Id imagine people sat on 80% wedge with their employer weighing up ongoing viablility of their business with every flip flopping update to restrictions would disagree with whether or not its relevant
That's a totally separate issue from how much it's costing the government though.
Maybe I misunderstood your post but it seemed like the concern was over how much it was costing to keep furlough going. Apologies if I've picked you up wrong.

So the government can simply keep borrowing or printing money until the end of time to prop up the economy? No bother pal.
Maybe not at this level forever (forever, ever). There'll be some sort of constraint at some point but we're obviously nowhere near that. An extra 3 or 4 months of furlough spending is meaningless in the long-run when you've already 14 months in.
How much this is costing the government is really the absolute last thing to take into consideration when you're discussing about lifting restrictions. The government doesn't operate like a normal person when it comes to borrowing.

Eh?
you do realise that at some point this has to be paid for so it absolutely does come into the argument?
I've been through this before, on this very thread, about 14 months ago but I'll just reiterate again: that's not how government debt works.

People are still on furlough. We are atill paying a fucking fortune for the current restrictions which demonstrably dont curtail infection, so that needs to be squared aswell in the argument. How long do you keep paying to retain restrictions that dont actually work, when your stated goal is to lower transmission.
It shouldn't come into the argument at all. The argument for or against restrictions should have nothing to do with how much the government is spending on furlough.

He's kinda right though. MacPherson is a debt hawk (he had an article in Prospect earlier this year defending austerity, again).
If Labour appointed him then folk on here would be talking about the Red Tories.

England are a good side with a lot of quality (particularly on their bench) but if I went for a joint XI on the semi-final line-ups I'd have it 7-4 in Italy's favour (Kane, Sterling, and the full-backs from England).
England would mostly fill the bench though.

This is quite evidently an enormously untrue statement.
Let me rephrase that. Nobody cares if you, a poster on an internet forum (or a non-entity on social media), announce to everyone that you won't be wearing a mask.

Grandstanding over not wearing a mask once they're no longer mandatory is oddball, wee guy, behaviour.
Wear a mask. Don't wear a mask. Nobody cares. You're hardly Claudette Colvin for going into a shop without one.

It's probably a test result from February that the club are only getting round to announcing now.

Simping for Andy Burnham is as bad as simping for Sturgeon or Sridhar.

Having started and finished The Witcher 3, HoS, and probably 50% of BaW, I'd definitely have voted for TW3 in my top 10.
I found it a real struggle to get into, mainly because it feels like they chuck you into the deep end. Once I got properly into Velen - and the Bloody Baron in particular - it really stepped up a few gears.
Not without its drawbacks (there's unnecessary grind, it's too long, it gets repetitive, and every other criticism you can aim at every open world game) but I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would after my first 10 hours.

Feels a bit like the Grant Munro situation, only reversed.
The manner of Gardyne's exit bothered me but I don't really care that he's ended up a Caley. It probably would be different if they were at our level and he was playing against us regularly.

I thought Chow was rubbish (although he was unfavourably marketed as a replacement for Jackson Irvine) Couldn't pass. Couldn't tackle. Could run about all day though.
He might be okay at non-Premiership level.

Perth isn't in the Highlands.

The Cromarty shout is a good one, however the best empire biscuits are from Harry Gow's.

Joma have got some decent, simple, stuff for a few good European sides (Torino had lovely button collar one a couple of seasons ago?). We'll get a rubbish catalogue number though.
Richie Foran being involved made me chuckle. Andy Barrowman balances that out at least. So that's us still in a net deficit for good news.

The total lack of professionalism over the last week has been astonishing. My gast is flabbered and my flabber is gasted.
There have always been moments and occasions when County have looked like an amateur outfit (and that's only on the park!) but this is a new low.

Needless to say, Derek Adams has had the last laugh.

It would be nice if Glasgow could drop down a tier soon so I can go see Sound of Metal and First Cow.
I'm going to apologise in advance because the cinemas are back open in the Highlands but... Sound Of Metal is really good. One of those films that you probably have to see in the cinema to really appreciate the sound.

Actually to the point that I’m not sure Mackay or Uncle Roy will survive this.
Behave. They'll both be here by the time the season starts.
The wider point on the club being dreadful at communication is true. I think it's fair to speculate that the club have never effectively replaced the gap left by Ranald, or even Adams Snr.
The "genuine fans" comment from Mackay is a really weird move too.
