  1. Hopefully a full season a full season with us will bring out the best in him. Showed us in glimpses what he can do. Quite a few offensive players now in Joao, Hilton, Elliot, Duffy, Orr and Paton. Wouldn’t mind seeing Andy Stirling to that list. Didn’t do much last season, but who did? We all know what he can do.
  2. Fingers crossed I’m proven wrong. More than happy to construct something more positive if it’s warranted. If you have the time scroll through P&B and you’ll see I have been complementary of Jamie Hamill at times. As I said if Duffy can get on the end of these balls he’ll be fine. To me that’s a positive. If he can’t get on the end of them, that would be negative.
  3. Lewis McIntyre has signed with the first team.
  4. If he can work with 40 yard aimless punts up the field from Jamie Hamill he’ll do just fine.
  5. Faz said he has an experienced keeper coming in but, furlough is holding it up. Not sure if furlough is affecting the admin side or possibly the player coming in is currently furloughed from a full time club.
  6. Thomas Orr signs from BSC Glasgow / Alloa. Seemed to be flying last season. Hopefully continue in to this season.
  7. Know very little about the two new boys Discounted to see Hamill return but not one bit surprised. A fit Grant Gallagher should be fine, if we see that or not is a different story. Suicide from the club if this is not a pay as you play deal. To be honest I wouldn’t be sad if nobody else from last season resigned. Yes, there are guys like Robertson, Hilton and Stirling who should all be capable of doing a job but, so should everyone last season and we only registered two league wins. Did show great signs of getting anymore either. Lewis McIntyre and Scott Phillips from the reserves have been invited to pre season training.
  8. Jordan Allan has signed for Darvel. Dale Burgess to Beith.
  9. Think Stirling Albion are donating the money they’ve raised.
  10. It’s a pre contract. Don’t think there will be anything done until there’s a start date agreed. Full time wages for part time football apparently. Great keeper, deserves his move.
  11. Give it a few weeks and part time will be needed when they propose introducing colt teams again.
  12. I thought Darvel were ambitious. They’ll be glad there’s no District league to get relegated to now.
  13. Don’t think Thomson ever got to the level he showed against us when he was a Dunfermline player. Some good games but not a player I was too excited about. I know a lot of others really like him though.
  14. Stranraer can’t afford to appeal a red card never mind mount something as big as this. Count us out.
  15. Just shy of a quarter of a million. This was paid into the clubs Paypal account where it sat until the weekend but is no longer there. Faz asked all the players to use the popular Houseparty app so they could all do star jumps together. He used the club email address to register which is the same address linked to the Paypal account. A breach of Housepartys security saw the club and many others fall victim to a data breach which has lead to a number of users being left out of pocket. All we have left from that night at Ibrox is our memories. Grant Gallagher did not take part in the star jump session.
  16. I’ve never once heard an official of the club slating people or businesses. Would be extremely stupid to do so. We depend on them.
  17. Vogue now for clubs to be fan owned. Nobody ever looks at Stranraer FC. We were fan owned long before it became fashionable.
  18. 1) 38 - Got Cove, Edinburgh, Hearts and Dundee United to do. 2) 34 - I think, Stranraer had a spell in the 2000’s bouncing about from 3rd division to 1st and back down. Was great for ticking grounds off. Missed us play Aberdeen away, although have visited for Scotland games. We haven’t played at St Mirrens new ground yet. Not played Celtic away in my time following Stranraer nor have we been away to Kilmarnock. 3) Stair Park bound to be the first although I can’t remember it. First away ground would be the Forthbank. 4) Stair Park for our home game against Montrose. Last away ground was Ibrox. Been a really a pour effort on my part when it comes to away games this season. 5) Tricky one. Used to enjoy all the Angus grounds with Arbroath being the favourite but got sick of the lot of them. Would maybe opt for Easter Road. Good memories of Stranraer winning there. This was prior to a lot of the works have returned since and just something about the place I like, hard to put my finger on it though. 6) Airdrie - We have and awful record there, the ground is soulless, the fans that sit at the segregation end are endless, pies are overpriced.
  19. Stranraer players and officials have started an Onlyfans page with all proceeds going to the club.
  20. If you believe what is spoken in Stranraer the Rangers money was being held for next years budget. If this is true hopefully it’s a reserve to help keep us afloat. We have a squad of 19, 12 weeks left of the season including play off dates. Say every player is on £200 a week. I understand some are over that some are under, that’s £45600 in wages. The money made would cover that, we still have the manager and coaching staff to account for and the failed corporate days. Think we may be ok for a few months but not every club has had the luxury of a good cup draw. If we went on our gates we’d be screwed. Praying every club gets through this.
  21. Tonight may of been our last chance to have our fate in our hands and we couldn’t even register a shot on target. No hard luck stories. Just not good enough.
  22. Well when I make it to the committee the first thing I’ll be doing is bringing back the Blue Bombshells. The crowds will soar! You mark my words!
  23. Would say so. No plan of a pitch inspection as far as I know. Dry here at the minute too.
