  1. Very encouraging performance from Broxburn today. Could have folded in the first half but didn’t. Looks like we could be one of the teams to beat this season .
  2. Yes two good games and looking forward to tomorrow
  3. Encouraging performance but only preseason. Need to do that when it matters
  4. No both decent teams and anyone wanting to win the league will have to be wary of them. I think they do suffer a bit from there being a lot of Fife derbies.
  5. Not really I know you didn’t have a great season last year like Broxburn (who I watch), but fully expected you to be putting in a challenge to Sauchie, Jeanfield and Musselburgh this year for top spot .
  6. I think Sauchie will be the team to beat next season. We struggled big time in midfield against fit young sides rather than established sides. A couple of signings we have made should improve this. We were desperately short of a left back last year and at this level you get punished at this level for any weaknesses. Big difference is this management know what they want. I feel that was half the problem last year. I think 5th is not beyond us but we need to be at it early
  7. No idea who it was but if it was the right back he was decent
  8. First chance to get a look at Broxburn this season. Encouraging signs but early days. Tranent good value for their win. Best of luck to both sides this season.
  9. Hope so. The signings last season also looked decent to begin with but just never got going.
  10. Another decent draw for Broxburn. Good to get a local Derby and maybe the only one of the season. Will be tough as Whitburn will be out for revenge for last season’s cup defeat .
  11. What I know so far for Broxburn is:- In Nick Locke - Bo’ness Ben Davidson - Linlithgow Out Euan Henderson - Crossgates Shaun Harrison Josh Blair Jordon Orru - Dundonald
  12. Yeah he was outstanding for us in his first spell. A huge miss since he went to Newton
  13. Another new signing from Lithgae in Ben Davidson . Is he any good?
  14. Everyone on holiday I think. Plus a number of players are on two year deals. Expect a number of signings b4 preseason.
  15. Tad embarrassed as a Broxburn fan to have taken 3 points from Haddington when we were spanked. I know rules are rules and everyone has to abide by them but that’s the second time this season we’ve not really deserved anything and taken 3 points in both games.
  16. Yes good performance today. Felt a bit for Crossgates as they were really hampered by injuries and ended up with 10 men. Gives me renewed optimism for next season .
  17. With no Lithgae and Blackburn in the Premier wonder if Broxburn will get Jeanfield as the designated derby .
  18. I think Brad isn’t good enough now. Looks like there was a great defender there at one time but age has caught up with him. Drops 5 yards deeper which causes problems for the full backs. Left back has been a huge defensive issue with Gordon being out a lot.
  19. Very true. It’s the defence I’m more concerned with. The best back 5 at the start of the season was probably Donoghue (GK), Gillan (RB), Harrison & Wright (CB’s) and Donaldson (LB). Don’t think they even played one game together all season due to one thing or another. Only the 3 relegated sides conceded more than Broxburn.
  20. It’s a difficult one as Gary B has also played really well this season. To fit the two in we need to go 3-5-2 or 4-4-2. The first was an utter shambles any we played it. The other formation suited us better due to a lack of pace and fitness in midfield but didn’t do it often enough. Interesting to see how next season goes but if we are not at it early relegation is a real possibility. The teams coming up are stronger than last year and there is no poor team dropping in from the Lowland this year.
  21. Sooner the season is over the better. Horrible campaign but not surprised. Towner was a decent player but should never have got this season. None of his close season signings have improved the team based on this season’s performance save Errol since February. Standouts if any have been Brass, Binnie, Gillan. Bremner looks half decent but desperately need help. No pace and get overrun by young fit teams - Haddington, Tynecastle, LTHV amongst others have shown this. Still be there next week and next season hoping for better. Mon the Brox
  22. Yes would love to see Blackburn stay up. Tall order but hopefully they manage it Otherwise no West Lothian derbies to look forward too.
