  1. Does anyone know if/when half season passes will go on sale?
  2. From the outside - it seemed like he was being forced out on loan somewhat against his will (having turned down a move to Alloa), then was used as a sweetener between QP and yourselves due to the formers predicted extended use of the ground. I can’t imagine anyone would be too happy about that! Still fairly disappointing if he’s literally pretending to be ill, as I’ve heard from a few people. I was absolutely fuming when he signed for you as he’s the exact type of player Clyde desperately require and aside from the stadium connection, such a talented player dropping down two levels made absolutely no sense.
  3. This has maybe already been asked, but Martindale said on the Open Goal podcast he was on that you had a ad coming in on trial that had a couple of multi-million pound transfers under his belt... any info on who that was?
  4. One obvious way for clubs to bump up support in this day and age is social media engagement. Player interviews, training videos, literally anything. It's got to be content, content, content. Keep promoting the club. Even if that means that some of the younger fans are more engaged and continue their support, it helps. Clubs like Open Goal and Hashtag United are obviously an extreme example of this, having built up a following before even having a team, but the lack of anything at all coming out of the club is just a sign of intense malaise. Fair play to the boys running the podcast for trying to increase fan engagement, but even then what do they get for their time? Absolute VLs on here giving them a keyboard tanking.
  5. By the way - did anyone else see Rob Jones palling about with Barry Cuddihy on Saturday? Not playing much at his club in Ireland and Duffy has signed him before... I smell danger
  6. Kind of disagree here. Falkirk definitely seemed to be on top for large sections of the game, but also looked pretty toothless (admittedly odd for a game where we conceded three goals - two very good finishes from set pieces and a brain fart from Scullion, we weren't cut open). I'd heard good things about Burrell but his early miss seemed to set the tone for him and I thought he was poor. Alegria was worse. Seemed like we were comfortable allowing Falkirk to keep the ball and soak up the pressure. I think Duffy played it well.
  7. Really enjoyed that game on Saturday - obviously still a lot to work on but that was really positive performance.
  8. Any elaboration on who Duffy’s assistant will be? Also, how are we paying Danny? Is it instalments? Is it the full length of his contract?
  9. Was going to ask this too, had to work late so couldn’t make it. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
  10. We can't even really do classic Duffyball because we don't have a striker to hit
  11. I'm deadly serious about wanting to re-sign one of the poorest players I've ever seen in a Clyde jersey, yeah
  12. This is exactly what we have to hope for for the rest of the season as it stands, that's some buzz. It's barely even November. I wonder if he'll bring in anyone in the next window. Rob Jones only has 2 goals in 12 games for Finn Harps, maybe they'll be looking to loan him out in January.
  13. I heard that actually, what was going on there? Just someone being an arse about not being able to get turned out?
  14. Might as well lean in to being small time at this point. Arguing over wee bits of encroachment is almost all we have. Return to your Rugby Park palace, hope you feel like a big cool guy.
  15. The lino will be looking at the taker - it almost always happens. That's the reason most keepers at our level take steps off the line to narrow the angle, they know they won't get caught because the focus will be on the taker and making sure there's no encroachment. Picking a team at random, I typed 'Stirling Albion penalty' into YouTube and sure enough the first video that popped up (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxs-wET5c1c) shows the Stirling keeper taking a blatant step off the line, just to demonstrate my point. Should be noted too, Sula and Gallagher (I think) were having a bit of a shoving match on the edge of the box which the ref spoke to them about, so that takes focus further away from the keeper.
  16. We’ll probably at least draw a game at some point in the future, but you have to wake up every morning being the type of wee freak that jumps onto a team not even occupying the same league as the one you supports forum at half 8 on a Sunday for a trolling sesh. Absolutely incredible scenes.
  17. Not to keep digging out Cameron, but you could see early that even his team mates were roaring at him (Sula and Roberts both clearly frustrated with him at various points today). Personally, I would have moved Roberts out right and brought on Allan for Cameron. Not that Roberts is a wide midfielder, but we just have no other option. Unfortunately, the squad assembled by Danny Lennon is absolutely atrocious in so many ways.
  18. Agreed that there's a fair few - Moffat at Clydebank etc. It's always a risk though, the jump in level is bigger than people may assume and you'd be asking a manager in with a shout of winning a lower league title to jump into a relegation scrap with a poor squad and immediately get relegated. It's not a great platform to build on. The obvious choice is to give it to Allan Moore until the end of the season (if he fancies it). He's been a competent manager and enjoyed success (and crushing defeat, mind you). That way we can take our time considering the next step, see what league we'll be playing in, and give the new manager a summer window to clear the decks and bring in his own squad. If Moore doesn't fancy it, look to bring in one of the more experienced, out of work managers to the end of the season to try and keep us up, to be replaced by the successful applicant.
  19. You'd think as a fan owned club there would be some degree of transparency available to owners. It's one of the (myriad) reasons I didn't renew. Paying two people to do jobs when we have no idea of their day-to-day and the downstream process - especially when he have volunteers propping the club up at various levels. Absolutely horrendous from the club. It just makes it look like the real reason we have no info is the club has been conned into giving two charlatans contracts. It wouldn't surprise me if the board wasn't even aware of their process. We can't even name one player that's come from those people.
  20. I think we’ll end up offering it to Allan Moore until the end of the season, and the next manager will hinge on the league we play in.
