  1. Who won this one? Must have been loads of contenders?
  2. No, but they would have to sanction and fund the signing. I refer you to the club statement of January 5th 2022. "None of this will happen overnight, and we fully expect it will take the entire duration of our three-year directorships to come to fruition. Our short-term priority is, of course, to support Martin and Kenny and give them the resources they need to put a winning team on the pitch. To do that, we’ll always make decisions we believe to be in the best interests of the club, whether those decisions are popular with all fans or unpopular with some. Longer-term our goal is to rebuild the whole club on and off the pitch and to restore, in full, its former status as one of Scotland’s best run football clubs. We thank you all for your warm welcome and support so far, and commit to always working hard in the best interests of Falkirk Football Club. Our club belongs to all of us, and we all have a part to play in getting us back to the Premiership. We look forward to working with you over the coming months and years"
  3. Airdrieonians Alloa Athletic Clyde Dumbarton Falkirk Kelty Montrose Peterhead Queen of the South Queen’s Park. Is this how our own supporters really now see us? Are we running scared from Clyde, Peterhead, Alloa, Dumbarton and Kelty? And happy to accept 4th place in this list of dross in the 3rd tier of Scottish Football?? With that defeatist attitude we'd be as well handing in our League membership. Get a grip, it isn't time to run up the white flag just yet. Appoint the right experienced manager, move on a good few of the worst of the worst of our current squad, sign a decent spine and we should be fine. But as a the Killie game from season 2015 -16 should have taught us, a good big un is always better than a good little un. We need to make sure that we sign a few giants for next season.
  4. You're wrong, I care. I want us to lose. Anything to stop KM getting the manager's job.
  5. Clyde 1 Airdrieonians 2 Cove Rangers 2 Dumbarton 0 Falkirk 2 Alloa Athletic 2 Montrose 1 Queen's Park 1 Peterhead 2 East Fife 0
  6. Never keen on quoting one of my own posts but this is to put this post into context. Even although we haven't heard it much lately, I'm sick to death of Amarillo being the song that is played when we score a goal. What about You're The First, My Last, My Everything by Barry White instead? "The first, my last, my everything And the answer to all my dreams You're my sun, my moon, my guiding star My kind of wonderful, that's what you are I know there's only, only one like you There's no way, they could have made two You're all I'm living for Your love I'll keep for evermore You're the first, you're the last, my everything" Start at the 0.50 mark on the video below. Just a thought,
  7. Can't speak for others but not in my case. Are you skiving on P&B by any chance?
  8. Fair enough, but it is when they are doing their punditry work instead of doing the work that we are paying them for that really pisses me off, (see attached video). Mind you, more often than not, when Jim Jefferies and Yogi Hughes had a spare few hours they were driving up and down the length of the UK to take a look at players for the betterment of Falkirk FC, not doing punditry work just to line their own pockets. I am no fan of Yogi but when he was the manager you could never complain about his work ethic or his passion to succeed.
  9. Not acceptable, as you yourself agreed in a previous post. We are not a fucking hobby for Miller, he gives us 100% of his time and attention or he can fcuk off. I am sure that there are plenty of other potential managers out there who would gladly give us 100%. To paraphrase the late, great Barry White, Falkirk are My First, My last, My Everything, I would expect that while a manager is working for Falkirk that that is his position too.
  10. Edited, sorry, I misread your post. If you are in the top league and you finish 2nd then you are guaranteed a place in Europe, quite a prize. In our league 2nd place, unless it leads to promotion, is nothing.
  11. 2 games to go, Airdrie are 5 points behind. Mathematically possible but unlikely. What is so difficult to understand? We could finish in 2nd place in the league for the next 10 seasons but if we don't get promoted then we have achieved nothing. There is little difference between 2nd and 5th if ultimately you don't get promoted.
  12. 2nd place is nowhere if you don't get promoted. I reiterate, to date he has won feck all.
  13. I'm really not getting the love-in for Ian Murray on here. Has anybody had a look at his wiki page? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Murray_(footballer) He's done feck all. My big fear is that if he is appointed we get the usual spiel of "we have to give him time", "this is a long term appointment", we need to get some stability at the club". No, we need to get somebody in who has won something or achieved a promotion, not somebody who has won nowt. Or else we'll be a part-time club celebrating our 150th anniversary in the 3rd tier of Scottish football. Cue the fireworks display.
  14. Airdrieonians 2-0 Dumbarton Clyde 1-2 Montrose Cove 2-1 Alloa Athletic East Fife 1-0 Falkirk Peterhead 1-1 Queen's Park
  15. Not sure about Tommy Wright. I think Oran Kearney at St. Mirren used to commute from Northern Ireland.
  16. You mean completely, surely? In our predicament we need our manager giving us 100% of their time and attention.
