  1. When stuff like that’s put online its obviously personal to me, if you know who I am, I’m no going to stand by and let it happen. If your big enough to troll, defame online behind a username (cowardly) then be big enough to take it back. I’v been known on here rightly or wrongly for over 13 years, it’s not the norm from someone in my position within my company and the football club but I enjoy the forum at times It’s good for informing people interested in Kelty and supporters on here the going’s on, or if they ask a question I can answer them, I feel it’s proved to be a vital platform in the massive change for the better of non league football which Kelty and myself have played a small part in. We have had the lot aimed at the club on here and Social Media from very much a minority may I add, why should I sit back and let trolls defame the Football Club and a business on financial matters that is linked to the Football Club, thats my livelihood, as well as 20 odd other people we employ. Stuff like that’s over and above banter and could be taken as potentially damaging. Banters fine, ribbing other clubs about results/performances jumping into other clubs forums is fair game, no my style but some people in life who maybe don’t get listened to on the outside world certainly like to be heard online behind a mask. Red Rose (Mr Flynn) Muzzam Tarmo and some others it’s 2020 and the season of goodwill, stick to clean ribbing please lads.
  2. He can keep it, silly wee boy. Banters ok, that’s no banter and goes away above and beyond.
  3. There’s a Football Club and business involved who employ a few people, on very thin ice here lads. Defamation: An unprivileged false statement of fact which tends to harm the reputation of a person or company. This is a catch-all term for both libel and slander. Cyber Libel: Defamation which is written such as on a web site. Most online defamation occurs through libel by posting a web page, comment, bulletin board post, review, rating or blog post.
  4. Jeez isnt money laundering where it goes through somewhere and comes out the other end into the hands of the person who put the money in. Trust me, there ain’t no money coming back and hasn’t done for 5 years of investing. You don’t invest in your local football team or any club to make money as it doesn’t happen, it’s very much written off the minute it leaves you. Unless your Craig Whyte or Charles Green. The hates good though, keeps us relative to a couple of idiots on here. 2 who’s clubs have been beat at the wkd so let’s troll the Kelty thread. Muzza, your club has just lost a local sponsor btw for you being a pr**k.
  5. He was in training with us before he signed for Cove, no sure we need another winger/number 10
  6. Money Laundering, fuk me. Get a grip. That’s actually bordering on slander ya cretin. Typical of you Ginger piping up after being on the sauce on a Saturday night. What happened to all your Scottish Cup money btw? You’s had the begging bowl out not so long ago after a £150k windfall 2 year previous. A couple of Hearts dugouts and a bit concrete terrace at your pavilion was all you’s have had to show.
  7. Scobbie and Dylan Injured for today but will be ok for next weeks game. Gary Cenn come off with a dead leg, he will be ok for next week too. Jordan Millar strained a calf muscle 2 weeks ago but should be fine for training this week. We have never released info on injuries before games, which can be frustrating for supporters but I’m sure the reasons are understood.
  8. 100%. Ross had a very tough time with his injury last season but stuck at it and come through the other end. He fits the profile of the type of player Barry Ferguson and Kelty Hearts want at the club with his work rate, pace, fitness and strength allied to his obvious ability. Excellent to see after a right off of a season for Ross last year.
  9. Well he’s got till January to compete with the rest of a strong squad for a place. It’s a short term deal for both parties to see how it goes.
  10. Maybe we should follow East Stirlingshire’s recruitment plan Was 7-1 with half an hour to go when Chris come on that game against ES in August, it ended 9-1. He played in most of EK’s games last season picking up a league winners medal. If you go through East Kilbrides you tube highlights it’s pretty clear Chris Humphrey is a very capable player and has a lot to offer especially at this level.
  11. Matty’s away to Oz now. Ross will go out on loan from this week. Scott McBride let us know a few weeks ago that his last game is this week as he wants to concentrate on his roofing business at a busy time of year taking on weekend work. Leaves us with 17 including tonight’s signing, 18’s a good number with some young 20’s also, there’s possibly room for 1 more in January if the right players becomes available although the squad is quite versatile so we may go with what we have.
  12. Ross Jardine wants to go out on loan to get 1st team game time and to aid his development we agree, that left us short. Ross May go out this week or next. Work commitments prevented Crocket from continuing as he couldn’t commit fully to Saturdays and some training nights.
