  1. https://www.alloaathletic.co.uk/product/wasp-tv-on-the-road/ Now updated with the Celtic game - @KierenAAFCand myself are ready. I believe the competition will be Ally McCoist who may be turning out on Premier Sports Rob McLean, Michael Stewart and Packie Bonner on BBC Scotland so avoid that like the plague.
  2. There's nothing illegal about it. It's just against the terms and conditions agreed with Sky. It is, however, impossible to police. The SPFL oversight is always overstated. The SPFL is the clubs and from my understanding of the generally older and technically naive guys in charge; either noone has their finger on the pulse or if they do they keep quiet because it benefits them, at least relatively. The TV deals were the main income in a sponsor less SPFL and still now a majority of the prize money, This might seem a mad stance to take by burning your own income source but the reality is the teams with bigger supports will strengthen compared to the smaller teams and especially teams like mine and yours. A team like Rangers who, credit to them, were miles ahead of everyone on streaming at the beginning of the pandemic probably lose out to TV deals. Tinfoil hat time, when Rangers oppose 10 other Premiership sides to not have fans in the stadium its because they're number one at streaming and the rest will hurt a lot more than they will.
  3. That's why Rangers and Hibernian are doing it.
  4. Charlie Gilmour getting 25 though. Don't know if that was good or not. I'll check the footage later.
  5. https://note.com/footysab/n/n64d40ff6db18 Just to note what the guy is doing in Japan is awesome. My favourite part of this season. Until Mendy plays tomorrow against Nigeria.
  6. Was told to wait and see. But if you've been reading the press looks like Hendo won't be back for the Celtic game. The squad is currently half updated to reflect the ins and outs.
  7. Previewing Celtic's new signings from someone who's followed their careers. Also someone who's supporting the club by sponsoring a player and have got a friend from Japan to sponsor. Which to me is the absolute madness I want to encourage. Turn it round and imagine if it was 4 Scottish boys in Japan. You want to publicise the Scottish interests in the game.
  8. https://www.alloaathletic.co.uk/2022/01/18/watching-out-for-the-japanese-bhoys/ Footysab managed to get a sponsor for Fernandy Mendy's away top too. Japanese Alloa fan club is growing.
  9. Things must be bad. https://www.goal.com/en-cm/galleries/watch-out-mourinho-how-long-do-managers-really-get-after-a/1/78idsra4dku013khh50dg9kp3

  11. Personally I'll take anything less than 5-0. Think that's the scorelines for our last two home games against Celtic Should have some fun content for the programme this week though. And having a packed stadium is always great.
  12. There'll be a news item tomorrow morning. I've already written it just need the okay.
  13. I don't think either team was massively great yesterday. Highlights being 8 ish minutes is a good indication of the lack of action but we might well have grabbed a win had King scored. And on the flipside Smith might have scored a much simpler goal and we'd struggle to break QP down. And again... It's only a worldy we've conceded so functionally in defence we're not that bad.
  14. What I was saying is we will either meet the target or we won't. And I'd imagine once you know where you stand you can assess why it went wrong and build from there. In the time we're waiting for that we can either be a hindrance and dish out all the unfair criticism we feel is justified. The place becomes toxic like it is just now. Or we can enjoy the moments (perhaps in isolation) where we are a functional team and point out where there is constructive criticism to be given about how we're playing (because we're not yet 2010 Barcelona). But that's not what's being said. If we'd played the last two games in the manner of Airdrie and Cove Rangers there's legitimate reason to be terrified about how we're going to stack up but we've again came out and improved against Queen's Park and Montrose.
  15. And ultimately the manager will be judged by his performance but actively trying to provoke him isn't helpful in the meantime. And I have my headphones on most of the time, but I've heard folk during other games telling the players how shite they are. Last year Peter Grant left because he didn't meet his target. Now our stated aim, winning the title was probably too ambitious. We still have the chance at least to finish 4th. I think last night on Clyde 1 Ferguson said with performances like that we can finish 4th. I'd imagine making the playoffs is the bare minimum expectation. for where we should be competing.
  16. I make the point especially because you said Paddy should be emptied. I disagree with that totally. The people that work for the club are no less fans than the people in the stands. There's completely valid reasons to why Paddy is telling fans to encourage the team and ignores the whataboutery of the reply questions. Personally I heard from the stand yesterday. "Please QP score so we can just get rid of him." How much of a distraction is that during a game?
  17. Can anyone decipher this for me? Boris Johnston = isolated. Pretty sure he's in the news for not doing that. Because having another job outwith your part time job is normal. Let fans know what's happening? Training twice a week and a game on the Saturday, usually. ??
  18. Someone's comment from Facebook. Which I thought was bold but interesting. At the end of the day the management will be given time to do their job. Negativity is not a good long term motivator and it's a negative spiral, we'll be moon-howling like across the river soon. Turning on Paddy whether he was in the right or wrong, who's given 10+ years to Alloa is pretty distasteful. His part in all our successes is not half forgotten quickly. Yesterday was a good point against a good team with the tinge of disappointment because we need every scrap we can get and it was there to be taken. Nothing more, nothing less and you've got a pretty balanced view.
  19. Aye had network issues five minutes before the beginning of the game. Sod's law it works fine until right up until my commentators go live.
  20. Text from the government after you tell the government it's negative I would think.
  21. Two or three if your second wasn't in the last 4 months.
