  1. I've had 4 or 5 and only one was really unpleasant. The lumbar puncture was worse. Didn't feel a thing but just the thought of what was going on really freaked me out. Particularly after they told me they had to inject prophelactic chemo into your spinal column to balance the fluid levels or your equilibrium will be all messed up. Freaky stuff. Have to say the staff at Vancouver General were amazing and quite honestly I was relieved it happened over here and not back home.
  2. I was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myleiod Luekemia) on April 30th of this year (I was 36 yrs old). I had been feeling fatigued and out of breath for a number of weeks and kept getting fobbed off with prescriptions. The final straw came when I had to sit on the kitchen floor to catch my breath half way through a sink of dishes while I was caring for my two sons of 4 and 2 at the time. I demanded to see someone and got my blood taken. Within 18 hrs I was on a private jet to Vancouver. I might not have seen that weekend out if I hadn't done what I did. It's such a gradual decline, I was still driving and going to work. I may as well have been pissed at the wheel the state I was in. Should never have been on the road. I got very lucky with my prognosis and I was treated for 7 months in Vancouver. Only chemo, no bone marrow transplant necessary. I am currently in remission and have been monitored for the last few months. Get a bone marrow biopsy in February next year and if I don't relapse in the first 2 years, chances are I'll be good. Worst thing was being alone in Vancouver during chemo and not getting to see my kids. There is a lot to be said for taking your health care into your own hands. Don't let anyone fob you off If you think something is wrong. Doctor's are like any other profession. It's the luck of the draw. #FuckCancer
  3. Yes, That's exactly what it was telling me. Obviously sounds ridiculous but when you see the numbers right there in your wallet and it's verified on CMC your mind does play tricks.
  4. Yeah that much is obvious now but for a little while there I was a complete wreck. Fumbling over my trust wallet trying to press buttons and my hands wouldn't work
  5. Did anyone else experience that crazy anomaly with Baby Doge yesterday? I have 16,000,000,000 and at one point coin market cap had them trading at upwards of $2 dollars. I couldn't switch any of them to a less volatile currency on the exchanges and if you go back today all the exchanges are showing a flat line and no change, where yesterday there was a massive spike between around 11:30am and 2pm.
  6. Greenie. She is a despicable c**t for sure but it would be remiss of me if I didn't say I'd be in aboot it like a tramp eating chips. I bet she's a right fucking goer. Many a guid tune played oan an aul' fiddle
  7. What a night for Scottish Football if it stays like this.
  8. Watching this on dazn so not sure who's responsible for the broadcasting. Wtf is with this commentator? How many times is he going to get the names of the players wrong? Woeful perfomance. 'Let's not let the art of tackling die' weirdo.
  9. One week before I moved to Canada I bumped every one of these parasites. Not one pang of guilt.
  10. Creaming a drive over the crest of a hill dead fucking centre on the fairway and losing the ball.
  11. This is very simple people. A woman shouldn't be forced to carry a child she doesn't want anymore than I should be obstructed from having piles surgically removed from my arse. It's a procedure, it's a choice. A CHOICE. Anyone who wants to argue about the preservation of life only has two possible stances. Religious dogma or an engrained patriacharcal attitude towards women. They both amount to the same thing as far as I'm concerned. Women have been subjugated for long enough under the name of a man made god. Anyone who disagrees with this quote can take it up with me on the other side. Spoiler alert. I won't be there and neither will you.
  12. What's the difference between Meghan Markle and Madeleine McCaan? Madeleine was given away by her father...
  13. Just fix the poll and f**k off you trumpet. You have started a thread with potential. Don't ruin it by contributing anything more.
  14. A 14yr old kid was shot at it in Michigan after knocking on a door to ask for directions to school. He apparently missed the bus. Guess what colour he was? I'll give you a clue, he was black. Initial reports suggest a guy took a potshot at him when his wife freaked out after being confronted by a black male at the door (perish the thought!). What a fucking country.
