  1. This is definitely the worst summer for Dundee related interest during the football lull that I can ever remember.

Hartleys first transfer window was a personal favourite.

Will watch the Euro's but don't really give a shite about who wins or loses in any of the games. I'm not one of these fans who claim to hate England yet travel through to fund their league on a weekly basis or spend their spare time in Top 6 English club replicas. Embarassing. The rise in it all becoming political is alot of shite aswell.

Anyway, even if McCracken is announced this week ( which will be a good signing) it's pretty much expected so still won't give major excitement.

Get a few Mexicans or something in FFS Dundee.

    Thank You.

It's as simple as when I'm under stress/pressure in "real life" I come on here and sort of let it out by being a dickhead. I'd rather do that on an anonymous football board and end up chilled around family than be a grumpy arsehole around them.

It's shite for folk reading it which I say to put me on ignore.

On a side note, what's happened to Derry Alli? Haven't seen him post for a while now.

    Oh deary me.

    Make it stop.

    Thank you.

I think this is where the problems came from.

Dundee approach St Johnstone about using McDiarmid. St Johnstone say a fee of around £15k is needed to host a match, and it would need to be written into a contract. Dundee just assume not hosting the game there makes it free, and don't negotiate a lower price if the stadium isn't needed, and sign the contract.

Stadium isn't used so Dundee spend all the time inbetween not believing they owe Saints money.

Its pocket change to both clubs but it really boils down to Dundee being a bit slap dash about it all, when it could've easily been avoided. We've been a complete shambles behind the scenes too so theres every chance we've also missed the fact that was missed then realised we're owed money.

    Very Interesting.

    What happened with Deefiant?

He went missing with all the money and started coming out about some shite about his Mrs having to send it back.

Load of shite. Disappeared ever since which is ironic as soon Perth will be joining the likes of Hamilton, Morten and Livi with their 15K bounty.

    Thank you.

  5. The Perth can shove their away tickets next season for McDairmid after this begging bowl episode.  Not missing much anyway sitting in that soulless shitehole - i'll be purchasing an extra hospitality like Spuddy.

It would be good if there could be a P&B shirt sponsor, however after that w****r Deefiant years ago i doubt people would be up for it now.

As for The Rangers they stayed in 5 star accomodation in St Andrews and subsequently turned up at Dens and played with the passion and grit akin to the bunch of pampered fuds that they are. If the mighty Rangers are too high and mighty for a 2 hour bus journey on the day of match then they can deal with the failures of their own self importance instead of borrowing the begging bowl from Perth.

    Fannies the lot of them.

    Thank you.

Hope we can find away to get rid of him but not that any other team would want him.

He's not nearly as bad as people are making out.

Give him a full pre-season and a chance FFS. How many games has he started for Dundee?

Main can contribute to a successful squad in this league IMO. Docherty clearly thinks so aswell. A bigger worry is resigning Bakayoko - we need better.

    Thank you.

  7. The only players of those in contract who could potentially lead us to the top six next season are:

    McCowan

    Sylla

    Cameron (on his day)

    Carson (on his day)

Maybe Portales, Astley and Main can give us something. There's a few more with potential to shine but alot of manure.

Lots of work to be done by the Doc.

    Thank you.

Those “ultras” of ours are embarrassing. Pitch invading in a meaningless game. Only a handful of people knowing words to chants, wearing balaclavas and all 12/13. Switched my season ticket to the main stand so I don’t need to listen to that drum that is louder than them. Thinking back to previous Dundee derbies and other games were there not older fans at the front section? Not many older fans go to the home games and  I reckon that section are part of the problem.

The whole Ultra thing is horrendous. All dressed in black singing the same songs as every other team and aiming to steal flags pre match.

A dreadful introduction to our national game. It seems so forced and doesn't suit this country.

Thankfully I sit a distance away from the corner now where I was perched on the day Heffernan got the Derry as we knew it shut down.

    Thank you.

Robertson looked a bit upset at the end of the game. Hope he stays as I reckon with a run of games he will improve

People have been saying that for years. Not upto scratch.

Time to go and play weekly for him IMO, which if he has any self belief he should be wanting anyway.

    Thank you.

Yes, I watched the game in full and read the match thread throughout the course so remembered the numerous negative comments there were about him.

I like Anderson, I like his style of play and my preference would always be to have a box to box midfielder in the team. But I agree with @Ludo*1 that the progress of the team/squad in the last year has meant there may not be a place for him anymore. For example, I don't think he's as good as Mulligan who can't get into the team or really influence it when he has done.

My initial post was taking issue with the suggestion that last nights performance proved he was good enough to be playing for a top 6 premiership team next season. He was decent in spells aye, but did he look too good for a relegation threatened team? No, IMO.

    Thank you.

There's no way he should be making the starting 11 at Dens, but I'd also rather have him starting or in the squad than Robertson. I thought he was one of ICT's most composed and impressive players last night not that in being so it's much of an achievement.

Kerr was much worse and people have wanted him to be a starting figure for the last decade.

