Who to keep for next season.
Put yourself in the position of a 1st/2nd division boss. Of the players stripped yesterday who do think would be a good addition to improve your squad?
I've got McCallum & Thomson so far, and then .....
Of those striped yesterday only those two, rest are not good enough. Would keep Nditi and Slater as well though he seems off elsewhere.

....because 6 goals scored in 10 games
You are not alone, there is a real dearth of decent strikers going about at the moment.

Shocking dive there, boy should be embarrassed.

Oh, and a wee win v Motherwell in the cup. Shocking. Relegate us now.
Ignore him, this Forfar fan hopes Rovers stay up, if you keep Reilly and Bevan fit ( really impressed me last week) then you have a great chance.

Can’t remember Forfar having a shot on target. We had a handful, none of which worried McCallum!
Sounds like a cracker!

I’d be keen to know if anyone has ever turned it around after one of those statements. Never, ever seems to end in anything but a sacking a few weeks later
It was bizarre because everyone knew Irvine was done and that he had completely lost the players but the Board doubled down anyway and backed him only to realise a couple of weeks later that actually , yes, he was done. They really risked a major disconnect with the fans at that point and have been at great pains to try to reconnect since ( relatively successfully).

Just looking back at our results and under McKinnon we are as follows:
Played 18, Won 9, Drawn 6, Lost 3, Points, Points 33.
Given it’s a 36 game season at that rate we’d be hypothetically finishing on 66 points, that would surely equal first or second place. Oh for having Ray in all season.
Even if the Board had acted when everyone knew Irvine was done instead of issuing their ‘statement’ we could have been so much better off.

Some cross for the equaliser!

I understand the need for rotation over the last few weeks but surely Ben Armour is our first choice striker and not Matty, and should start every week.
I reckon it is rope-a-dope tactics, let their centre halves get used to and comfortable with the ineffectual, feeble Aitken then put on a centre forward who actually challenges them.

Hutchison quietly just gets on with the game. One to watch for the future with DUFC or higher.
He has been very solid for us.

Yeah Slater, Robson and Hutton together is not going to work. Thought Docherty was best for us but really it was Flanagan and Armour that turned game for us.

Started to avoid another meltdown.
Forfar should be safe with our win against Dumbarton in midweek, with East Fife facing Annan a win would guarantee a top four spot at five o’clock tonight. Albion absolutely in need of the three points to avoid club 42 status.
Forfar have won all three matches so far this season, hopefully they can make it four today.

And Sanny is probably still better than our current striking options.

Currently watching younger me’s wet dream - Templeman and Tosh front line.

We were awful tonight, and it sums up why we won't make the playoffs. At least we won't be in the playoffs at the other end.
Who we do want to keep or bin for next year? Not including the loanees. For me:
Keep: McCallum, Nditi, Slater, Flanagan, Thomson
Undecided: Whyte, Docherty, Ross, Armour
Bin: Munro, Brindley, Hutton, Moore, McCluskey, Aitken
To be honest, based on last 15 months or so, there is not a current player that I would be overly bothered leaving the club in the Summer.

Wasn’t at the game yesterday but I saw the Stranraer manager saying he felt they were “superior all over the pitch”.
If that’s true then we’re going to need to improve for Tuesday night against Forfar. Forfar fans on here saying they were brilliant in the 2nd half yesterday.
Our last 3 games have been super tight against the bottom 3 in the league. It will be even harder against Forfar in midweek. We can’t be remotely thinking about the Dumbarton game at the moment.
It’s been very scrappy of late. Delighted to be challenging but we are overdue a really good performance and it would be nice to keep a clean sheet for a change.Onwards to Tuesday and hopefully 3 points.
We were also terrible in the first half. Stirling, by a long way, the best team I have seen at Station Park this season so far.

I couldn't make the game, but were we actually great? Stats suggest we only had 2 shots on goal? Don't get me wrong, I'm delighted we won, but just not sure if we deserved it
Based on second half would say we deserved the win.

The stats are wrong. We had several great chances, Fleming in the Annan goal had a tremendous game. First half we were murder, 2nd half we were very good.
Summed game up perfectly.

Good video this. It really does look in terrible nick to my untrained eye. It's like someone started a Motocross race on it.
Supergrass? Quality bit of punning there.

The same team mates that had us finish 2nd in League 1?
I'd hardly say Baird, Spencer, Hilson etc were poor. All better than Easton.
Greeting reading about attackers like that and we are currently grubbing about with dross like Aitken and Armour.

Forfar very fortunate to be level at half time, had Stirling been two or more goals to the good it would have been more representative of their dominance. Much more even second half and in the end I think that was a good point against easily the best League Two team I have seen this season so far.
As mentioned earlier two games in and it is pretty apparent that Slater, Robson and Hutton is not a midfield that will work. Far too similar and narrow. Badly need Nditi and Thomson back in the team so that something (anything!) comes from the right side.

Would agree, I despair when fans speak highly about some of the current squad- have they not watched the past 15 or 16 months or so? With that said anything approaching a decent striker might well change things for us , there is just no threat at all from us at times.
