  1. At Christmas time, no less. The word 'Scrooge' comes to mind...
  2. If your wife is banging a drum and shouting at you for 90 minutes that's probably an issue with you, not the Kelty ultras.
  3. This had better be included in the highlights package
  4. Win bonus is a section of a conservatory - get enough to win the league and play-offs and by the end of the season they'll have a full one. If reports from outwith the club are to be believed.
  5. If they are recruiting from the LL then Swift and Jardine are undoubtedly the best options, if either can be tempted away from their current jobs. With Jardine I think he's taken Civil Service about as far as you could reasonably go, unless he is pretty happy staying in Edinburgh. Swift may want to stay and challenge for the league this year and next, at the moment he's got as good a chance of winning it with BSC as he would with EK, moreso this year. Either that, or a miraculous return of Lauchlan to the fold...
  6. Final scores from this afternoon: Camelon 2 - 1 Linlithgow Rose Broxburn 2 - 4 Tranent Dunipace 1 - 0 Bonnyrigg Rose Caledonian Braves 3 - 0 Bonnyton Thistle East Kilbride 1 - 0 East Stirlingshire Kelty Hearts 2 - 0 University of Stirling Last night: BSC Glasgow 6 - 1 Preston
  7. As much as the quality of the league is improving I still think there's value in teams having a big lump in the centre of the park who will be fine playing against the bottom half and give better midfielders a rest, so long as they are rotated out before they play the non-jobbers. All depends on how Kelty use him, I suppose
  8. Takes some doing to be the biggest tinpot club with delusions of grandeur in this league, but fair play to Spartans, they are refusing to relinquish the title.
  9. Unless there is other stuff going on in the background, if you are going to walk out after being benched for a cup game against pretty poor LL opposition, maybe it's better for both parties just to cut ties sooner
  10. It does come across as pissy because there's no actual update, so Kelty could have entirely done without it - but where would Scottish football be without small-time pettiness?
  11. I don't know about that, I had a couple of pints to drown my sorrows on Friday.
  12. He looked like he was on the verge of a rick a lot of the time, but we weren't really up to much on Friday. I think if he's under more pressure he might make some mistakes, but against most teams in this league I can't see him being too bad. Whether that's good enough for Raith is another question.
  13. Basically just the East Kilbride game again. I didn't think there was a big difference between the sides and a draw maybe would have been a fair result. Tapping had the beating of Austin for the most part, and neither side created a lot of chances, but ultimately we let in a soft goal and never particularly troubled Kelty too much afterwards. They managed the game very well after the goal. I thought at half time that whoever scored first would probably win, and so it was.
  14. Even if that is the case, I think it would take us playing at the top of our game to beat Kelty, and since this is a big game there's every chance we will not turn up. I really don't know how it will go, but I'm really looking forward to it, should be a great game.
  15. He would only have played against them for us twice, so he must be talking about another club. He did score when we beat them at the end of 16/17 but that was basically a dead rubber as EK were getting ready for the play-offs after winning the league. Didn't score against Spartans either iirc. To be fair to him he was not the only player to not turn up in big games
  16. Wasn't able to make it today, but excellent result to come back and win it late against CSS. Big Dish continuing his excellent form
  17. Sounds like some game, CB have the goals on their twitter page but IDK if they post full highlights of matches. One for fans of dodgy defending. https://twitter.com/CaleyBraves/status/1179169820853620736 Absolute gutter for Dalbeattie after being 5-2 at one point. Haven't the entity known at the time as Edusport been involved in a few high-scoring draws in the past few seasons? Seem to vaguely remember another 5-5 at one point, but I could be losing it.
  18. He was mentioned on an episode of the Terrace Podcast earlier in the season, iirc they said he was a bit of a bombscare. I guess there's always the dropping down two divisions to factor in. Do Kelty need another centre back?
  19. Yes, I have been impressed with Brown in the admittedly little I've seen of him. Would like to see him up front in a two with Matty Flynn, as I don't think Flynn is best used as a lone striker, but IDK who they would be willing to drop from the midfield to fit him in.
  20. A lot of the players we've got in should be of good enough quality in this league, but often haven't performed. TBH the most frustrating thing is that, despite having a sizeable squad, we seem to play the same 11 with the style every game, with the same problems cropping up time and time again. No one in this league is good enough to just steamroller everyone they come up again, league winners need to be adaptable and maximise their abilities to hamper the opposition. Teams aren't daft and will us sussed out, if they've not already. But thankfully it's a diddy cup and this allows us to focus on the real goal this season - the SPFL Reserve League 2
  21. "Well as you can see, the Edusport entity doesn't exist any more, so as much as I'd love to, I can't refund your fees for this season."
