This, all day long! Amazon Prime has that thing where you can check to see which series the actors have been in before, I kept checking to see it wasn't Edie Falco, couldn't believe it. Separated at birth. It is a fantastic series, I was late coming to it but really enjoyed it, and as previous posters have said, bloody addictive. A few familiar faces from the Wire, 24 and various others, would highly recommend.

Fun - well, grim - fact: McFlurries kill loads of hedgehogs. When people chuck them away, the hedgehogs go in snuffling around for the last vestiges of the melted ice cream and chocolate. It is a bit of a strange phenomenon, we do seem to get more out of players who aren't highly thought of elsewhere either before we sign them or after we move them on - Devine, Vincent, Meekings, Fon-Williams, Todorov, Billys King & McKay to name a few. Admittedly, there's probably room for debate on some of those.

Just watched it now, that was largely utter pish. They really need to knock the politics and social culture sketches on the head, although Jonathan Watson still does a decent Neil Oliver. If they kept it to just the football - and I think we can all agree there's enough ridiculousness in Scottish football to take the piss out of for 28 minutes a month, let alone a year - then there might be a future for OAE. It seemed a bit like "We've got Tam from Still Game and that bloke from Taggart so everyone will love it regardless!" Cringey at many parts.

I used to be an avid listener for years, could hear the slow decline for a while though. Got into the Terrace and Soccer FM instead, big fan of both, they're having a well-deserved break over the new year so went back to Off The Ball and ooft... Really wanted to find something positive to say but it is proper 'yer da', outdated, old pals' act stodge. Sad but true.

I just accidentally caught about 7 seconds of the pre-match bullshit on BT Sport and I'm cringing like f**k already.

The players were off to bed early, a few of the backroom staff stayed a bit later. They were chatting to the other guests, enjoying some of the cheesy tunes. They came over and shook my hand when they left, seemed like really sound guys. I wished them luck for the season "apart from tomorrow!" Top notch patter, I know.

A few of them are certainly gifted up front!
