1. I got the Sky Sports Pass from CDKey for a tenner, when I tried to activate it on my PC the Now TV site wouldn't recognise my code but it worked when I tried my Xbox. Another pal was also having problems with the Now TV website, might be worth trying to activate the pass on a different device if anyone else is having bother. Only thought of trying the Xbox 30 minutes after kick-off, doesn't sound like I'm missing much though.
2. Meanwhile, in the world of karting... https://www.planetf1.com/news/luca-corberi-deserves-lifetime-ban/ Some effort maintaining the fury after attempting to seriously injure someone long enough to have a square go in the pit lane afterwards.
3. Hibs @ 7/1 on Bet365, tastier than I was expecting. Will take a wee punt on that.
4. I might as well get us started on the grim clutching at straws, although obviously I would rather the global pandemic just fucked off and left everyone alone. A very unlikely prospect of a bye through to the final for a lube-free encounter with Haaland, where there's a fair chance we'll get the same treatment his Viking ancestors regularly dished out to convents. Cheerful stuff!
5. Blimey, thought my thread might provoke debate but surprised to see it escalate so much so quickly! I tend never to dismiss things out of hand. The 9/11, MMR conspiracies etc, I will look into before giving a rebuttal, even if I think it's bonkers. But if someone is telling me to do my research into an alien cube ten times the size of Earth - which has been seen by NASA coming out of the fucking sun apparently - I'm sorry, life's too short for that shit. As other posters have said, some opinions just do not deserve any respect and I would argue that this is peak that.
6. Right, I thought there was a thread for this but couldn't find it - mods feel free to bin this if I'm wrong. A lad I know, really sound, married to a best friend of a best friend but haven't seen for a while messaged me earlier. Long story short, he genuinely thinks that "an alien cube ship ten times the size of Earth was seen by NASA exiting the sun" and that "Donald Trump has saved thousands of children from underground sex dungeons." Should I have him sectioned? And have any of you ever heard anything as mental as that? Thought I'd heard it all until this batshit crazy nonsense.
7. Cheers folks, knew I could rely on the great and good of P&B for a response to such a question!
8. I'm a bit of a grammar nazi, but there's one thing I'm never sure of. Is it fucks' sake or f**k's sake? Been annoying me for years, I tend to go with the former.
9. De Boer: "We had a lot of weapons in that Rangers team." ...Aye Ronald. You most certainly did.
10. I've seen some appallingly bad patter on P&B over the years, "cat ticklers" is toe-curlingly dreadful though. Oosht.
11. A deserved greenie for "Undead Martian Serpentführer." I'm not sure how, but I am going to try my best to work it into a conversation.
12. The BBC iPlayer seems to be going surprisingly sectarian in lockdown.
13. Is that actually it? First time I've ever said this about a rival Scottish team, but that is phenomenal
14. Just listened to that Sportsound interview with your chairman and he came across well. Seemed like he was knowledgeable, genuinely gave a shit and was willing to speak up. Was refreshing that he answered every question rather than just saying "Oh, well, you know boys, I can't talk about that/it's not for me to mention that." Unlike when the Hamilton chairman gave a masterclass in that the other week - nae offence Hamilton, diddy alliance and all that.
15. I went out to get the Courier for my old man earlier, it's like a bloody pamphlet these days. Feels like there's about six pages in it. And aye weirdcal, pretty sure the ICT shop was up past the clock in the centre to the left, think it became a wee newsagents in the end? Just before you get to Argos, beside the Body Shop if I remember correctly - which is far from guaranteed.
16. I think you're right actually now you mention it, it was on High Street. There was a wee ICT shop for a while, was that up in the centre right at the back? I've lived here most of my life, got a memory like a bloody sieve though. Dissolved too many brain cells in a mis-spent youth!
17. I think@weirdcal is meaning the Rangers merchandise shop which used to be up in the Eastgate Centre, and was indeed beside the Orange shop I believe. You're talking about the Portland Club, used to go to many parties there back in the day. Primarily because they didn't give a shit about serving underagers and if the place got trashed it was very difficult to notice as it was a dive in the first place.
18. Also, Patriot on Amazon Prime is worth a bash. Found it a wee bit hard to get into at first, season 1 is a bit of a slog in the beginning with loads of stuff going on, loved season 2 though.
19. Made a rare foray into this part of the forums to start a thread about Goliath, here will do fine though. Really enjoying it, at the risk of sounding a bit wanky there are some amazing, natural performances in it. Loved Bad Santa, Billy Bob Thornton has almost reprised his role there but his character is a bit more switched on. On an unrelated note, Altered Carbon on Netflix is absolute sex and I will fight anyone who says otherwise. Ruel Street, bring yer maw.
20. Bump. Also, can't help but feel that this recent one from perennial P&B favourite Jose Mourinho has potential. Probably more to come from him with Spurs' recent form too.