Robertson is just appalling IMO. Nice and tidy on the ball granted but as a professional footballer he's dugmeat and runs like he's in quicksand. At Ibrox it was no surprise he was skipped past easily every time whilst we collapsed late on. Get rid in the summer.

If we get a good bid for Cameron I'd be letting him go, trying to bring in Boateng on a permanent with Mulligan given the chance to either step up next season or leave next summer.

    Thank you.

What game were you watching?

Did you watch the game? Or going by the words of a few Highland morons online raging after a defeat to Hamilton. Anderson was decent last night but was part of a woeful team performance.

    Thank you.

  12. Watching Inverness on BBC Alba.

Anderson looks very decent on the ball but still a bit weak. As for Kerr he's giving it away every time he's on the ball-  the less said the better. He's not even the best right back on the pitch in a Championship relegation play off. The fact he was our number one right back for years is a crime against our club from morons like McPake and something i'll never get over.

    Thank you.

  13. We haven't been top six quality all season as I've repeatedly said. Hearts battered us as they did at Tynecastle last time when we scored two on the break to somehow lead.

Top six is a great achievement though in what's been one of the most entertaining seasons in ages.

Season ticket sales are vital for strengthening; anyone on the fence get the deed done and let's get these Dayglo twats skelped.

    Thank you.

imo 1st season back up thats all that matters and i'll take the same next season.

    Agreed.

I'm not complaining. More than happy with this season and just pointing out where we're at. There's definitely still a need for big improvements in the summer.

    Thank you.

    Beg to differ.

You are top 6 level because you’re there.

No question it was a bad day today, but as one of your fans said on the match thread, we’re just a bit further down the journey than you.

    Hud your pus.

I've watched Dundee all season and in a better position to comment than you. We've picked up a relegation esque amount of points against the top five and Hibs. We're not at that level yet.

Thankfully we gained a title winning amount of points against the bottom three.

    Thank you.

Well done to St Mirren, a deserved victory today and surely now the long wait for European football will end. Stephen Robinson has done a fantastic job and the backing from the away stand was brilliant. Surprisingly I remember they took even more up to Dens Park 4 or 5 years ago on the last day when they were down in 11th, so you can't fault their travelling support.

The away support numbers were shite IMO. Call it bitter or whatever you want.

As for the football a thoroughly deserved away victory from a team who looked at it from the off. We never looked capable of breaking through your set up.

    Enjoy Europe.

    Thank you.

  17. The formation hampered us and Boateng did not deserve to be dropped IMO. Dodgson had so much of the ball in the first half and there was absolutely nothing for him on but to turn around and give it to Donnelly.

Bakayoko had one of his off days (happens alot against the better sides) and Lamie was utter shite.

We'll need to start competing with the top sides in this division which I'm sure Docherty will address in the summer. Even three of the right additions can make a huge difference.

St Mirren looked better than us today and I have no complaints. We're not top six level yet as I've said for months. The fact we made it and will take the extra revenue is an absolute bonus.

    Thank you.

Oh cmon get real, that was a total outlier. Why would any united fan want to go to an away derby match and watch us be antagonised throughout the whole game knowing our neighbours were gonna relegate us whilst having to watch overpaid Imposters on the pith give absolutely nothing back to our club.

United have been a club since 1909 what you on about! My grandad played for United in the late 50's and been United fans in my family since 1930s so already trumped you there

    No there's not.

Maybe they went to Tannadice on the weeks Dundee weren't at home because Utd were a smalltime irrelevance but they would've been at Dens every other week.

    Thank you.

  19. A big game today but one we should all enjoy. As the sides run out to a decent crowd it shouldn't be forgotten we were held against Cove a year ago to a seething home crowd whilst watching horrific football.

Every fan wants to see progression and we're on the right track. I'll be leaving Dens looking forward to next season at 5pm whatever the outcome.

    Thank you.

In my lifetime, the Dundee support has been poor in comparison to United for the last 30 years plus including in Scottish Cup finals, title deciders. Even in derbys there's been plenty of times where you haven't always sold out the away end.

In the seasons we are in the league below recently we were still taking bigger supports home/away, it's all very strange as to where all the dundee fans have turned to after being the bigger club in the city for the first 60 odd years.

Also Social media United are on top with having 12k more followers on X/Twitter for example. (laugh all you want but this is one barometer of how you engage and attract new fans)

I can't see it ever reverting unless United go into admin and on some kind of massive decline now.

I wouldn't be going on about selling out the away end. More tears fell from Hooleys pus as there was fans in the away end as Utd were sent to the Championship. That was the lowest ever away attendance in a Dundee Derby which includes a match where Dundee fans organised a boycott.

I personally know of Dundee fans who have switched sides. You can have them. The history and traditions of the Dark Blue side are deeply rooted  and whistle through the city's past. My family have been attending Dens since 1930s with memorabilia nearly spanning a century. Show me an Arab who can say the same.

There's only one club with deep rooted, generational continuity in this City.

    Thank you.
