  1. Just asked a Hamilton fan on twitter about Rutledge . Tidy, good Championship standard player BUT injury prone.
  2. I watched the whole of the Hartlepool v Blyth FA Cup game and he scored the winner I am sure . Although have only seen him play once, he looked very lively and loves running at defenders . I have to remind you though that first peeks at North East lower league players can be deceiving . Jon Sunderland anyone ?
  3. No, the door has the chain on and its only an inch ajar.
  4. Well done Falkirk, great day for all concerned .
  5. Got to feel a bit sorry for Chris Mitchell . Been a very good player for us , hasn't been able to get back into the team and is certain to get released. Will never forget his excellent dead ball delivery.
  6. Yes, the team that finishes highest gets to play the second leg at their pad.
  7. I suppose anything that could help distract Hibs would help . With that in mind, a Hibs win over Falkirk would be helpful. ---- Don't know why the play off gap of a week is there this time as opposed to three days last season. First leg Saturday 9th May. Second Leg Wednesday 13th May.
  8. I didnt realise that there was a whole week between our last league game and our first play off ( yes ,I am very much presuming we are there) . This is more rest time than I thought .Last season I am sure we went straight in to the play offs three days after the last league game . With this in mind , I would not make as many changes at once as initially suggested BUT surely this is the time to filter in young guys like Hooper, Smith and even give experienced pros like Millar and Russell more game time . As I said, if we can't see what these youngsters are made of now when can we ? PS thought young Hooper had a tidy game when introduced last Saturday.
  9. Now is the time to see what the rest of the squad has got. No better chance to try out our young/ fringe lads in real competitive action and give some legs a rest for arduous upcoming events .
  10. Rangers fans without the bus fare , I have always thought that . Feel sorry for the real Falkirk fans having to sit amongst them every week. This finally explains why you always roll over and let them tickle your tummy.
  11. If we do finish above Falkirk then surely that will look really bad for Houston. Bigger team with more resources should always finish above a smaller team over a season. Real failure not to .
  12. Oh, you my might be a tad bigger but you haven't got the heart we have .
  13. I have made my point . Got to be - for me- Reilly and Russell up front on Friday and go straight for the throat .
  14. Loop Falkirk will quickly overtake us in the goalscoring stakes if we were to continue along similar lines . Two forwards is the minimum we should play as we aren't up against the likes of friggin Barcelona . Do you think we would be outscoring Falkirk so far by playing Lyle up front supported by a midfielder ?
  15. Not been as pumped up for a game since CC final V Partick which was an all timer. Desperate for all of us fans and the team to prevail on Friday . Let's do it !
  16. A local of a sporting nature that doesn't know we are playing in the QF on Friday might well have been living in a cave for the past month
  17. F***** nonsense . Who do you reckon wants our season to blow up ? Doubt that any of those making comments about our one forward want us to fail .. In three of the games you mention, I am sure we won with two forwards playing and the other was a defeat with one striker. Taking that into account , I'm not sure what your point was caller.
  18. I have heard that Reilly is likely to start and thank #### for that. Let's hope he is not rushed back and pulls up. Surely Russell will partner him ( who else) . I was amazed/ horrified that we have started the last two games with one recognised striker and frankly don't want to see again.
  19. Way back in the early 70's ,I foretold in the year of our lord 2 thousand and 12 years of a dark, foreboding zombie nation team that would appear in the nether regions of Scottish football. I take no pleasure in the accuracy of the dark prophecy.
  20. Oh yes, but I thought sharing this might help my angst.
  21. For the first time ever in my near 45 years existence , I would like to see a the rangers win. Anyone that knows me would struggle to believe that.
  22. Must be too many chemicals in that Auld Reekie tap water.
  23. Wouldn't be surprised at all if the Gallagher boy is good and should be starting for the rangers. They also have a defender on loan at Airdrie ( Gasporotto or something similar) and he is apparently better than what they have in their first team back line. Incompetent is the word all right .
