  1. Harsh on MOH. Was one of our better players yesterday, again a very very low bar but singling him out is poor. He’s also a winger/attacking midfielder being deployed as a wing back, he’s hardly had a fair rub of the green. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he’s in my all time Pars 11 but it’s just making him a scapegoat. I could dig out at least nine of the other starting players from yesterday before I went after MOH. Will give you Chalmers though. I said we’d win nothing with him and Paul Allan in the middle last year. He went on to prove me wrong and did fairly well, however he wasn’t under pressure against better players like he is now. This season has completely passed him by.
  2. I don’t think we’re at sacking the manager stage yet, some way off it actually. Today’s result is a sore one because we were fucking dreadful and got smashed by a team who we’ve beaten fairly comfortably twice this season. If we’d lost 1-2 in a spirited performance there wouldn’t be half the noise. However, it can’t be denied that things aren’t going well at the moment. I say we have to, absolutely have to take six points from the next fortnight. We’re playing the two teams below us at home, they’re must win. If we lost any of them then I think the crowd noise could reach boiling point. The only concern is we’re then back to sacking a manager, paying him off for another two years and I have little faith in the board appointing the right man. FWIW I think McPake will lead us to safety this year, in fact I think we’ll get key players back and finish mid table. As I said above, it feels raw and sore tonight but we have the beating of most teams in this division on our day. Think Ian Murray might be out a job soon so maybe him.
  3. Today was a complete disaster, we were really poor and deserved everything we got. However, I think we’ll be okay and avoid automatic relegation but we need to pull out injured fingers out of our injured arseholes rapid. Two games in hand on the two directly above us and a game in hand on the two teams below us. All ifs and buts but win the games in hand and we could be knocking on the door of the promotion playoffs. Big thing for us is getting players back fit, most not far away it sounds but another announced as our for 6-8 weeks earlier today. A lot of football to be played. I’m hoping today is going to be a bit of a wake up call. Queens Park at East End next weekend then Arbroath the following weekend, six points and nothing less will do I’m afraid. Back to basics, scrap the back five and have a bit of dig. They’re capable.
  4. That was abysmal today but fair fucks to Morton, came and put their game plan on us, were physical, aggressive and thoroughly deserved the big win. Calling for McPake’s head is wild but he has to change up the tactics. Why we persevere with the back five when it doesn’t actually work with current available personnel. QP game next week is massive, go a goal down there and by f**k it’ll be poisonous. Minimum of six points from the next two games (home to QP & Arbroath).
  5. What a joke this is. To be fair, the managers pre match interview sounded positive - every injured player is back running. Comrie, Matty Todd are further ahead. Kane running but the injury was his shoulder so it’ll have its own timescale, then Bene. I think the one expected to be at the back of the pack is Breeny.
  6. I think I posted on here the morning after the meeting, I wasn’t there but work with a guy who does. We happened to pass each other in the office and I asked about the meeting. He kinda mentioned a few things like the training ground but in our 20-30 second interaction the main thing he said/I took away from it was that there’s a lot of incorrect scare mongering, the club are on a sound footing and the guys in charge/investors are as committed now as they’ve ever been, if not more. That’ll do for me. I’m sure there’ll be losses, what club aren’t posting losses apart from the ultra six million pies a week brigade. We’re building a training ground which has really kicked on and we’re coming round from the hangover of two managerial sackings and a year in league one.
  7. Was the Rudden first half sub down to tactics, injury or because he’s gash? Noticed he got an early booking.
  8. I love Josh Edwards, I'm sure he'll go on to bigger and better things than the Pars but by Christ he needs to work on that final ball, it's not even bad at times, it's brutal. Either out for a throw on the far side or it goes out for a goal kick before it's crossed the edge of the box.
  9. Games off just for your cheek. I'm away up to get the snow machine pumping!
  10. Hammy has proved size doesn’t matter if you’re good enough.
  11. Wouldn’t be shocked if we add before the game on Saturday but not before the deadline tonight.
  12. Wouldn't be too arsed if they gave Joe a wee deal until end of the season, where he's also doing the vacant role that Greg Shields done. Then he retires, gets the nice big playing career send off at East End and moves into the academy role full time. I think we'll probably sign Josh McPake and another defender.
  13. Aye was on loan circa 2013 for half a season then on trial a year or two later under AJ but didn’t get a deal. Ended up going to Ayr and the rest is history.
  14. Rosyth Training Ground Update | Dunfermline Athletic Football Club - (dafc.co.uk) Wee update on the training ground.
  15. May well have been that Thistle game I seen him in! I definitely seen him in a game at Ochilview and he was pretty good, without doing anything amazing. To be fair I'd take him even if just until end of the season, dangle the carrot to offer a chance to earn a new deal or put himself in the window.
  16. I seen him play for QP last season and he looked good but one of the QP fans further up said he kinda fell out of the picture. Definitely a good player but could be an attitude thing. I wonder if he was the #7 trialist yesterday? I think he'd be a decent squad player.
  17. Sounds like it. Passing comment speaking to a Pars supporting mate at work today who was there. Gist of it is there's been a lot of scaremongering and the club are in a decent place and the investors are committed as ever. Didn't have a chance to ask anything else about training ground or anything else but I'm sure there was chat.
  18. Heard a wee snippet from last night's meeting. Absolutely nae worries.
  19. The Courier reporting we're "running the rule" over Josh McPake. Would be a good signing, done well with QP last season. Sounds like a bit of homework done on Holmes, mentions us seeing him when watching Moffat initially and McPake has spoken to Steven Dobbie about him.
  20. Bit of height up there which is good, looks physical from his Instagram. Stats maybe not amazing but give the boy a chance.
  21. Steven Fletcher left out of Wrexham's last two games...
  22. Ressies squad for the game at QP confirmed, two trialists starting at #7 & #9. Also someone on the bench called "Snoddy". Imagine Robert Snodgrass hadn't just retired, that would get the tongues wagging.
