Tough trip down to deepest darkest Ayrshire today to face a top side. Good luck to the Brox . Think we might need it -

Not sure about last time Pitman was here. He had help in the HoB win , who I would take back in a heartbeat but not on their agenda -

Started his audition for the job playing 3-5-2. That got horsed several times this season even by VOL. It’s like he wasn’t watching what was going on . Nice lad but not up to it. This season is now about building for next year. We have a poor record there so not reading much into it. -

Tricky tie away to Preston Athletic in the League cup. Hopefully the new Management will have the team firing on all cylinders by then -

Heard on the grapevine that they were interviewing some people but not got any names or details. I’m sure there would be interest as it is a good gig. -

Any news on the new Management Team? -

Old management wouldn’t play 442 or 451 which the squad is best suited too. When they have played that they have been decent and solid. Whilst I agree it was relatively low quality we didn’t look like conceding (goal was a mistake/ weather), which was pleasing. -

Looked more organised today and a very welcome win. Hopefully it will help confidence. -

I hope so. Think there will be a few applications already. It is a decent job and the committee are loyal and will give the new management time. There is definitely a lack of Team spirit that used to exist. Comes from having favourites who play whatever happened. -

Hit the nail on the head Burnieman. Poor management being allowed to go on for so long has caused this. No settled shape, no consistency as to what the best team is, players out of form continuing to play week in week out has led to this situation. We are in the relegation scrap and are fortunate to have picked up points earlier in the season and there are two certainties for relegation. We are not playing as a team and have not done so for much of the season. It’s getting a bit squeaky bum time. Not sure if a 4th gets relegated if Edinburgh Uni comes down and Lithgae lose the playoffs. If that is the case I’m seriously worried -

The manager walked b4 he was sacked. Was obvious in the first game against VOL that 352 didn’t suit them. Struggling at 1-0 down then changed it -

Wasn’t there today but was told they played 352. Hasn’t worked for them all season so what has the Asst Manager been watching all season . Surely the first thing you do is make sure you are hard to beat. There is an obvious split in the squad and confidence is shot. Need a strong personality in quickly otherwise they could get dragged into a relegation scrap. Tough/Important game against HoB next where a point is the minimum requirement. -

No. I’d take Brian and Hissy back in a heartbeat but don’t think that will happen -

Should have gone long ago! Take no satisfaction in saying that. Selection/tactics and man management baffling at times. Today was another example playing 433 against the team with the best wide men in the league. Lithgae could have taken6/7 quite easily but the formation made that possible. -

Yes I can confirm it was waterlogged rather than snow or ice. But one box was utterly horrendous. Ball didn’t bounce at all. But if a ref says it’s playable what can you do . When you get a really cold snap for a number of days like we just had the drains can freeze and the water doesn’t drain as normal on these pitches. -

Seriously how can it pass a 10.00 am inspection then be called off at 1 pm when conditions have actually improved . -

Neither can I as we are picking up points here and there. The worrying thing is that all but the bottom two have taken or should have taken points off us. So if the malaise continues and we get dragged in, it could happen. I did expect a slow start because of the number of new players coming in but thought by now we would be beginning to mount a challenge. -

VOL and Oakley look certainties to go down, plus one more. We should be okay as we are still picking up points but like you I think we should be challenging at the top not looking over our shoulders. The large number of players brought in don’t seem to have added much which is a bit disappointing. -

Thought we were lucky to take a point in all honesty. Not sure why because last week they fielded almost two different teams against Spartans in a friendly and looked decent both half’s . Scored relatively early and you’re thinking great they will kick on from here but just didn’t happen. -

Got there pretty comfortably in the end yesterday. First half very forgettable but second much better. Cup tie so winning is all that matters -

Broxburn 3-2 winners in a friendly against Edinburgh South last night. Decent game. Generally wouldn’t comment on these but is was good to see Jay and Downie getting a good run out after long injuries. Hopefully they will be fully fit soon to bolster both our attack and defence. -

Not looking for a knee jerk reaction but looks like another year of No cup runs and mid table mediocrity. Only thing positive I will say is we won’t go down.
