  1. Didn’t know that. Probably why most of his shots go over the bar…
  2. Was just about to direct you to that link on the EEB forum. Good luck!
  3. Aye a lot of southern hemisphere guys in there now. I’d imagine Ross McCann will have a posh Edinburgh accent as our Lewis has one. I think all them lads were born and raised in Edinburgh, they just qualify for Ireland through one of their parents.
  4. Might get boo’d off for this but I’m a bit of a rugby fan, nothing too serious, Six Nations mainly. Just noticed that one of Scotland's best wingers has pulled out of the first two games due to injury, only to be replaced by Ross McCann, the older brother of Pars striker Lewis. Two professional footballers, capped at international level and an international rugby player. Not bad genes there! Had no idea Lewis had another brother, let alone one that is a Scotland/Edinburgh rugby player.
  5. Cards on the table I’d welcome the Rudden signing if it happens. His return of goals might not be record breaking but I think he seems like a more out and out striker compared to everything we have apart from Taylor Sutherland. Wighton is a winger turned striker who done very well in L1 but it hasn’t happened in the Championship. McCann can look great but I think he’s better wide of a three. Jakubiak is a good player, I think we can agree he’s actually decent at holding the ball up, involving others but he’s got two goals in a good number of games and they both came within about 5 minutes of each other. I don’t think anyone is saying Rudden is the proven striker who’ll score all the goals to fire us to the promised land but he might just get a few more than the guys we have currently. As mentioned above, a striker who knows the league and has scored goals is hard to come by in January.
  6. In fairness to James McPake, in the 20 or so months that he’s been in charge he’s done very little to bother us or give off that he’s a “pretty shite manager”. Won league one at a canter in his first season in charge. This season his hands have been tied with injuries, even still we were competing and sitting in the playoffs until very recently when the injuries got to an all time high (or low). This season the objective was to stay in the division and have more of a challenge next season. As I say, we were in 4th up until about a fortnight ago so none of us are losing sleep over him as a manager. Recruitment could have been a bit better, and yes he does seem to go for a lot of players he’s previously worked for but don’t a lot of managers in Scotland do the same with restrictive budgets?
  7. I mean he might not be, Aaron Comrie is a steady 7/10 most weeks but he’s never played any higher than the Championship.
  8. I think they’ll have plenty suitors, I could even see a Livi make a move. However I would expect they’ll both rock up in the Championship. I’d take both but knowing we want a striker and centre back and that McPake signed Rudden for Dundee, I’d be shocked if we didn’t make a move for him. To be fair, Cammy Kerr is that more natural right back, probably better than Comrie. He might fancy him too if budget allowed…
  9. Just noticed the Courier have posted an article today confirming Zack Rudden and Cammy Kerr have both been told they’re free to find new clubs. Would be shocked if we don’t move for Rudden, the old ex Dundee player link lives on
  10. Sorry, what’s the Pars Club site? Is it the East End Bounce forum?
  11. Ah I had to pull out on the day so missed it. I assume that went down like a led balloon in the room?
  12. When did that become common knowledge like? Second part of probably spot on. People love a gripe and conspiracy when there’s a chance to moan.
  13. As soon as I seen the “winnable game” post I knew it would haunt him. The first thing the guy comes back with was a Mum joke, absolutely tragic.
  14. Tough ask but never say never. Dundee Utd clear favourites but at the end of the day it’s 11 v 11. Hopefully we’ll have Otoo, Fisher, McCann back for this one, plus new signing Fagan-Walcott and who knows, maybe another new face. The thought of Otoo or Hammy being able to play in the middle is great, hopefully both can be playing together in the middle in the not so distant future. The signing of Wotherspoon for Utd is a big one. Obviously we had our fling with him in the summer and after all the pissing about he ended up going to Inverness. He showed in his short stint there just how good he is. I think he’ll add that quality and composure to them going forward. I’m not expecting much from this one, would bite your hand off for another point but I think it’ll be a tough ask.
  15. You’re totally right actually mate, forgot that this was supposed to be 2nd December. So aye, fair chance we might meet on 10th Feb
  16. I’d imagine midweek. Just had a look at our fixtures and most Saturdays taken apart from the 10th February which is the next round of the cup. Airdrie are top of the list so say they don’t get past StJohnstone then it could be us and them on that day. However if they do then I could see ourselves playing that day. Already playing midweek on Friday 23rd and Tuesday 27th so that rules out those midweeks.
  17. I’m a five minute drive from East End. My back garden has been squidgy and defrosted since yesterday evening, and with the overnight rain a wee bit more today. I’m quite surprised it’s off given how mild it’s been for the last 28 hours? There’s parts of my garden that are sheltered from any sunlight but are fine. Disappointing but another week of rest for players, another week to recruit and just to pour fuel on the seethe, a chance to now play the game when we’ve got less on the injury table. In fairness, if they play this game in February then it’s unlikely we’ll have many players back that wouldn’t be available today as Comrie, Jakubiak, Breen, Todd, Bene, KRH likely all still probably missing, some maybe in training.
  18. I noticed Bonnyrigg announced a 10am pitch inspection for their Scottish Cup tie with Falkirk and it’s just been given the green light.
  19. I think all of McCann’s injuries have been hamstring related. He had the bad one last season. Then a couple this season. Could just be that that’s his weakness.
  20. It’s certainly not even heavy enough for a waterlogged pitch but could be enough to soften the ground that wee bit more. Still two hours until the pitch inspection, in that time the rain is meant to reduce a bit. My garden has reacted well to the milder weather. If the game was being played here then it would be on, all I’m saying… Be very interesting what is said if it is off. It’s not been wet enough for a waterlogged pitch, and we don’t have a burst pipe contributing to a waterlogged area of the pitch like last week. It’s also now been above freezing for 24hr+ with some rain.
  21. My wife was holding the clip board and threw one of the dogs balls up to see if it bounced. Some sort of weird role play
