  1. Very tidy player is my impression but... we are struggling going forward and I don't think Charlie's the kind of guy to provide that. I've struggled to look at any teams other than the ones in our league this year. Has Murray Davidson, warrior god, finally ran out of steam?
  2. The only problem I have with the thread is it sounds like bad journalism 'and' separately Tom English to me. I've not got a better suggestion. Starring Tom English maybe. As soon as he became a regular on Sportsound a few years ago, I gave up. Even pulling him up for his 500 fans misery is giving him way too much attention. It's criminal what BBC Scotland serve up.
  3. https://www.alloaathletic.co.uk/2021/12/23/alloa-vs-falkirk-500-capacity/ Be the same for Queen's Park on the 15th. Hopefully things calm down before the Celtic game.
  4. At least it gives you something to complain about. Might run out of talking points otherwise.
  5. Unfortunate not to get the game called off. I had a bit of hope in the second half when it worsened but then it improved. Still an awful night for football.
  6. Just on my tactical view of the game - we started well as Cove were really narrow - Allowing our full backs to sit highter. As soon as Vigurs went off McIntosh got joy as a winger coming in from the touchline. I didn't think Taggs had a great game today. Another cliche for the commentary but when he doesn't play well going forward we don't tend to make much. Henderson was doing the Harry Kane - come short to get the ball and be involved but there wasn't enough positive 1-2 passes ala Andy Graham's odyssey to the byline - I think there's a real necessity to support the lone striker especially when like Henderson he's going to struggle aerially and we don't really do it enough. Sammon was interesting coming off the bench. He's much better at the unselfish run to make space that Henderson's doesn't really have in his locker yet. If you could genetically splice Hendo and Sammo into one player that would be interesting.
  7. I remember Allan Maitland's relegation season. Do I count as old?
  8. Don't try and depress me. I'll have to change the 404 page if we go down. As much as today was rough again, there should still be enough quality in the team to avoid the drop. Assuming another few additions in January too.
  9. If it's played behind closed doors. 200k out of Stirling Albion's pocket would be quite funny. It's substantial for us but only about worth the combined total of season tickets.
  10. https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/joint-response-group-update-17-december/ Just reading between the lines here - sounds like there will be disruption. We don't have the same luck as last year to be in a mostly full-time league. If you enjoy watching football in person I'd be making a point to enjoy it now.
  11. To be fair that's just a flex. Do you know what the cost of lumber is these days?
  12. Certainly a couple from North America are legitimately tuning in from their locale. If I looked through there's more than likely 3/4 english people but I'd still class them as world wide wasps
  13. The issue with actually having fair pricing - 65 fans watching the stream today from 9 countries It costs next to nothing to stream even if it's to noone. There's no competition with actually being there because they're priced the same. It'd take a lot of benevolence to drop these prices and potentially drop your income especially because people decide to stay at home instead of travel which is the biggest saving.
  14. Can categorically say if there's something Andy doesn't know about football it's not worth knowing.
  15. Not that I'm advocating anyone tapping up Andy Graham and appointing him as manager - but it's inevitably going to happen at some point and it's 100% what Stirling should do right now.
  16. Just think if you could have managed at least a shot on target against us you might have drawn Celtic
  17. Are the slots not late on Saturday and then Sunday bookended by the BBC games on Friday and Monday?
  18. The worst thing about this is thinking if by slim odds we aren't on TV there's some serious work to be done to ensure I'll have the capacity to stream.
  19. Some of you boys will be delighted. We'll undoubtedly get a mention on Go Radio now.
  20. Personally, I reckon its because it looks good for their diversity quotas to have the token woman on. but then Heather Dewar who at least used to do sportsound open all mics at ours was much better. I've not listened in a while since I started doing the commentary for us.
  21. Yeah I understand. Saturday against Bonnyrigg is an excellent showcase of how our stream looks because that footage literally was what was streamed. On any solo issues - This is turning into a ridiculous ramble but this is where my process is on a Saturday at the moment.
