Hardly anyone in this league has money. Kerr was fairly well backed in the summer given the circumstances we find ourselves in and we had a more ambitious transfer window than most teams in this league. As for “only lost one league game” and “topped our league cup group” - we’ve also only won one more than we’ve lost and we had the lowest points total of any side to qualify from the group stages (including the second placed sides) despite being in a group with Hamilton and 3 League 2 sides. Add to that performances have largely ranged from uninspiring to just pure shite, apart from 80 minutes against Morton where we still ended up shitting the bed anyway. It isn’t “time to go” but it isn’t looking good by any stretch either. I’m saying this as someone who stood up for Kerr a lot last season.

Gallagher’s yellow was a joke. This ref looks like he’s booking someone any time they jump with an arm up. I’d been previously critical of McGregor but he’s proven the right choice over McLean for this game - he’s been very mobile.

I’m aware of what the favoured midfield 3 is likely to be. My point is that if we’re very light in that midfield as we only have 4 players for 3 positions, unless you start dropping Armstrong back or moving McTominay forward, so I don’t think it’s outwith the realism of possibility that it happens at some point over the 3 games.

We look quite light in centre midfield. Just trying to pick a team and we only have 4 - Jack, McLean, McGregor and McGinn - for the 3 positions, assuming McTominay plays in defence and Armstrong is deployed further forward. Makes me think there’s a chance McTominay will be back in midfield as we’ve hunners or centre halves in the squad.
