to the right end of the split. Going forward I think things are only going to get tougher as the fixtures come thick and fast. When the return was announced I expected us to be better placed than we are at the minute. After dropping points at Cowdenbeath I felt we needed to take at least 7 from our next three league games, unfortunately we’ve failed at the first hurdle. We can sit and say, we’re creating chances or we deserved more etc but, look what that brought us last season. I’d sooner create one chance a game, win 1-0 every week and be sitting in the play offs rather than the position we are in now. Squad rotation has been used as an excuse but, not one that can be given by the manager. Every other club strengthened in the last few months while we stuck with what we’ve got. That’s fine if your happy and feel what’s out there isn’t any more positive than what you’ve got but, a quick look at some of the names that moved on loan and most would think different. As much as nothing is possible yet, playoffs surely has to be a minimum requirement for the season. Fear it’s slipping away rather quickly.
  9. Confirmed Hibs game to be n BBC. Six games to be played between now and the Tuesday the 20th. Hopefully win our next three and secure a play off place before the last couple of games. Big ask though.
  10. A real shame the town and club won’t benefit from this tie the way they normally would. Good tie all the same but a side show to our league campaign. Play offs a must. Cup run is nice.
  11. As Clayhole Blue says four huge games for us. Games quickly running out so every point a prisoner. Think seven points from the next three games would be a great return. Expect a few changes tonight. Would like to see Hilton and Yates come in. Both direct and see to offer a bit more spark going forward.
  12. Unfortunately no complaints about the result. We weren’t at it. first half we were very passive, seemed to just want to hit long balls in behind. These failed time after time. If that was the tactic then don’t think Duffy is the answer. First goal was poor, one Stranraer defender left with two Queens Park players. Good looping header but, disappointed to see Fleming lobbed again. Second goal was a great delivery, Queens Park players were lining up to knock it in. Very hard to defend a ball like that. Second half we tried to play a bit more but seemed to be any time we upped the pace Queens Park did the same. Think the most pressure Muir was under was brought on himself or by his own defenders. Knew it would be a hard ask today but thought we might have been a bit more competitive. Tough ask after going so long without football so not too disheartened. Credit to Queens Park. Well worthy of their win.
  13. Hopefully a good time to get Queens Park given the lack of competitive action for both teams. Didn’t think there was a great deal between the two teams in our first meeting, that said the wind maybe played its part. Don’t think we can afford to start the way we did against Kelty and let the opponents decorate the play. Three points for the blues and there might just be a title race on.
  14. Great addition. Full of energy, can tackle, pass and will adds goals. Always follow the progress of players of that have done Stranraer a good turn, Kyle being one of them. Very surprised to see him loaned out. Seemed to be playing enough and certainly performing well enough. Possible that Kyle is looking to move on in the summer and Crawford has taken the pet?
  15. Stephen Farrell been linked at all? Word was Ayr were interested last time round. Last season probably didn't help him much.
  16. Chance of our Scottish cup tie being televised should Hearts progress? Premier Sports have surprisingly jumped in and taken the Old Firm games for a change. BBC not announced their pick yet so presumably waiting to see who progresses from round 2.
  17. Brechin fans are worried they won't be able to wash the strips on time to fulfill fixtures so maybe they could be replaced by Celtic or Rangers Colts for the rest of the season as a trial. Old Firm Colts can play a televised play-off with the winner getting the sought after spot.
  18. Not wholly, no, but the vibes from Brechin fans on here are that they don't wish for football to start again. Is that in the hoped they are saved once again? Not really trying to be controversial to be honest. Having seen the work clubs have done to get games going, a longing to watch Stranraer again be it on a stream, over a wall or in the ground, it's crap reading football fans coming up with reasons not to get playing again. Seen money used as an excuse, clubs were furnished with grants from the government, a gift from James Anderson and were able to furlough players and staff. With no training facilities to pay for, stadiums out of use surely outgoings can't haven't been all the great?
  19. Understand that logistics could be a pain and part time players or volunteers getting getting to as many mid week games could be tough. Kits not so much, surely just alternate between home and away as much as possible.
  20. They can't just keep sparing Brechin every season.
  21. For me this is the best of our orange kits. Was a real bright number, think we've had three to date. Two seasons with ICIS, from what I remember they were pretty well made.
