I too am in the situation of solo-carrying a stream (and our social media, website, probably a few other things that aren't as succinct.) It's helped me to try to make everything super-efficient - one of those efficiency savings was setting up a stream and streaming service independent of Pixellot. I know that's not helpful and probably viable for you guys but every stream I think of the relief that I'm not worrying about how it'll function.

Scottish Cup 4th Round 21/22 - who're you wanting?

A wee team at home to dole out another thrashing. Worst nightmare is Hibs/Hearts/Aberdeen in Alloa. Our streaming will handle 14,000 people - our website on the other hand is the limiting factor. The exact load where our website will break? Submarine captain time. -
Shoutout to the Falkirk Stadium too - The only stadium I've ever been at the very back genuinely concerned I need to put away equipment because of the rain.

I mentioned in commentary that I was using Bonnyrigg as a yardstick for the Lowland League because our previous clash against rangers B was a glorified friendly. I've often been suspicious about the lack of depth in the league but we were playing like a Harlem Globetrotters' exhibition match at times. Barring a shaky opening from kick-off that was crying out for a finish and a Bonnyrigg opener Hutton never had a save to make.
-
I mentioned during the commentary that it looked fairly empty. The area behind the goal was closed and the away stand still wasn't full so claims of 600 Bonnyrigg fans seems ridiculously optimistic. Our end was noticeably sparse as I assume season ticket holders didn't fancy the £18 and the community passes weren't valid. PPV was the worst ever audience figures too.

I can tell you that I was last in the ground and everyone cleared off well before Barry had came out for a quick presser. But there was still one other journalist about. Some of these folk who get in free are right arseholes, and that's just me.

I have a suspicion he won't be that happy. -
I'm feeling a draw in my gut - it's sod's law we'll be over at Bonnyrigg on a cold night on the 7th December.

I think you're really overestimating what Alloa can afford. -

I've said this before but our job is only part-time. There needs to be perspective. While we have been spoiled in the past by managers who devoted every waking hour to the job, Jim Goodwin, for example was famously the sweetie man and there were many occasions you couldn't catch him due to his day job. It made the programme a particular issue to produce. Barry has his day job as a pundit. That's got its advantages that you can live and breathe football as opposed to being something that's quiet but equally as time consuming. I imagine there's probably an advantage in who you rub shoulders with with the other managers and ex-players going about in the media. -
The only two real chances I cut out were Sena hitting one behind the goal that I thought went in at first glance and Orsi skewering an effort ridiculously off target from a promising position on the edge of the box. 11 minutes tends to have too many highlights for most games so I hope that it was pretty good reflection of what happened. I'm pretty sure we'd have won it if we had 11 men. Got to be chalked up to Mendy having a mare. Even the penalty, Mendy's defending - I don't know what he's doing. He's ran past the ball, missed bodying the player if that was what he was going for.

I was just going to mention positively - We've not conceded many chances in a few games now. We're very rarely getting opened up and it is just scrappy set piece efforts that are worming their way in. I feel like we are lacking a bit of imagination and execution but 4 games unbeaten now. -

I'd wager it's a fair point to mention Forthbank for Stirling Albion is in a piss-poor position. If you had the stadium closer to the town and the train station it would be a great wee setup and more folk would attend. They do have a massive catchment area to exploit but I'm not convinced they've got the most competent people in charge. Which is the problem with being a fan owned club I guess. -

Partick threatening legal action from an unwinnable position. Take me back to before the pandemic -
I'll have Montrose ones at midnight this Saturday, but only when you're playing Alloa. I was just telling you how it can be done. You've got pixellot doing the live stuff and I assume your camera guy is cutting clips out of his handheld footage after watching it back.
-
For the stuff I put on YouTube about 1/2 hours depending on how many goals and fiddly replays are going on. I hotkey roughly 12 second clips during the game - using them for replays on the live stream and half time highlight reel. Those clips are then synced with the main footage and I cut around the start of play/the beginning of coherent commentary.

Handballs are regulation based, & on current guidelines was clear as day. touches the ball with their hand/arm when it has made their body unnaturally bigger. A player is considered to have made their body unnaturally bigger when the position of their hand/arm is not a consequence of, or justifiable by, the player’s body movement for that specific situation. By having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised He was in the most natural position running. When folk ask me was it a handball - I just tell them it hit his hand. The rule as it currently is, is more of a joke than the deliberate handball version.

Just because I happened to be leaving as he gave interviews to the press. Missed the opening question about the equalising goal and I assume the red hot form of Henderson. Cut the yellow card talk out but tldr he punched a ball after a foul wasn't given on Boyd and the referee is allergic to anyone being passionate. -
Professional interest. Mainly because I wondered how Falkirk had managed to drag 9 minutes 47 seconds of highlights from that game. I though I was doing well to get 7.