  15. Started a career with Man City and almost through the first season. Punted Kompany and Delph and brought in Chiellini . Proved to be a great piece of business as Kompany has hardly kicked a ball for Barcelona due to injuries and Chiellini came in and took the armband. Jose Luis Gaya was signed from Valencia at left back (Mendy is out for a few months at the start of the season and can't get near the starting 11 thanks to this guy) and is a stick on for young player of the year. 14 wins and a draw from the first 15 games. Skelping Man Utd, Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool and drawing with Arsenal. Got through the Champions league group finishing second to Monaco on the final day but a defeat in the league at West Brom was quickly followed by a draw at Soton and another two defeats at Everton and Burnley. This saw me go from 7 points clear to 6 points behind Man Utd and 2 behind Arsenal. Pumped out the FA cup by leeds away from home during this terrible run of form. Got Paulinho from Barca in January with Gundogan going the other way (just never really performed on a consistent basis). Paulinho came in as a BWM and has been a revelation. Also picked up El Sharaawy to give me more versatility on the wing. He's nowhere near the standard of Bernardo Silva or Sane but is a good impact sub. 4 points behind Man Utd with 8 games to go and beaten 1-0 by 10 men at Old Trafford. Playing a defensive game and was bossing it until Pogba was sent off for persistent fouling. I could smell blood and went balls out for the last half hour but in typical Mourinho style they parked the bus and I couldn't break them down. They got the winner thanks to an 87th minute stramash in the box which Hererra of all people pounced on. Look to have blown the league now but just overturned a 1-0 defeat at the Nou Camp in the second leg of the CL to draw Real Madrid in the semis. They are sitting 4th in La liga so high hopes of a final with a possible revenge on Man Utd if they get by Sporting. Won the Carabao (sp??) cup defeating Arsenal on penalties in the final. Have been enjoying a public spat with Arsene Wenger all season so this was particularly pleasing. Bernardo Silva, Sane and Aguero have been phenomenal. Gabriel Jesus has been decent when called on but if Aguero is ruled out for any length of time I'll be up shit creek. Playing a 4-2-1-2-1 with Sane on the left as a supporting winger and Bernardo on the right as an inside forward. De Bruyne is beside either Fernandinho or Paulinho in the centre with David Silva in the hole. A back 4 of Gaya, Chiellini, Otamendi and Walker. Attacking full backs with ball playing defenders. Any tips for how to do set piece scenarios? It's the only area of training I have completely neglected and I feel if I had addressed it at the start of the season it might have been worth a few extra points.
  16. I'm highly encouraged by the league table as it stands. I don't expect us to beat Celtic in the remaining games but the fact is it's not inconceivable that we could win it this year. That's more than I could have hoped for at the start of the season. I fear you are correct though, Celtic didn't really stand on our throat when we were down and out but the reality is they can afford to let us get close and then push away considerably any time they like. As far as the original argument goes, I believe there is something in between the two stances, maybe it's romanticism on my part but look at Leicester. Remember Burley at Hearts before Vlad went off the reservation? What would Utd look like if they still had Gauld, GMS, Armstrong and the like? It wouldn't take a miracle to break the trend. All it takes is a good manager who is not scared to lose heavily in pursuit of the big victories, who believes in his team and the way they play, a bit of luck in the transfer market coupled with a core group of players who kick on at the right time and a Chairman with a pair of balls big enough to stave off the inevitable January bids if it looks like his team could actually do something. Speaking as a Rangers fan I'd be delighted for the game if someone outwith the Old Firm won the league (provided it wasn't Aberdeen).
  17. Celtic have made their money from consistently qualifying for Europe's top competition. Rangers have had no impact, for better or worse, on Celtics finances since they returned to the top tier. Even if Rangers win the league for the next 3 years in a row but fail to qualify for the Champions league, we won't have closed the financial gap. You are talking pish.
  18. Think I've posted this 3 times in the last 12 months. We need a new 'children being indiscriminately shot' cartoon.
