  1. What ever happens Stranraer will fail. All down to bad luck according to o ur supporters.
  2. What ever way you paint it, our record is horrendous this season, will now take something miraculous for us to stay up. Our position doesn't come as a surprise. The manager made it very clear at last seasons end of season do how difficult it will be for a few seasons yet given the financial constraints. Posted my reservations on here at the start of this campaign about the squad and my opinion hasn't changed much. I can't see what changing the manager at this stage would do. If we were going to get rid it had to be done before January to give us a fighting chance. With a poor budget and relegation looming would we be much of an attraction to any managers out there?
  3. To add insult to injury should we make the play offs, I think we have a worse record than anyone else.
  4. We’ve not lost in five games. Only other two teams to do this at the minute are Raith and Falkirk. Problem is we can’t buy a win. Think 9th is our best chance of survival, even that is a huge ask. Not very imaginative but I’d say it will finish as it is.
  5. It's brought up every year at our AGM. I don't know why the committee keep allowing the management to turn the wind machine on. Sorry to hear losing your virginity wasn't such a good experience.
  6. Haha cheers. Edited now. Probably a telling sign of the impact he had.
  7. Few questions before I visit. Is there free parking at the ground or close by? Can spectators swap ends at half time? Do Rangers do a match day programmes? Do you have a snack bar? If so does it cater for for lactose intolerant vegans?
  8. Don’t think you’ll be seeing him anywhere near your first team. Wasn’t awful but didn’t really excite either. His one goal was a decent free kick. Spent part of his time with us out injured.
  9. Rumour in Stranraer today was you guys signing Max Currie from us with a young centre back coming our way on loan until the end of the season as part of the deal.
  10. Stevenson is good friends with our captain and the assistant manager. That’s probably helped bring the move. Although if that’s the way we operate there not much point in having Stuart Wild as chief scout. If Stevenson has been brought in as an additional coach we’ll end up having as many coaches as players.
  11. Any word on when we’ll see Grant Gallagher again? Heard he was offered a package a few months but rejected.
  12. Denny Johnstone has joined on loan until the end of the season.
  13. Lot of positives from the Dumbarton game by the sounds of things. Few more players available to the manager this weekend, sounds like Denny Johnston will be with us, Ryan Stevenson coming in and Hamill, Thomson and Robertson all set to return. Fingers crossed can kick on and close the gap on Forfar.
  14. Ian Smith has left Stranraer. Going Junior, not sure where though. Mark Stewart out as well. Left a couple of weeks ago due to work commitments.
  15. I must say I do like the was Faz comes across but unfortunately that’s not transpired on to the park. Hands have been tied with lack of budget as mentioned but the manager has made a few questionable signings, as most managers do but that’s really blighted us given how small a squad we’ve got. Haven’t got a clue how this one will pan out. Not to state the obvious but really need three points though.
  16. From the clubs Facebook; Due to injuries SFC south management was approached for a player for the bench on Friday night South management got back and said Lewis McIntyre was available. Early hours Saturday Ian Smith phoned manager sick. Again South management were approached as Scott Robertson was also touch and go to pass a fitness test. Unfortunately the South team had already left for their pre- arranged day out in Glasgow, so no one else was available. Gary and Alan volunteered if Robbo failed fitness test to take places on the bench as an emergency as both are signed alongside Chris. There was absolutely no recriminations against the South team who were unavailable due to the above stated reasons, they couldnt be in two places at once and it was extremely late notice for everyone. So Chris Aitken now age 38 and retired in 2016 was on our bench on Saturday. Gary McCutcheon age 41, retired 2015 ( still playing some games in the south of Scotland league ) was available for selection. Alan Jenkins, age 38, played a handful of Lowland League games but struggling with injuries also available for selection. Add the twice already retired Ryan Stevenson to our squad and we’ve got a decent over 35’s team.
  17. Another really inspiring signing to add to the list of help the aged we’ve already signed.
  18. We’re good enough going forward but get to the final third and we’ve nothing to offer. Other games we play and it’s just lump the ball from front to back. Silly errors at the back are costing us weekly. Really like the way Faz speaks but don’t think his recruitment has been good enough. We’ve not had a forward since Malcolm or Longworth. Anything other than three points on Saturday and the managers position needs to be questioned.
