  1. C'mon, Halloween is done, only Christmas gags from here on.
  2. Just not a real derby or game against a real title competitor. We'll take 4K to Airdrie.
  3. Slagged me off in the GC yesterday for saying it would be a sell out tae. Would slag you off regardless In all honesty, I just don't know if we'll sell out the away end completely, won't be far off. With the trains being off this weekend I'm wondering if that'll put people off.
  4. Tell you one thing, if this game sells out in League 1 that'll be absolutely outstanding. Home end well on it's way, away end a bit slower than I expected but sure it'll get there by the end of the week. I've to still get for me and my mate. I think a lot of people always forget that there's very little grounds in Scotland where you can just rock up with your cash these days which is a massive shame.
  5. In the first half he was very good. Completely anonymous in the second half.
  6. I'd say lazy bookmaking. Oh who's top of the league, yeah make them favourites. Falkirk and Dunfermline both top of the form league with 13 but with home advantage I'd make Falkirk slight favourites. All though saying that in the last season we were together you won twice at East End and we won twice at TFS. We were much better on Saturday in terms of striker play, Wighton looked like the player we originally signed, some wee nice touches and a goal. Wouldn't be surprised to see McPake tweak the formation a bit, go with an extra body in the middle of the park, allowing Mochrie to play off the striker and then we have another striker to come off the bench. Deniz Comrie/Fisher/Bene/Breen/Edwards Todd/Hamilton/Chalmers Mochrie Wighton Huge game, whoever wins puts a real statement out there. If we can go to Falkirk and win then it'll work wonders for the confidence, will put 7 points distance between us. If Falkirk beat us then there'll only be a point between us and will give them a real boost. Really hard to predict, depends what version of each team turn up. I think it'll be low scoring, a goal separating the sides if not another 1-1 draw.
  7. You get some halwfwits trying to drive up Halbeath Rd between 4:45 and 5pm. Surely most people from Dunfermline know not to bother with Halbeath Rd on a match day between 16:45 and say 17:10. If it's not the crowds coming out it's then the traffic caused by people getting in their cars on various side streets.
  8. Douglas Ross the assistant ref on Saturday again, odds on him crying if put in front of the NW?
  9. Jagermister and this new Prime energy drink that all the kids are drinking these days.
  10. I've just realised I've answered something about why the pub changed hands when that wasn't even a question, what a tube I am. I genuinely have no idea why it was the orange aftershock/red bull. IIRC there was a few at the time named after current players, for example the Skittle Bomb was renamed the Whittle Bomb.
  11. No idea, I've not regularly drank in Tappies for about a decade, that's when the "Andy Tod" bomb was around.
  12. Pubs changed hands over the years, but it was orange aftershock and red bull if you were after a few.
  13. Not making this one today which is a shame as it's one I still have to tick off the list. I'd say this is the trickiest game so far, not an overly easy place to go but saying that we're not an easy nut to crack, I think it'll be a low scoring game. I'd take a point right now, but a win would be a wonderful result. Safe journey to everyone heading up, like pea soup out there this morning.
  14. Watched the 5-1 goals from the youth team this morning, picture wasn't brilliant, but I think for one of Tod's goals he smashes it from the right-hand side of the box into the far corner, a superb strikers finish. Forget injuries to Wighton and Todorov, stick him up front like his old man. What position does he actually play? He was wearing 10 but I suppose that could be anywhere these days.
  15. Me and my mate both said at the game on Saturday that if he works on some little things like his finishing then he'll be playing for Dundee Utd in the Prem, no questions.
  16. One of the few grounds I still have to tick off but missing this one unfortunately. Think this one will be tricky but we've been better on the road than at home this season so hopefully that continues.
  17. Agreed. Whilst I don't think they'll be relegation candidates I don't think they'll be in the top 4. They offered nothing yesterday, parked the bus and were rewarded handsomely for their time wasting. They've scored more away goals than we have goals in total, yet you wouldn't think that. I said before a ball was kicked that Airdrie, Dunfermline, Falkirk and Kelty H would all make the top 4. Kelty had a poor start but have started picking up wins, Airdrie have gone right off the boil, but I'd still expect it to be the same come the end of the season. I don't think Queens are consistent enough to keep up and I don't know if Montrose have enough to win more games than they draw (they'll beat us on Saturday no doubt).
  18. Yeah they've been consistently shite for everyone, I just mean it's been very noticable this season, I've been at every home game and there hasn't been one yet where I've sat thinking WTF. There was a head knock one a couple of weeks back, can't recall if it was the Falkirk game or not. Boy gets a head knock, goes down, ref notices and plays on, eventually the ball goes out and the game is stopped. 20 minutes later, a boy gets a run of the mill knock after a challenge, play continues and then within 10 seconds he stops the game. Is it not meant to be the other way about?
  19. Officials have been mostly garbage this season. The difference from a ref officiating in Prem/Championship to League 1 is very noticeable.
  20. Haha I was half watching telly and posting that, meant Todd.
  21. Aye I have to eat humble pie with this one. Someone can probably find the comment where I said we would win nothing with him and Paul Allan as first team starters. Allan has been brilliant this season, bags of energy, consistent, chipping in with goals and a local lad to boot so he gets it. Long may that continue!
  22. From viewing our home games I've no doubt we can scrape a 1-0 anywhere in the division but I think we'll taste defeat in the league for the first time this season. Saturday's ending was bizarre, the opening periods against Falkirk and Peterhead were sh*te, IMO I think Alloa may sneak this one. Would love to be proved wrong and the bitter taste of last week's draw gets us out there firing on all cylinders but I'm not so sure.
  23. For a lot of people it’s not about sticking it to them, people just want to go and watch their team regardless of the opposition/competition, it hardly makes them a sap. It’s maybe the only thing they look forward to.
