  1. Assume any money in this is gone? I had £50 in it, few shares in Kieran Tierney, Mo Elyounoussi, and Eberechi Eze. All have done well and gone up since I "invested" in them, benchmark is sitting at £89.00 with £8.68 in dividends. While it would be nice to get money back out of it, that's nothing compared to hearing about the folk with thousands in it. Mental
  2. Stepping up and performing in the real high pressure games. Who gives a f**k about cup finals, its all about the Potato

First weekend league in a while for me as I needed 4 wins for the Swaps token. Ended 17-13, rage quit in the last game when I went 1-0 up. Instead of being buzzing I made it to G2 (which I've done a couple times before, never higher), I just felt... empty. I spent basically my whole weekend playing FIFA, and didn't really enjoy it at all, despite King Kenny banging in 46 goals. Definitely taking a break from it, you get nothing back from it and it just makes me frustrated when I look back at my weekend and I've sat on my arse for most of it playing fucking FIFA. Completed Cucurella in SB when I had players suspended. (Always Boateng ) 2 bonus red picks were the 83 RWB from Hoffenheim at 10 wins, and 86 Zahavi at 16. Did a premium 86+ upgrade and was offered 2x 86 and an 87. Took 86 Reus, as he looks fun.
  4. Week 32: Ross County (1-2 Hibs (H)) Some very dubious refereeing ensures the Hot Potato will finish the season in the bottom six, with Ross County travelling to St Johnstone on Saturday. Obviously St Johnstone can still just about make top six, but that would mean beating Ross County. On a very happy note, every team has played 32 games, and we are at week 32 of the Hot Potato. With all the rearranged/postponed games, I didn't think that would happen. Table Update 2 sides have 100% records in Hot Potato games, rather surprisingly it is Celtic & Dundee Utd, and not Steven Gerrard's Rangers (That's their full name right?) Half of the teams in the league have held the Hot Potato at some point. Maximum of 8/12 potentially holding, as Dundee Utd and St Mirren could finish in the bottom six. St Mirren can guarantee a potato-less season by beating Hamilton on Saturday. Aberdeen, Celtic, Livi and Rangers will all have a carb-free year.
  5. Week 31: Hibernian (0-1 League Cup Winners St Johnstone (A)) Callum Davidson continues to own wee Jack Ross. The Hot Potato pushing to get in to the top six, as are St Johnstone League Cup Winners St Johnstone. Up next is a trip to the Highlands, as Hibs face Ross County on Saturday. Hibs failing to win this match would almost definitely see the Hot Potato clinch that vital top six spot, as their next match is at the Spaghettihad against League Cup Runners Up Livingston. If they win, it will finish in the Bottom Six.
  6. Wasnt the Hamilton red card v Hibs rescinded? Not according to the commentator

Depending on how many you've done/how much you want to get to level 30, they're definitely not necessary. But I know most people on this game have an irrational need to complete all objectives

81+ Player Picks aren't paying out as well this time round
  9. Week 29: Motherwell (0-0 St Mirren (A)) I think the least said about this game the better. Which means we can devote more time to this; Week 30: Hibernian (0-2 Motherwell (H)) Well lads, we called it. Hibs' first Hot Potato encounter of the season sees them completely and utterly shit the bed, and take a pasting from Motherwell. Every team has now faced the prospect of a Potatoey week, and Hibs are now the only team in the league to lose 100% of these important matches. The Hot Potato ventures in to the top six for the first time this season, however it can come straight back down on Saturday as Hibs travel to 2021 League Cup winners, and Scotland's undisputed second force, St Johnstone, on Saturday. If the Hibees fail to win that match, they'll have another opportunity to send the Potato to the bottom half the following Saturday when they face Ross County away. If Hibs win in Perth, the Potato will finish in the bottom six.

With the objectives needing score/assist in 10 alongside win 6, the virgins quitting if I equalise don't even bother me. I'll win 6 before I score in 10 anyway. It's not happened nearly as much as swaps 1 though, as I have been participating in Golden Goal almost every time. Think I'm going to go for Deco for 7 tokens, and packs, he links SIF Joao Cancelo, Bernardo Silva and FB CR7 perfectly, giving me flexibility with the left side of my team to do whatever the f**k I want. Anyone got/used Deco yet?
  11. I know it could be deemed insignificant, but if the English premier league introduced relegation playoffs, do you think Sky would omit that fact from the league position implications? And just throw in some arbitrary top half playoff that doesn't exist?
  12. Still plenty opportunity for that. Starting tomorrow night, as it looks like St Mirren will grab that last place - although if they lose, they play County, Rangers then Hamilton. Can't see them somehow getting into the top six, with the Hot Potato. Most likely option for me is Motherwell keeping it tomorrow night, giving it to Hibs on Saturday, and Hibs failing to win in Perth. Hibs then play Livingston in the last pre-split game, which would guarantee a top six finish. Looking at the fixtures, I think the only 2 teams at this point that can't possibly have it at the split, are Aberdeen and Dundee United.
  13. Hey, this is my thread for shamelessly having digs at other teams. It's not supposed to work the other way round
  14. A Well loss, or a draw, will mean Hibs face the prospect of the Hot Potato. History would suggest it remains in Lanarkshire, as the Potato hasn't been in the top six at all this season. But if you can count on Hibs for one thing, it's to completely shit the bed in a big game.
  15. Week 28: Motherwell (0-3 St Johnstone (H)) A thumping victory for League Cup finalists St Johnstone at Fir Park means that instead of spending the week looking forward to a rare week off, and a trip to Hampden, the Scottish Premiership Hot Potato instead visits Paisley. What a disappointment. Motherwell join Hamilton at the top (bottom?) of the league having held the potato for 9 weeks. Wednesdays game between St Mirren and Motherwell huge for survival/top six reasons, but also (mainly) potato based reasons.
  16. Just black shoes, nothing to see here If your dog has been there they could be jobby nettles, twice the risk involved getting near them
  17. The other week she decided to polish her work shoes at the bottom of the stairs. I innocently questioned whether that was the best place to do it, seeing as we have a garage, and any polish falling on to the wooden floor might be a bit more of an issue than it would be in said garage. I was promptly told "it's fine, I'm not dropping polish, I know what I'm doing". Last night she polished them in the garage.

Just had a look at the potential pulls. Players like HL Mbappe & Son, FS Saka, Reyna, Bergwijn, Freeze Mane or Dembele are very tempting.. UEL RTTF Tadic and OTW Osimhen are much more likely though

Are people doing that party bag SBC? I'm tempted, but having rinsed my club for 81+ picks, and then firing most of them into Ronaldo + Gundogan, I don't have many spare left for an SBC I might actually want to do

I'll only ever give a win if 1. I don't need it 2. The opponent hasn't been a dick celebrating with that stupid dance and 3. Its level going into stoppage time. If I don't need the win I'm not bothered about going in to ET for it

I scored in 6/6 with my 82, only one guy let me score and he also had 82 Reinier, so I let him right back up to equalise. Am I f**k giving away free wins though, I log on to play the game not to watch you go afk. This guy however, rubber-banded his controller to run towards my goal. In the first half. He forgot about changing ends at half time, so I promptly gave him the ball, and watched his defenders run it in to their own goal 3 times. I get the objective, win and save a little time. He gets a life lesson. I saved the clip but don't know how to upload/edit it
  22. Can I just say I am all for Potato puns. Very happy for anyone else to chip in
