  1. NOT a dead rubber for the Dale though. The chat on this thread has been about the likelihood of 3 teams getting promoted if Tranent fail to win the Lowland League spot. Armadale had it in their own hands yet again to get ahead of Bo'ness going into the final game to take that chance if it happens.
  2. What happened? Look on the WoSL forum. There are still crucial league games going on to determine relegation. One of them was tonight where Glenafton needed 3 points against an already relegated Blantyre. Looks like Blantyre only turned up with 7 or 8 players and were down to 6 players by HT when the game was abandoned. Glenafton pick up the 3 pts they need which could knock another team into the relegation zone. Amateur stuff.
  3. Good news for the 3rd placed team. Elsewhere on the forum it's been said there are no new applicants for the EoS Leagues so it leaves a rump of just 8 clubs in the bottom division. Is an 8 team league even sustainable?
  4. Not too shabby predictions here. Missed Penicuik in the table topping predictions but got the other 3 out of 4. Penicuik got off to a flyer and it turned out to be the real deal all season. Bottom end of the table called Dunbar & Whitehill but 3 others of your picks were also sweating out the final Saturday and LTHV still sitting with crossed fingers and toes. Spot on saying Camelon's season could go either way too. Equal top with 3 out of 3 at the start and then only pick up 11 points in the remaining 31 games. Newtongrange have been a tough one to call. Certainly had a poor start but never hit a purple patch like Hill of Beath or Blackburn to get out of the relegation spots.
  5. Big news for the top of the table. Fauldhouse Utd played an ineligible player in their win over Armadale start of April. Result overturned and puts Armadale Th in with a shout having both Whitburn and Bo'ness Ath to play
  6. Going in to the final Saturday of the season 6 of the 9 fixtures have something at stake. 2 fixtures to determine the league winners and 4 fixtures to finalise the 4th and potential 5th relegation spots. It's been some league! Anyone else missing the @HibeeJibee weekly summary at this key point of the season?
  7. Interesting one from Fauldhouse Utd just posted applying for planning permission for floodlights https://www.fauldhouseunited.co.uk/floodlights-planning-permission-submission/?fbclid=IwAR2Icr39MIpaxuX50ECBoUUx3XWx4vOfJiF9xAa0C3R0uIk8MYFISnnpTIA#
  8. I think LTHV home matches at Ainslie Park have regularly been 3pm kick offs
  9. A drew would relegate Dunbar but Tynecastle could lose and stay up IF both Blackburn and HoB lose by margins wide enough to have a worse GD than Tynecastle AND LTHV win by a margin big enough to better Tynecastle's gd All unlikely but up to 4 teams can finish on 41 points
  10. I think It's possible for any of Blackburn, HoB, Tynecastle, Dunbar or LTHV to finish in the automatic relegation position
  11. Linlithgow Rose 2-4 Blackburn United Astonishing fightback from Blackburn. Linlithgow were 2 up and cruising at half time but Blackburn pulled one back straight after half time and Linlithgow were rattled. After that it was all effort, determination and a decent bit of football from Blackburn to win it. Opens up an escape route for Blackburn at the bottom, they now have to take that chance.
  12. Must have had the boy in a head lock so he couldn't move for 90 minutes [emoji23]
  13. Blackburn supporter here but certainly have a soft spot for Dunbar. Partly just enjoying the trip to East Lothian and partly the fact Dunbar and Blackburn have been neck and neck for the past 6 seasons Blackburn have notched up 2 of their 3 clean sheets in the league just within the past month, they haven't come easily! Not expecting a goal feast but happy to be proved wrong
  14. Maybe 6 regulars out due to work commitments, injuries and suspensions on Saturday. Just looking at the 3 games you mention, Blackburn fielded 21 different players. A lot of that is down to injuries but I guess it means too that there isn't a clear and obvious starting XI. On the other hand it means too that Blackburn aren't reliant on one player and there some depth to the squad. Top half might be pushing it imo but they have it in their own hands to be able to stay up.
  15. Got to say, as a Blackburn supporter, that was a fine Linlithgow performance yesterday. Thought Blackburn were in for a doing but showed a lot of heart just to stay on their feet after waves of Linlithgow attacks. It gave Blackburn a puncher's chance which they very nearly took but for a brilliant bit of forward interplay for the winner. Mind you I'd like to see that shout for handball deep into added time again .....
  16. Hoofball? Aye right Pep Blackburn played with one striker, not a giant either. Both Blackburn wingers played well. Decent game, Blackburn should have had a penalty at 2-1 up which could have settled the result but a point is not the worst result when you are playing Barca
  17. Absolutely and why on earth would they waste so much political capital for so little gain?
  18. Good point but takes us further through the Looking Glass. On what basis are the SFA CURRENTLY administering disciplinary offences in regard to these games?
  19. Why don't the LL stick 2 fingers up to the SFA? The OF Colts in the LL is a mistake but they joined on the understanding they would not be promoted. So just revert to existing rules, wipe out the existing results and play all the remaining scheduled fixtures as "friendlies". Everyone happy? (bar the SFA an Brechin )
  20. Fauldhouse United unable to raise a team for this weekend's Challenge Cup match at Preston Athletic. The FB post says "postponed"
  21. The questions were about East League so the University teams would have known that Airdrie was WOSL territory
  22. Don't take this as gospel but I heard someone on the committee passed away suddenly and it's cancelled as a mark of respect.
  23. Bathgate community club tweeting that 8 of their players who now play under Fauldhouse u20 banner, are in the squad for the fauldhouse Junior Cup match today
  24. According to the fans pages on FB sounds like the club is in some disarray with talk of some players away and wholesale changes in committee.
  25. Armadale Thistle have withdrawn from the Junior Cup according to their Doon the Volly FB page https://www.facebook.com/1624028194504178/posts/3076611642579152/