  13. Our average home gate this season i suspect will end up around 500-600 with only a few teams bringing any kind of support. Our average is 404 after 6 games in the league and 567 in the League and Cup games, we have still to play Bonnyrigg, BSC, East Kilbride, East Stirlingshire and Berwick at home in the league which will have it creep up to over 500. IF we were ever to reach L2 over the next few year then it would be much the same possibly higher with bigger away supports and the new housing development that will happen in the village adding to the numbers. We wont get near Coves average crowds i wouldn't imagine. The way our matchday works may be different from others in that we charge at the gate but we can also get another £10 to £50 from punters through the social club, 30% of punters coming into our ground don't spend £7 or £10 with prog pie, the average spend is £24 when you add in Social Club from 1pm to 8pm at night then theres the booked out hospitality at £40 a head. Clubs cant just survive on gate money. It's hard for Cowden with the way the stadium is in terms of ownership to get to these levels of matchday income per person although iv noticed your trying to get people to use the lounge on matchdays
  14. There’s certainly going to be a ceiling for a club our size, theres over 1000 houses and a new industrial park being built over the coming few years that will push the population of Kelty up to nearer 10,000 which we would hope to tap into. If we can be an established SPFL L2 club within 5 years and for a further 100 years in the system like clubs in bigger towns then it’s job done. The Lowland League is fierce though in terms of competition at the top and the play offs are weighed against the non league clubs, it may take a few seasons to make the 1st jump.
  15. Population of of 6000 but we are certainly punching above our weight compared to clubs in towns 3 times our size. Higher average attendances than alot in bigger town clubs, sell out 50 hospitality spaces for every home game, have sponsors boards all around the ground from companies in and outside the village, fill a Social Club every home game all from a wee viallage. That doesn’t come by mucking around, it comes through very hard work, we try to do things properly within a community based spirit and we always look to improve when we can. People and supporters love that approach and it can attract growth. Not looking for pats on the back but we don’t deserve to be shot at when clubs in much bigger towns can’t get it right.
  16. The comparison between Kelty and Gretna stops at someone putting a wad of money into the playing squad. What's happening at Kelty is far bigger than Mileson ever done at Gretna. Just saw those new plans for the ground - the infrastructure is being heavily invested in, not just for the benefit of the football club, but for the community. Sure there's players there that can easily be playing at a higher level and they'll be getting paid well, but the club 'should' exist far longer when the money dries up than what Gretna did due to said investment. The investment in the facilities will make the club more reliant on self funding ie more sustainable going forward, you got to spend money to make money. With the new facilities we will double our income on hospitality, Offer a corporate box for 20, have a functional cafe open daily night and day, an extended Social Club to fit more people. Yeah it’ll take a fair bit of investment but the income will increase fairly quickly also thus letting us put the profits from that increased income onto the pitch.
  17. Just under 300 yesterday so no bump really, it was Baltic tbh so indoor Xmas shopping may have won the day. The bars were busier than normal especially 2nd half.
  18. Sean’s no getting a break just now, head injury has cleared up after 20 stitches but he had an infected insect bite on his leg last week but a course of antibiotics will have him ok for this Saturday. Must say Arnie Bembo has been excellent coming in the last couple of games, especially yesterday. He had a fantastic game. Ross has personal issue’s and he wants to come out of football for a bit, shame and a blow as he is a very talented young player who we thought very highly of. The club and especially the manager have supported and helped Ross in a number of ways for almost 14 months.
  19. Very Harsh to sack him in the Kelty Hearts referees room after the game considering they’d have all been travelling home on the bus.
  20. Your right, some may want peace to watch the game while some may want a bit noise and atmosphere, i know what the players want. Its been a great addition to the club imo and the young boys should be applauded, the players appreciate the whole support aswell as them and there is a strong bond forming with the support during matches which is good to see, it brings a bit atmosphere to the match experience also. Not everyone's cup of tea but in the modern way the club has been shaped then i for 1 welcome them. They sang all the way through the Berwick game on a freezing cold night, they got a tenner off me at half time to fuel up with a hot drink as a thanks. The youngsters i feel should be encouraged IF they behave which they are doing just now and they will grow as the weeks go on which is good for the present and future of Kelty.
  21. Briliant news, well done everyone at the Glens
