I don't have a Facebook account, and I got your DM by the way. I've only just seen your comments here, and I was going to reply, in fact I was halfway through typing it out, then I thought what's the fucking point and I didn't bother.
Just finished reading the Q&A, and as ever Lachlan dealt with them in a much more civil manner than they deserve. Do the Crate brothers think because their pub is linked with the club they are free to go on like that, they're an utter embarrassment. Same with that mutant Ian Dunlop, who has either been on the drink or never made it past primary 3.
I'm sure for an owner who's been looking to sell the club, looking for a new manager is the last headache he needs, so wouldn't be surprised if Stewart gets it permanently, barring an absolute disaster run of games. Needs to bring in a couple of assistants though
I think going in an upward direction will be a real challenge. While I agree Stewart is the right appointment for now it still feels like we know very little about his role at the club, and how influential he is. Recruitment will be a bugger if we need to bring folk in in January, very hard to replicate McCall's record there, whoever the manager is
They'll be even worse when he's not able to answer half the questions, because really, the stuff they're likely to ask won't have been decided yet or it's not appropriate to disclose
Move fast to appoint someone or see how it plays out with Stewart & Kerr. Tough call, don't really want to be taking someone else's manager at this stage of the season as it's a pretty scummy move, but the out of work minters who will be salivating over their CV at the moment fills me with dread.
