Think what Wigtown need to do is get a youth team on the go or a Sunday team. Something they can feed off when it comes to trying to get back in to the league. Use these players and accept they might not be challenging for the first few years. Keith Knox used quite a few of the under 17s when he first took over down there.

Don't know what the managers plans are as in Scott Robertson I'd say we have one of the best right backs in the league. Robbo is very versatile but looks most assured at RB. Have heard Hamill is the same. I will not disclose such information.

I'd imagine any Stranraer players are more likely to play with the under 20's unless there's a change in rules. Last season overage players were allowed. Think it would be more logistical reasons for them playing with the 20's rather than the south team as the majority of first team players are more central belt based. The club haven't really mentioned their plans with the South team, what age they plan to run with, management team etc. At a guess I think Alan Jenkins will be quite active with them given he's turned down a new deal at Ballymena and is current head of youth.

Faz stays in Ayrshire so probably only another thirty minutes travelling time. I don't know how appealing the money would be to him as I believe he's in a good job with the prison service. He wasn't a name that sprung to mind when thinking of replacements for Reid, but now that he's been mentioned I think he'd be a good choice. Wouldn't panic too much at the minute as he was uninterested last time round so maybe quite happy being number two.

Why not go the other way and have less full time teams? Countries like Ireland have far less full time clubs than we do, but seem to compete better at international level. Granted they don't have many internationalists from their own league but, these players must of been part of some kind of system in their own country before moving on. Is it more about filling peoples pockets? If Stranraer were playing Sunday league I'd still support them but playing merged with another team things may be a bit different.
