  1. I'm beginning to suspect that the new board are just as intransigent as the old board. The old board were determined to stick with Sheerin even when it was obvious to the world and his wife that he wasn't up to the job. It took the disastrous Q&A followed by a pumping off of Queen's Park before they would admit that they were wrong. If the new board are just as headstrong and insist on continuing with Rennie then they aren't the wonderful upgrade on the old board that we were promised. There is no shame in admitting that you were wrong, the real shame is in not admitting that you were wrong. #RENNIEOUT

  3. "Martin, you are an absolutely shite manager with no man management, motivational or tactical skills and the recent results and performances have been abysmal. So, I am afraid that you have left us with no choice. We're promoting you to Sporting Director". That'll teach him.
  4. What is the opposite of Midas touch? Need antonyms for Midas touch? Here's a list of opposite words from our thesaurus that you can use instead. Noun Opposite of the ability to gain success or financial reward from one's actions reverse Midas touch tainted touch Rennie touch kiss of death
  5. NEVER in all my 50+ years of supporting the Bairns have I wanted a season to end as much as I want this season to end. Just put us out of our misery.
  6. This. I was red dotted for saying that £350k wasn’t much of an investment. It would take a minimum of a seven figure sum to get us on an even keel, paying off the dross with their 2 and 3 year deals, signing some decent players and bringing in a quality management team.
  7. What next for the Falkirk managerial merry-go round? With Hartley we recruited a relatively successful manager and then implemented the so called Brentford model, signed some donkeys, completely screwed over our academy and we had a dreadful season. We then poached McKinnon from Morton on the back of him having had a successful 6-month spell at Raith Rovers. Got us relegated and had a terrible start to the next season in League 1 and he was emptied. Next we went cheap with M&M who were way out of their depth an' stuff like that and had to go. Holt took over to ‘steady the ship’ and couldn’t even get us into the play-offs. (Sorry, keep us in the play-off places). Went cheap again with an untested Sheerin, so far out of his depth that he made M&M look like Brian Clough and Peter Taylor. Tried a left field appointment next in Martin Rennie, I was 100% behind his appointment but it just hasn’t worked out. Well, what is our next move? We can do either of 2 things: Go with one of the dreaded, experienced but useless, “usual suspects” in your Gus McPherson / Jim Duffy / Allan Johnston type mould, OR Spend some big bucks and get somebody really decent in. Who? While he is a well-known Orangeman would a punt on Tommy Wright be worth a go? Sorry, but I’m really struggling to come up with some names without sounding ridiculous and suggesting a Jack Ross type appointment.
  8. it was about GBP200K, right? Hardly a massive injection of cash.
  9. What you said. People found it strange that the Rawlins' were able to wield so much power for such a small cash investment, not because of their ties to Gary Deans.

  11. Whassup Shagger? You seem to be sniping a lot more than usual on here, no' getting yer hole or summat?
  12. From Martin Rennie's Wikipedia page: On 29 October, with his side finishing 3 points short of making the play-offs Rennie was fired[10][11] from the Whitecaps after their most successful MLS season to date where they finished on 48 points, 5 more than the previous season. The Whitecaps also won the 2013 Cascadia Cup[12] and won more games than they lost for the first season in their history.[13] Bob Lenarduzzi, president of the Whitecaps cited inconsistent performances and tactics as well as a failure to win the Canadian Championship as reasons for his dismissal.[14 So, Rennie's got previous.
  13. These 2 statements within your post are exactly why we must push the boat out and pay over the odds if necessary to get a good, decent manager in. If we get somebody decent and experienced in who hits the ground running and gets us off to a flying start next season then hopefully come September all the fans swithering about buying a season ticket will actually dip into their pockets and buy one. If we show some ambition and resolve then the fans will buy into it. You have to speculate to accumulate!
  14. M&M and Sheerin were straight out of Aldi budget appointments and look where that has got us. We're in the last chance saloon, you have to speculate to accumulate. They had better find the money from somewhere to appoint a decent manager.
