  1. Are you advocating the club forking out a transfer for Alan Trouten? For f**k’s sake.
  2. Not taking away from how much he’s achieved this season and last, but the amount of injuries we’ve had under McCall still baffles me a bit.
  3. But that is clearly known well in advance by the operators. Surely it would be sensible to either A. Have some sort of plan in place for such times that would allow services to run as normal, or B. Be honest and give passengers plenty of warning that services will be severely disrupted on X dates while training is in progress. From the outside looking in it’s as if they just wait right until the moment shit hits the fan before they start cancelling services left, right and centre.
  4. It’s almost as if they’ve planned to bring in all these new trains, but only realised right at the last minute as they’re being implemented “oh f**k, we need to retrain all these c***s to drive these things”. I struggle to think of any other industry so routinely affected from a lack of basic planning. Complete and utter charlatans.
  5. Wut. He maybe hasn’t been great his past few sub appearances but he scored a goal every 90 minutes last season and has only started 4 games this season. He’s no Shankland but you’re being incredibly harsh.
  6. Think people are getting a bit too defensive over what Wattoo is saying. There’s been several injuries the past few seasons where we keep getting told every week that certain players are close to returning in the next week or two, only for it to carry on for months at a time. Can understand if McCall doesn’t want to give much away, but it’s just a bit frustrating as fans. Pointing that out isn’t taking away from how much we’ve exceeded expectations this season so far. If Kerr and Forrest are our for any length of time and we want to keep up the pace in the same way as we did in the first half of the season, then we really could do with both a midfielder who can control the game and a winger. Murdoch is quality and I’m a fan of Robbie but it’s quite clear we still miss Kerr pulling the strings, and while McGuffie has the potential and can be excellent in flashes I haven’t seen enough to suggest he’s ready to be consistent enough at this level yet.
  7. Do what that ICT (I think) poster did a while back with someone else - put it in your signature in white writing and watch them lose their shit.
  8. I’m not really feeling the need for another centre back (unless it’s a replacement for Ferguson if he leaves). We’ve the second best defence in the league. Given we’re unlikely to be making many (if any) signings, I’d say a winger and/or someone creative in the middle of the park are much more important positions to be looking at.
  9. Given some of his remarks, Gerrard doesn’t seem to hold much of Scottish football in a particularly high regard. Would be pretty surprised if Rangers went for it. As for signings, if Kerr and Forrest are out for any length of time then I think we need replacements for both. As much as Murdoch is very good technically, we miss Kerr in there to calm things down and keep the ball on the deck, and without Forrest we’re definitley short out wide. Also think McGuffie would benefit from a loan move to either League 1 or 2, but our squad depth right now doesn’t really allow for it.
  10. He last played for you 9 and a half years ago. God forbid that fans of Ayr, Dundee, Morton or Queen of the South might have a more up to date opinion.
  11. Typically 90% of people driving range rovers or land rovers.
  12. It's the same with the vast majority of new build stadiums really, regardless of the country. The best ones are generally those that have just slowly evolved with no two stands looking the same.
  13. It’s a bit different when you’re penned into one stand. Tonnes of grounds in the lower leagues have a flat entry charge and anyone is free to sit/stand wherever the f**k they want, not really sure what the issue with that is. The problem with ticket prices is how expensive they are in general, can’t say not having a difference between seating and standing really bothers me.
  14. Yes, it’s incredibly common throughout the lower leagues. I’d far rather stand at a game of football so it doesn’t bother me one bit that it costs the same to sit or stand. Fans are able to move around the ground as they see fit, it’s not like anyone’s penned into a specific stand/terrace.
  15. Pretty sure they could and they would. Ayr don’t charge differently depending what “stand” you’re in and as far as I’m aware neither do most clubs in the lower leagues that have a mix of terracing and seats.
  16. BBC news at 6 has it as their second item. But, despite the ambiguity over whether or not he actually said the word “woman”, they boldly state that he appears to say it as if it’s fact. I’m not a massive fan after the way he’s handled Brexit the past few months, but the media will literally jump on anything to try put the pressure on him instead of focusing on the shit show of a country we currently are.
  17. An account opened 2 hours ago, with 5 tweets and 17 followers. I’m shitting it.
  18. You know it’s possible to have a debit card without an overdraft?
  19. Top marks to the bloke on the SRE having a pop at the club for not providing information on the “rearranged” ICT fixture that hasn’t been rearranged yet.
  20. There’s a right bunch of miserable, lonely cretins on here just name checking every little things that bothers them far more than it should. As for something that actually deserves to be in this thread: people who spend thousands upon thousands doing up a shitty wee banger of a car to make it sound like a rally car whilst parading around residential streets at 30 miles per hour.
  21. Yeah, and if you’re happy to take that money there’s only so much moaning you can do about having the odd game moved.
  22. It's just the price to pay for being near the top of the Championship. It's annoying having games moved but if the club are happy to take the television money there's only so much moaning we can do about it.
  23. Pretty sure about 90% of entries on this thread would be better filed under "things I'm not too keen on".
  24. Genuine question: did Shane Duffy receive the same level of stick?
