  1. If we are being honest it is not a complete surprise, has he fallen on his sword or a mutual parting of the ways, the ITK crowd are awfully quiet on this whole matter, he was a guy with the club at heart , but his signing policy has went rogue and in my opinion that was his downfall, that and getting involved on a day to day basis on the training field and also in the dug out.... Moving forward I would expect Ian Murray to get another season with an assistant that he wants with playoffs the bare minimum expected..
  2. Leagues one and 2 have only hemselves to blame, we should have pushed for a August start date like the "elite" clubs when the virus was less prevalent, but decided to ride the furlough scheme for as long as they could, some clubs in the lower leagues have never been as solvent don't kid ourselves, 200k in hand outs in league 1 and 150k in league 2.....Foot ball and society needs to get off its knees,
  3. Distinct possibility the SFA will not listen to us diddy clubs. , If it gets proposed by the elite to force there co!ts teams into the lower leagues, then it will be seen as a progressive move.. Are you prepared to accept that, not too sure many league 1 clubs would fancy it, Scottish Football really is a mess and is there any guarantee we will have fans next season, many clubs if that happens will just sit out next season....once bitten twice shy.....
  4. I am sorry w e cannot try and paper over the cracks, apathy reeks in our support and throughout the club, it is now ingrained in the dna.
  5. I think the problem was the "Trust" outgrew the club... Who morphed into Diamonds in the community and all the " big hitters" went to them.. I think the "Trust" remains in name only don't remember much coming from them even pre covid.... Club 1924 has the potential to be a form of supporters club although due this pandemic nothing has came of it yet, the club need a,but of imagination for this to work long term....
  6. The only reason the MacKay signing would make sense is if Connell is being recalled by Killie. The club needs a complete reset and start again, we are going knowwhere
  7. You would think so, but maybe the case of the devil you know, next season whenever it starts and must still be doubtful if any fans will be in stadia at that time. League 1 clubs will still be struggling financially, if they voted for the playoffs and Alloa and Arbroath make the drop and cove and Montrose get promoted...... The relegated clubs have a 500k hand out from Scot Gov in their tail and championship prize money and even although part time they must be favourites to go back up with that financial backup... All hypothetical, after all that is taken into account, I think the league 1 and 2 clubs will ride the furlough scheme like a seaside donkey for as long as they can and then call null and void....
  8. The only name I saw mentioned was Adam King Midfielder on loan from Dundee United, don't know how true though..
  9. As long as clubs test weekly as mooted then , it is only fair that the privileges given to the Top league like the use of changing rooms and showers, travelling by coach etc are now going to be introduced at lower levels otherwise it will reek of double standards...... Getting players to travel alone long distances is ridiculous and I doubt if the pfa will allow it...I The lower league clubs need to stand up as one and if need be get a good lawyer....
  10. That is possibly the worst decision club made in the summer, did we really try to sign him not convinced, He was and is the type of player who would make us genuine contenders, Is the real reason the signing po!icy....... Robert has been the only relative success , even he has been poor at times, Currie not convinced either, the rest. OReilly, Stokes, Mbayo happy to sit on the bench , says it all really.. Whatever happens we need an almost complete clear out in the summer and press reset with Murray or without..
  11. With the players currently banned from training and obviously playing, furlough is the only option, even if we get the go ahead in a couple of weeks, Training protocols would have to commence and not likely to be able to start playing games till last week Feb, I would think this is best case scenario..
  12. Agree exactly, posted similar this morning , but post seems to have went missing in this thread ? Why.....
  13. Probably players at most risk of moving on will be Robert, McCann,Kerr and possibly Currie (who Dunfermline were after in the summer)
  14. Probably a little ahead of Edwards in his development, Kyle is a modern attacking fullback who is far better going forward than actually defending, Hard working, no real pace or final ball, although we don't tend to flood the 18 yard box..... A little bit surprised he is away, there are better full backs in league 1 than him..
  15. We are being linked in the mail for a loan deal for Adam King, he was in loan with yourselves last year, could be usual media drivel... Thoughts
  16. I am surprised you haven't realized this before,Murray is just a patsy, he is working under a dictatorship with no control over signings, has no backroom team of his own and his hands are tied. That said we should still be beating Edinburgh although to be fair they have outplayed us twice away from home so it isn't a fluke.....
  17. What do the club do now, play him and risk injury etc, or wrap him in cotton wool awaiting a bid..... Personally I don't think it is worth the risk in playing the lad, The Agents are doing a fantastic job in promoting their asset to all potential suitors... Let's wait and see ....
  18. Thomas Robert has been a breath of fresh air this season and I would like to compare him with another mercurial talent we had as a young lad a certain Willie MacLaren, Willie was sensational when he first broke into the team, to be honest MacLaren was streets ahead of Robert at this time, The main difference why Robert will 'make it" is his advisors, The Mackays... MacLaren had no advisors or good advice at all and basically spunked a career peaking at St Johnstone under Owen Coyle...... Robert has basically The next 3 years panned out for him , he will be given every opportunity on a plate and then it will be up to him if he really makes it.... The club rightly or wrongly are on good terms with the MacKays who trust us with there cash cow, we are really in a no lose situation here, we are becoming a media whore just like Billy Reid created at Clyde and Hamilton which we were pretty jealous of at the time.. Stuart Millar and the directors are working a blinder here ( I am still critical of his squad building though) we have signed Robert on a long term deal which basically means a value has been signed into his contract and will inevitably go if not this window then in the summer.... The figure at best will be 100 k - 150k max i would imagine . Which would be a fantastic reward forthe club and we could possibly get another promising player in due course from the Mackays which they may see as investment in the club and getting to express their talent in due course...... Whether this arrangement is enough to get us into the championship is an entirely different debate..
  19. Don't think any team can ever take anything for granted once you hit the playoffs, but even more so this year, as the Covid rules can mean a team could lose one or more star players in an instant. Exactly the Browns were decimated out wide last week, which has nearly derailed there pretty impressive season..
  20. As a Bills fan, the team I fear the most in the early rounds of the playoffs are the Ravens (if they get there). Probably the most open season for a long time....
